Canberra Roo Cull Ends With 514 Dead

THE controversial kangaroo cull at a Canberra Department of Defence site has ended with more than 500 of the animals killed. A Department of Defence spokesman said the cull was finished and had been conducted in the most humane way possible.

So sorry! I´m a little frustrated because lots of people fought to help these animals, but men with power do allways what they want.

That's 514 roos who certainly did NOT have to be slaughtered!! What will it take to make these slaughter-happy monsters stop the slaughter??? It's just as senseless as beating Canadian Baby Seals to death with clubs!! What do they do with the bloody fur, ya know what I mean?? The same principal holds true for the roos or any furry animals. I've said it before and I'll say it again; Slaughtering animals brings nothing but horrific pain for them-and us-before their final heartbeat. I wish slaughter houses were NEVER INVENTED!!!!! So true Christina, and I would not be afraid to guess that some of that roo meat has ended up in restaurants including the city of Vancouver.

The only redeeming factor is that the outcry caused by this massacre may prevent further 'culls' being sanctioned in the future. I hope so. I am disgusted that the situation was not dealt with earlier with sterisation and relocation. These animals are fenced in and had no choice. A concentration camp for kangaroos. please never forget these kangaroos.
