Recession is often dubbed as a 'man-made' disaster. Was this the reason that many Indian banks, with better gender equality than their western counterparts, scraped through the economic slowdown unscathed?

I like the way that they talk about a recession in the past tense, with fiat currency collapsing as we speak.

I'm not sure it's an issue of gender, or rather, just thinking outside the financial and societal box.

I notice that these women are not trying to be more mannish then the men, as women in business in the western world often are. What these women brought to their boards, with apparent benefit to their corporations, are their female qualities.
In the Bhagavad Gita, a Hindu scripture, the female qualities are listed as:
fame, prosperity, speech, memory, intellect, firmness and forgiveness.
How well observed! It is a shame that these qualities have been so suppressed and distorted by male domination of women.
