Ohio is becoming a dumping ground for radioactive and toxic waste. In 2011, 12.8 million barrels of toxic, radioactive fracking waste were dumped into Ohio wells, and over half of that came from Ohio and Pennsylvania.

We're sorry, but you cannot take action on this alert. This may be because the alert is restricted to specific states or to constituents of specific representatives, or because your address does not match a ZIP code we can properly map to your representative, or because your representative does not have a contact email address or webform. :-(

Using water in fracking fluid ruins it for all other uses. Used fracking fluid must be stored in containers from which it can NOT escape until it can be re-used as fracking fluid. Algal biodiesel is expected to become cost-competitive with petroleum in 2016 and replace petroleum over several more years. Methane already leaking from unstable seabed deposits all along the coast especially near deltas of large rivers should be able to replace natural gas from fracked wells soon also. Eventually, the only use for fracking should be in enhanced geothermal systems.
