Rachael's family moved, irresponsibly leaving the animals behind to fend for themselves. Little Rachael was able to slip between the barbwired fence and forage for food.

Happy ending. People who left Racheal behind are monsters and should be prosecuted.

I am so glad they are both okay. My daughter's next door neighbour did the same thing only she left a cat behind not a horse but my daughter has taken the cat in.

Noted. My oldest rescued dog on property now was also abandoned by a family during a foreclosure. The poor litter of pups was alone without food in that house for what was guessed to be 6 weeks, and several were already dead. There's no words for people? who care so little as to do that to innocent animals!

Shocking and sad, but this is what the majority of humans do, hence my hatred towards them. So happy they were rescued by kind, loving and compassionate humans.
