And I am supposed to love humans!!!! There is only one type of human I love, that is the one that shows love, kindness, compassion and respect towards animals, as for the rest of them, I cannot even begin to tell you just how much I hate them!! This is absolutely unforgivable - I cannot even begin to imagine the suffering these poor animals had to endure before they died. What despicable, disgusting, rotten and barbaric humans are on this earth! Uuurggghhhh, I am so bloody angry I could run up some mountain and just scream obscenities at these low life sobs.

OMG This is so close to home Detroit is right across from me this is horrible, unimaginable but yet not surprising of Detroit. The stray dog situation has been in the news for sometime as volunteers were trying desperately to catch all the strays to shelter them before the winter. But this is a whole new ball game, this is a deliberate deprived act. I so hope that they catch whoever is responsible and lock them up and throw away the key to their lives. Just another black eye for Detroit SHAME.

Outrages and sickenig that so called humans have so little humanity in them. I am crying. RIP my brothers/sisters you are over the rainbow bridge and embraced by love now

It is nice to see that for every Barbarian who leaves his dog in the park in the winter, there are couple of great people who rescue a few. Those good people deserve a statue in the park, the ones that left their dog to die should get the death penalty!

Detroit is such mess. It is a hotbed of dogfighters and cruelty. What a horrible thing that happened to these dogs. all winter I think of the dogs tied up outside with no shelter and little or no food. I have to fight to no think of them in the night and there are these monsters, also known as people, who fight dogs and then abandon them when they are no longer of use. I do not want to wait for divine intervention to get them-I'd like to get them myself and make the suffer the way they are these dogs suffer. I feel no pride in bing human. There are many good ones but on the whole I think that as a species we suck. What a horrible scene to have come upon.

To the people of Detroit: get it together. What in the hell are you thinking. Become the city you once were. Treat humans and animals in a correct manner. This is disgusting.

Ghastley, Unbelievable Detroit! 28 dogs found dead in a park when the snow starts melting, having been used for dog fighting. Make a strong law against this. At least Plymouth was found alive around the are, and
Gothan was found alive and already has a foster home.
Signed and very sadly noted for these poor dogs. Thanks Cher.

That's terrible. I pray everyday for God to severly punish those that abuse, abandon, intently mame or kill an animal. I hope God heard my prayer and those that did this is in a great deal of hurt. May they rot in hell.

The problem is these people who have these types of dogs are using them for illegal dogfighting and those sort of people are only trying to make money off of betting on illegal dog fighting, these are not compassionate people, they don't give a damn about the dogs, they use them for fighting and use them up and when they are torn up they just leave them to die. Stop illegal dog fighting, close them down, turn them in and punish them to the fullest extent of the law.

For those who think all people in Detroit are bad or treat animals this way they are very wrong. This is about animal abuse and dog fighting. Not everyone who lives in Detroit is like this.

Man's best friend, sorry to see how some people treat them. Our Rottweiler is a member of our family and treated as such. And does he know that, he also knows how to behave inside the house. Naturally he appreciates the heating in winter and the aircon in summer. He is happy and we are happy. We feed him, trained him, care for him and love him to pieces. He repays us with loyalty and unconditional love and affection, not to forget protection. His territory is our home and 'his family' and he will defend it, he is also our doorbell.
How could I ever abandon our dog and I cannot understand people who do that. If you can't look after a dog, don't get one in the first place! Most dogs are acquired for children, they loose interest and the dog gets dumped. I went through this, my daughter lost interest, after a short time it became my dog. I had him for almost 18 years and the Pomeranian died in my arms.

The authorities need to do a lot more to stop dog fighting in Detroit. The human scum responsible for this needs to be hunted down and removed from society. Dog fighting isn't a victimless crime.

I'm so sad that there is still so much dog fighting, not just here but everywhere in the world it seems.
People just don't get any better and I don't think we will ever move forward as a species. We will probably be wiped out first, which is probably a blessed relief. I am heartened to see those doing good for animals, but there just don't seem to be enough, so the burden on those caring individuals is very high indeed.
RIP poor dogs who have suffered so much.

How sad! The Bodies of 28 dogs found in a park because people either used them for fighting, or abandoned them there to starve or dogs whose owners didn't even care enough about them to provide adequate shelter from the harsh winter so that many of them froze to death- a horrible death. This statistic certainly doesn't speak well for people's humanity in fact it sadly, underscores, the inhumanity of many people who would let dogs either be used to fight or to die from their owner's complete lack of caring about their lives and not seeing that these animals' lives are precious and that no one has any business getting a dog if they treat their dog in such a cruel manner!

This is beyond words . The sadness is not just for the dead dogs but humanity itself . The innocent dogs did not deserve to live & die with such careless cruelness but I hope in their death they can help save others by shining a light on this problem not just in Detroit but in the world that dog fighting will not be tolerated & will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If you take away their ability to make money off of these dogs then perhaps they will stop.
