New Year's resolutions often revolve around weight loss goals or self-improvement plans. A growing trend, however, also involves committing oneself to live a "greener" lifestyle. Regardless of your good intentions each year, it can be hard to stick to

I've been doing this for years....witches really are 'green' in that sense anyway!

Something I am very upset about is the incandescent bulbs being done away with. The new more efficient ones are very costly for a lot of people, I suppose that would be okay since they supposedly save so much more energy and last longer but the nasty toxic waste that is in them eventually go to the landfill where it will do much more damage than the little bit of energy they saved. Furthermore I know people who have purchased these bulbs and they didn't last any near the amount of time they were supposed to. I am very concerned about this toxic waste we keep putting in to landfills and these new bulbs are a recipe for toxic disaster ; (

Organic Vegan diet has the best impact, recycling, refilling our water bottles (not plastic ones) shampoo and hand soap containers (or using bar soaps) reusing straws & as much plastic as possible, consuming fewer electronics and trendy goods, consuming less food, saving water and reducing energy use, signing petitions and writing to the politicians in charge regarding restoration of indigenous habitat, lands, forests, waters, no to GMOs, ending killing of American Bison, Wolf, Bee, Butterfly, etc, using our TAX DOLLARS for the LIVING, not the corporations and military, banning all NUKE and "cides", +++

Let's try and make "green" the old brown. A little effort each day goes a long way. Those of us facing 12+" of snow today have a family fun in the snow day. Shovel. By hand leave the snow blower to rest! Build a snowman. Make snow angels. Make a snow for or igloo. Leave the rock salt where it is. Leave the ice melting chemicals alone. Just have a green "white" day of family fun.
