''' great '''

tatataTAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I count this as Cancer-treatment/breakthrough-(announcement) # 1779 (blazoned forth in this millennium) -- and how much was/is really achieved by all those '''breakthrough'''s and (promising)(maybe)'cures' ?

And i, for one, am getting very tired of all the reports/propaganda-blurbs announcing (possible promising) ''breakthrough'' - *treatments*

while the cancer-pandemic keeps spreading, where (currently, approx.) every other [US or EU citizen; one out of two] will be diagnosed with cancer ...

while on the other hand cancer is reported be be mostly (or even ''purely'') man-made:
Proof that Cancer is a Man-Made Disease
man-made "purely" cancer
CANCER recently was reported to be "purely man-made", see
http://www.care2.com/news/member/939310581/2529177
http://www.care2.com/news/member/980998529/2528840
http://www.care2.com/news/member/711434921/2529111
see also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cancer

and while the man-made causes for cancer are still being increased rather that reduced, let alone abolioshed ?

it was us, humans, and only us, who have turned Earth into Cancer Planet

CANCER-EPIDEMIC: " We are now [that was 2003; it's certainly no better, near-certainly worse now] in the midst of a major cancer epidemic and I have no doubt and I have documented the basis for this, that industry is largely responsible for this overwhelming epidemic of cancer, in which one in every two men get cancer in their lifetimes, and 1 in every 3 women get cancer in their lifetimes. " -- Samuel Epstein M.D. in "The Corporation" (2003)

" Cancer treatments by now devour a quarter of the budget for medication although they account for only 2% of prescriptions. " -- Stickwort BAYER 4/2010 (=data for Germoney; probably no better, maybe worse for U$A; my transl., Orig.: " Die Krebsmittel fressen mittlerweile ein Viertel des Arzneimitel-Budgets der Krankenkassen, obwohl sie nur 2 % der Verordnungen ausmachen. ")

=> Cancer is profitable ! First profit in making it, then profit in 'treating' it .... even some profit in researching it (as long as the real major causes remain unmentioned) ...

David, I don' t think cancer is purely man made - maybe some forms but not all of them - because prehistoric and ancient egyptian human remains have been found with signs of cancer in the bones. I agree that pollution and junk diet probably cause more cases of cancer to appear each year but it seems to be a very old disease and has probably afflicted mankind since the very beginning.

It sounds very promising. It would be nice to find out why some of them relapsed, so that they could find an alternative to finally cure all Cancer patients.

Ponder/Meditate/Pray for Peace.

Time will tell, will keep fingers crossed and think positive thoughts.

David -
As Oddball said to Moriarity, "There you go with them negative thoughts again..." From Kelly's Heroes, for those who don't know - Clint Eastwood WWII movie.
