Winter was neither abused nor the product of a puppy mill, so her miracle lies in her former family's courage in knowing when to let go.

I am so glad Winter was able to have the surgery she needed. Her family did the right thing.

She too lucky to have a family that had the great power and heart to take the right decision, I'm glad to know that Winter is a happy dog and that she can continue to live her life. Really thanks for sharing Cher

Over the years I have rescued over 50 dogs. In that time, there was one whose medical needs I simply couldn't afford, which I surrendered to the breed rescue in the area because they could, and one who really needed to be the only dog in the home, which I placed with a family that is happy with her to this day. Both times I cried, but we have to do what's best for the animals we are called to protect.

leap of faith. At least they researched their options. We may get to the point when we will have to make hard decisions with human life too. How much chemo to do, how many surgeries to have and when is it time to let go.
Callous people make harsh decisions without considering the pain caused to others- no regrets..just toss aside.

A beautiful beautiful dog - I could not have made that decision though!

I have often thought about that issue along with the fact of deciding when the time comes to let them pass on. Neither are easy decisions.
