So much for the Arab Spring.... An armed Islamic movement calling itself the "Brigade of Muslims" released a statement on Saturday threatening Egypt's Coptic Christians and asking them to pay jizyah (tribute).

"Egypt is an Islamic country and will be ruled according to Shariah," the statement added.

The movement threatened all Egyptian media professionals who "mock religion and Islamic rule," adding that it has a special list of media professionals and their persistence in mocking will result in the "shedding of their blood in the ugliest way."

The movement explained that it has been established because of the strife being plotted against the country and the plans of enemies of Islam, both at home and abroad.

The movement accused Copts of trying to create a "separate Coptic state," accused the National Salvation Front of involvement in the burning of Egypt, and accused the so-called corrupt media of distorting the image of Muslims and Islamic rule.

The movement noted its approach is jihad, and it would fight the Egyptian army and Interior Ministry if they do not stand up to "Copts and their helpers."

"Let the unbelievers and the hypocrites know we are as keen on dying for the sake of God as they are keen on life," the movement confirmed.

The Western countries should be working on how to protect the very vulnerable Copts instead of letting more and more Muslims immigrate into the West.

Noted, tweeted, shared. It would appear that the Egyptian Revolution was a waste of time. They have just changed masters; and this master is worst than the first.

No surprise here. The Copts, the original Egyptians before the Islamic invasion and occupation, have been demeaned and oppressed for centuries by this religion of peace and tolerance (peace, when you submit to Muslim rule, and tolerance if they allow you to continue to live).

We just posted a related article today that tells of Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood bigotry toward Jews and others: http://www.care2.com/news/member/296771588/3522384

President Morsi said in a pre-election interview he thought was not being recorded that when elected president he wanted to stage another Islamic conquest of Egypt and force the Copts (about 10% of the population) to convert to Islam or leave. Egypt is the ancient homeland of the Copts. The Arab Muslim rulers, occupiers are the interlopers. And the Copts have seen increasing persecution since the so-called 'Arab Spring' as the Muslim Brotherhood has risen to seize control. It won't stop till all non-Muslims are driven out or killed. Where is the outrage from our leaders and media?

This ethnic cleansing of non-Muslims is happening in every Muslim occupied land now as Orthodox Islam continues to grow, with the dirty hand of our enemies Saudi Arabia and Qatar spending billions in oil revenues to fund the global war against infidels, the building of mosques and the silencing of all criticism of the ugly actions and statements of Islamists around the world. Incredible!

You KNOW that if some non-Muslim country treated Muslims like Muslims treat non-Muslims in the countries they dominate, that the western media and leaders would be apoplectic in their condemnation on behalf of the poor Muslim victims. Why don't they care about Muslim atrocities and hate?

These people are only following the orders of Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood who incidentally President Obama thinks are all fine and dandy. He must do; otherwise why would he be arming Morsi's government with tanks and F16s? In the meantime the MB and its police are practicing murder and mayhem on the general population with 45 (and rising) people bumped off recently.

Copts were in Egypt before Islamists. It's sad that everwhere we go native or ethnic minorities are persecuted...

It's not enough that they have already murdered, crucified and raped many of them already is it? Let's call the Jizyah what is - Extortion at the point of a gun. Were it done in Europe or here in North America it would be considered as racketeering and fall under the OC RICO acts. Can you imagine if we asked all the Muslims in North America to pay a religious tax? LOL

Anywhere where 'Sharia' is even mentioned is a dangerous place to be. We need to crush this problem before it spreads. It's already gone too far by penetrating the West, but people need to wake up to this problem before it is staring them in the face. There is no room for being politically correct when it comes to Sharia, these barbarians mean business and will force it upon anyone that is unfortunate enough to be living near them, even when they are in Western lands.

""Let the unbelievers and the hypocrites know we are as keen on dying for the sake of God as they are keen on life," the movement confirmed."

There will be no true peace on this earth while the religion of peace tramples and kills all who are not murderous louts such as they. There will be a day of reckoning alright, but it will not be as they expect. They are the greatest danger the world has seen since Hitler. Eventually, they'll be dealt with in the same way. The first part will be true, they will be gone, and so will the second, the rest of us us won't be. They can have it their way in this instance. Harbingers of hatred that they are. I don't even think they have the right to call themselves a religion, a pariah amongst nations, yes, but not a religion, they are simply hate-filled men bound on having their way as did their comrade, Adolph. They'll meet the same end one day. There are too many of the rest of us for them to prevail. Every day they make clearer how dangerous they are to all people and that is a good thing, this world needs a wake up call when it comes to these murderous fools.

I for one would gladly help them to die...where do I press the button?
