Hmmm Quote from the petition...'LGBT youth should be celebrated and loved for who they are'. ....If we all want children to be treated equally, why should ANY be celebrated for being LGBT? All children need to be loved for Who they are, and being homosexual or bi should enter the equation. Noted..Thank you Cher......NOT signed.

I do not live in the US so cannot directly support this. Having said that I urge those that can support it to do so. No one, irrespective of their race/gender/sexuality or ability should face discrimination, everyone has the right to live their lives in peace.

@ Linda Todd --- You're right. ALL children SHOULD be celebrated for who they are. However, that is not the way of the world. LGBT children start far behind other kids and face inordinate amounts of bullying etc. Think of Matthew Shepard who died in 1998 after a severe beating because he was gay.

I am sooo tired of having to sign petitions for what should be basic human rights. Where is the humanity??

Signed after I finally stopped laughing at Linda Todd's Freudian Slip that let her homophobia show. Had a good chuckle at the image of people whom are actually dumb enough to believe that the Senate and House Repugs would actually allow such a thing. You do know that aside from just wanting to block any such bill from reaching a vote, that they will insist on adding a Religious Exemption Amendment poison pill.

MR. PRESIDENT, CONGRESSMEN AND WOMEN, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE PROTECT OUR YOUTH AND OUR CHILDREN FROM DISCRIMINATATION, WEATHER THEY ARE LGBT OR NOT, IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE TO US AS PARENTS IF OUR CHILDREN ARE GAY, LESBIAN, BISEXUAL, OR TRANSGENDER OR TRANSEXUAL, ALL THAT MATTERS IS WE LOVE THEM AND THAT THE LAW PROTECTS THEM FROM DISCRIMINATION
