I do not believe allowing oil and gas exploration in such an area is compatible with Australia's standing as a global whale champion. Allowing it to go ahead would seriously damage Australia's international reputation for marine conservation when there

Noted and signed. All marine mammals are extremely negatively affected by any seismic activity -- often noting it hundreds of miles away. What's the point of permitting testing that will cause problems, unless you've already decided to allow drilling, that will inevitably destroy the entire habitat? Ridiculous!

Gladly signed, however Aussies seem to have their bloody heads up their arses when it comes to protecting all sea creatures! The Australians are culling sharks due too 7 deadly shark attacks in the past 3 years, yet they average 130 deadly car accidents monthly. But banning driving, well of course that is different? They also have over 22,000 car accidents yearly, cannot get number of these accidents being DUI related. But I know for a fact Aussies love to bend the elbow a lot. Prohibition, nah! Shark culling yes. Where the hell has common sense and logical thinking gone? Sad what they are doing to a once beautiful country.

N&S "the Australian government is considering allowing these precious waters to be blasted with deafening noise from seismic airguns, day and night, for months on end."

Whales are so sensitive to those continued loud noises, very stressful for them.

Action completed. They better get back on the right track.....after reading where sharks were discriminately killed because a few swimmers were attacked by sharks whom, by the way, live in the oceans, speaks a lot about this government. Thanks Cher!

Action completed. After reading that sharks were discriminately killed for attacking a few swimmers certainly speaks a lot about this government. They have gone off track so it doesn't surprise me what conservation damage they will continue to do in the future. Thanks Cher!
