I have saved used batteries to be recycled properly. Recently when I tried to turn them in, I was told the batteries are now made for the trash and not recycling. We need a separate waste bin for just these items that the cities and town can then dispose of property. We "think" in terms of disposal items, we need to think of how those items will become toxic.

We have several ewaste centers in Edmonton, Alberta. Everything is taken apart and used again as far as I was told. Thanks Cher.
