We all want to know what the pedophiles, kidnappers and other criminals look like who are wanted by the FBI. But if it comes to the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist list and they're Muslim, then forget it. CAIR doesn't want you to know. "Too Offensive"

I don't know about you, but I'd like to know if there was a terrorist that I could recognize and report to the FBI. Well sorry, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is offended and doesn't want you to know, because they all happen to be Islamic Terrorists.

The following is an amalgam from two different articles (the first one from Tommy S., thank you Tommy).

FBI's Most-Wanted Ads Blocked by Muslim Brotherhood Group

'Most Wanted' ads help the FBI gain information about the whereabouts of dangerous terrorists. CAIR and its allies got the ads taken down.

The U.S. government has long offered rewards for its most wanted terrorists as a way of incentivizing people to be on the lookout. Its success obviously relies upon widespread knowledge of the award and what the terrorists look like.

For the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity, the fact that Americans would become aware that majority of the most-wanted terrorists are Islamic extremists compelled it to take action. As usual, CAIR cried “Islamophobia,” deployed its interfaith partners and was successful in having the most-wanted terrorist ads taken down.

The U.S. government posted ads on buses in Seattle that said, “Faces of Global Terrorism.” Their purpose was to notify citizens that up to $25 million could be earned for information leading to the neutralization of 16 top terrorists. OnIslam.net explains that 7 of the terrorists are from Africa, 4 from the Philippines, 3 from the U.S., 1 from Malaysia and 1 from Chechnya.

CAIR, noticing that these 16 terrorists are Muslims, said the ads were offensive and claimed that it promotes Islamophobia. The director of CAIR’s branch in Washington state, Arsalan Bukhari, took action and rallied his non-Muslim allies.

Bukhari and CAIR teamed up with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) chapter in their state. As the Clarion Project has reported, this is not the first time the ACLU has allied with CAIR and other U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entities. The director of the ACLU’s Center for Democracy spoke at a CAIR fundraiser and the organization has come to the defense of CAIR, despite its connection to the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn and Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA) also got involved. McGinn’s press release credits CAIR and the ACLU, as well as the Minority Executive Directors Coalition, Mothers for Police Accountability, the Seattle Human Rights Commission, the Asian Counseling and Referral Service and the Faith Action Network, among others in the successful campaign to thwart the ads.

Another member of the bloc against the government’s ads is the Northwest Washington Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, the largest Lutheran denomination in the country. The Church is a member of the Shoulder-to-Shoulder Campaign, an interfaith coalition that includes the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), CAIR’s fellow Brotherhood entity. The coalition was ISNA’s top bragging point when it met with Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan in May.

The pressure worked. FBI Special Agent Fred Gutt said the ads were taken down as “a result of our continued engagement with the community and the feedback we are getting.”

Yet again, CAIR succeeded by portraying itself as the voice of the Muslim-American community.

Its moderate Muslim opponents, like Dr. Zuhdi Jasser of the American-Islamic Forum on Democracy, are sidelined. Jasser supports the ads and says that "When the FBI puts up pictures of individuals that happen to be on the list, those photos need to come out and those are the most recent." Jasser added,

"I'm trying to figure out how the FBI does its work and somehow also has to be concerned about political correctness."

Characterizing the FBI as biased against Muslims is an old exercise for Bukhari and CAIR. In December 2009, it was reported that he advised Muslims not to talk to the FBI. “There’s nothing to gain from talking to law enforcement,” he said to a Somali audience at a mosque. The reason he cited was Islamophobia. “There are too many things happening to Muslims recently,” he said.

According to a former U.S. Muslim Brotherhood front member, Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, it was decided at a private meeting that the term “Islamophobia” should be used to silence opponents to the Muslim Brotherhood's agenda.

“This loathsome term is nothing more than a thought terminating cliché conceived in the bowels of Muslim think tanks for the purpose of beating down critics,” he says.

Dr. Jasser, a Muslim who is vocal about the abuses that taken place in the name of combating Islamophobia, framed the latest controversy as part of an overall ideological struggle.

“If you do not identify Islamism, you will be asleep to the world’s greatest threat in the 21st century,” he warned. (http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/%E2%80%8Bfbis-most-wanted-ads-blocked-muslim-brotherhood-group/#fm)

Also, the video at the site comes from http://www.amren.com/news/2013/06/offensive-to-muslims-dem-congressman-calls-on-fbi-to-take-down-photos-of-terrorists/

Always-unfiltered Rep. Jim McDermott penned a letter to FBI Director Robert Mueller Wednesday claiming a Joint Terrorism Task Force ‘Faces of Global Terrorism’ ad is racist.

McDermott, a Democrat from Washington state, voiced his “deep concern” about the ad, which shows mug shots of international terrorists, and asked the FBI chief to “reconsider publicizing” it.

According to McDermott, the “ad featuring sixteen photos of wanted terrorists is not only offensive to Muslims and ethnic minorities, but it encourages racial and religious profiling.”

McDermott continued, “Representing terrorists, however, from only one ethnic or religious group, promotes stereotypes and ignores other forms of extremism. The FBI’s ‘Most Wanted Terrorists List‘ includes individuals of other races and associated with other religions and causes, but their faces are missing from this campaign.”

McDermott’s point is that two of the people on the FBI’s thirty-two person ‘Most Wanted Terrorists List’ do not have connections to Islam.

McDermott concluded that the “bus ad will likely only serve to exacerbate the disturbing trend of hate crimes against Middle Eastern, South Asian, and Muslim-Americans.”

OUTRAGEOUS!

So CAIR gets to decide if we see the faces of the FBI's most wanted terrorists!!!

I keep hearing about CAIR calling the shots. It is a sinister Jihad agency masquerading as a civil rights organization.

It is incredible how much power it has amassed! It can even thwart the FBI!

These people have to be taken to task, exposed and stopped.

Have people really become so tame, passive, and stupid that they will not even defend themselves? Have they become so terrified of being called a "racist" that any atrocity committed by a protected group is just fine with them?

What is going on in America and Canada? Radical islamists are winning the propaganda war,using democratic rights to dilute the powers of local and national governments and associations who are trying to protect their citizens.This war is by stealth, and the battle will be lost if the ordinary people do not stand up and cry enough.
Has 9/11 already been forgotten?

“Islamophobia,” - I think the FBI needs a new PR manager. putting signs like that on buses, is not a very bright idea. - on the inside of buses where you have a chance to commit some it to mind

Have commented on this elsewhere too. i don't know why THIS one religion gets such special treatment. Why is there no Council on Lutheran American Relations or Baptist or Catholic? Why does this one get to tell our secular government what it may and may not do? These sob's are terrorists and those pictures should be on the wall of every law enforcement building, post office and any dang place else we want to put them - in the name of national security. CAIR does not trump national security and whomever made this decision should be effing fired. The safety of the American people comes before CAIR's tender insensibilities...

Yes i agree the muslims in UK are treated softly softly with kid gloves We might send the wrong message and upset them and be rascist Anyone else would get the heavy hand last year the muslims were allowed a protest march with banners saying behead the infidels and burning an American flag. Last week Tommy Robinson from the EDL got arrested soon as he started the protest March in Woolwich where the soldier got hacked to death
makes sense no it does nt except to me the English are now lacking back bone and are actually becoming frightened of what these people say Why ! i do not know we do not owe them anything

I have been reading about the benefits and leeway people have been giving the terrorist for over 5 years now. We even have 4 or 5 in our government as CZARS, Why. How much will the world take from these people before there is a new Crusade. How many Crusades have there been In the past? A dozen, or two dozen.

If the photos on the bus are the most wanted terrorist by the FBI then it is what it is. They are the most wanted terrorist by the FBI. I hope the campaign assists in the capture them all. I don't care what happens to any of them - they're a bunch of crazy radical looney pricks and I'm sick to death of them.

I believe I understand CAIR to be a organization that supports the 'good' peace, God abiding Muslims in the World. So that means it should not offend CAIR or other muslims when other organizations are posting notices looking for terrorists. The character of being terrorists do not meet that same peace, love & honor to God mindset.. The terrorists motive to kill in the name of God or to just kill out of hatred, power, however they program that will in their mind to do is not peace & surely not good.
I believe the FBI is doing the right thing. People all around the World need to be on alert & noticing those who pose threats to the World of people who embrace peace, love, freedoms and harmony in a ever changing World.

It's probably all connected to oil. These people mostly come from OPEC countries, don't they? and the US does not want to upset any of them. Another good reason to move to green energy production and shake the dust off our shoes at OPEC. This has all gotten really ridiculous.

Why are Muslim's being exempted all over the world from the laws of the nations they have immigrated to. No one asked them to move to their country so if they decide to immigrate then they should follow the laws of the country they decide to inhabit. I speak as the child of immigrations who insisted that I grow up as a proper American speaking & writing proper English.

The poster SHOULD be offensive to Muslims! I would like to know exactly what CAIR and other Muslim groups are doing to counter extremism in the Muslim world. It seems to me that they would be better served actually fighting extremism and doing something visibly noticeable to counter these extremist factions instead of whining that a factual poster is making them look bad.

This kid-glove exempting of all that's Islamic is becoming rather universal, I'm afraid. The trouble is that those who oppose it, often do it very loudly and abrasively and it mostly stem from extreme rightist groups who put all Muslims in one bunch. Which is unfair to most Muslims and usually results in more special treatment etc. etc..

Then again, it is strange that almost all who are from outside the US are called terrorists and those from within criminals. And if they terrorise an other nation and not the US, say in Africa, they're not on the list either. Narrows it down a bit, I'd say.

Patricia G.,

"I believe I understand CAIR to be a organization that supports the 'good' peace, God abiding Muslims in the World."

Patricia, CAIR has worked very, very hard and cleverly to convince open-minded people like you that this is what they are about. They bill themselves as a civil rights group to protect Muslims, but their own stated aim that was found in their own confiscated literature says that it plans to use Stealth Jihad to destroy Western civilization's miserable house from within. That is exactly what its goal is, and it has enormous resources and means to so far effectively convince far too many people otherwise.

CAIR *IS* the Muslim Brotherhood's foremost front organization in the U.S. and has a list of other supposedly "moderate" Muslim groups, also all part of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood umbrella.

Have you seen the 20+ Million Egyptians protesting and calling for an end to the Muslim Brotherhood government that has lied, manipulated, cheated, tortured people all for Islam's aims? That is the Muslim Brotherhood, Egyptians or CAIR, both have as their ends to put the entire globe under the control of Islam, and so far while it finds it effective, it is using largely Stealth Jihad means of doing it, until the day comes when the MB feels that right time for violent Jihad is right in the U.S.

What does Stealth Jihad mean? It means using all sorts of vehicles at its disposal to further its end under the guise of civil rights. For example, it copiously uses litigation, including intimidation that causes elite universities, politicians, the media, and others to self-censor against saying anything honest and negative about Islam, as well as influence-buying, portraying themselves as victims when they are actually the victimizers, and a host of other deceptive methods to advance its ends.

The Muslim Brotherhood's Motto is:

"Allah is our objective.
The Prophet is our leader.
The Qur'an is our law.
Jihad is our way.
Dying in the way of Allah is our highest aspiration."

CAIR, as part of the Muslim Brotherhood, stands diametrically opposed to the values of human-, women’s rights, democracy, freedom, free speech, and all of those wonderful blessings that we have in this country. Our values are anathema to the Muslim Brotherhood, and to Islam itself. But CAIR’s slick lawyers are highly adept at knowing how to manipulate public opinion and use our own good will against us.

(The really frightening thing is that CAIR/Muslim Brotherhood has been documented to have infiltrated our government at almost every level.)

While there are many websites and books that document CAIR’s and the MB’s duplicity, you might want to start with one or two that describe it rather well. If you’d like to explore further, you are welcome to get in touch with me, and I can give you other resources.

As a very long life atheist I don't give a damn what religion a terrorist embraces. If they are a terrorist then the religion is irrelevant, from Timothy McVeigh to any Taliban follower. regardless of their religious motivation they are still Terrorists.

I can understand how you feel, Tom. Interestingly, Timothy McVeigh was a self-proclaimed atheist who said that "Science" was his "god".

Additionally, McVeigh is believed to have contact with and the cooperation of Islamic terrorists.

In the vast majority of terrorism cases, political and ideological Islam is the motivating factor.

I do not understand how the rest of my submission was cut,out. It follows. If they are foreigners then they should be deported, if they are not, then charged for inciting crime,and pay the penalty of their own crime.

As I read McVeigh Beth. I understood he belonged to a group who were right wing extremists with a strong religious(Christian) background. Any claims he made for being of no faith was though to be an attempt to divert attention away from his brothers in ideological madness. Thanks just the same for your personal approval whilst I find it amusing that anyone would claim "Science" as being their God. Gods, generally claiming to be infallible, Science, so very often, being far from it.

Tom,

He did say science was his god/religion, even though you and I may know that science is fallible and theories change and are revised, e.g., the cause of the extinction of the dinosaurs. The biographical material on him says that he fell away from religion, that he was bullied as a child (a very common theme for mass murderers in the U.S.). His anger was focused on the Federal government at the perception that individuals' and groups' rights were being undercut by the Feds. The groups he associated with had the same general focus.

While he did summons a priest right before his death, that is not all that unusual for atheists and agnostics. My grandfather was a staunch atheist and yet wanted to pray for forgiveness shortly before he died.

Sometimes, in spite of many atheists' and agnostics' high intelligence, coming to grips with their imminent end of life can cause even the most unapologetic to cash in on the spiritual life/death God policy. What do they have to lose?

Phyllis P.,

"I am sick to death of us tip toeing around these bastards."

As you should be! I wish more were like you. We need to stop tip toeing around CAIR and hold it responsible and answerable for the deliberate and frequent attempts to undermine our rights and freedoms as well as this entire country.

People need to learn about CAIR, how they operate, who they have in their pockets, and how to fight them back in court. This has been done successfully several times by the AFDI and perhaps other groups as well. CAIR's reach has enabled it to even change the language in a number of security and law agencies' training manuals, so that all references to Islam + terrorism have been eliminated.

When one doesn't know who they are fighting and can't name the enemy, one is bound to lose.

Carmen, Our US Constitution says there SHALL be no other legal system other than what is given by the US Constitution, yet under President Obama and DOJ we have allow Sharia Law into at least three court rooms inside our United states. I remember the one where the Muslim judge told the husband it was okay to beat his misbehaving wife when they got home. What level of society have we started to fall too.

We need to turn the clock back and get some constitutional government working once again to salvage the mess we are in today.

i can harldy wait and see what obama is going to do for his muslim brotherhood buddy that's now booted out a pres of egypt. he sure dumped us in a mess there. the muslim brotherhood had been on the fbi watch list forever but obama stands up and give the support of our nation to them.

Not all Muslims are terrorists. Just like, not all terrorists are Muslim. Think of Timothy McVeigh. Of course, he was executed. This sign is kind of like racial profiling. Like, not all Mexicans come to the US illegally, Not all Blacks wearing baggy clothes and hooded sweatshirts are carrying weapons. The convenience store where I buy gas for my car is staffed by Muslims, for the most part. They are very nice people and often will give me things free of charge.

Beth S. to be blunt you are a lying Islamophobe. The request to the FBI originated with CAIR or the ACLU. The complaint about the ad originated with a large number of different ethnic and religious groups in the Seattle, WA complaining the their US Representative ( D-WA) Jim McDermott who complained to the FBI that their ad 'gives the impression that terrorism only comes from one religion or one color of people and increases the risk of hate crimes against Middle Eastern, South Asian and Muslim Americans' and the FBI agreed with him and pulled the ads. I know as I live in Tacoma, WA and watched each and every press conference in real time on the local news. Fact there was never any mention of CAIR or the ACLU or your preferred Boggy Man of the Muslim Brotherhood. Let's be honest you and your ilk have alredy proven to be so ignorant that in NYC Islamophobes were attacking Sikhs because they were to damn ignorant to even know that Sikhs have nothing to do with Islam at all but are a distinct religion unto themselves. The report you link to makes no mention of McDermott or of Seattle Mayor McGinn both of whom are white Christians with no ties to your "Boggy Man Muslim Brotherhood".

TO LLOYD H. -- If someone called me a lying Islam phobic I would be extremely angry. In the past, I have given much to try to help the cause of NOT stereotyping BUT it continue to get harder and harder. There should be mass showings of Muslims who despise murderers. But only a handful have come forward.
And, most of us were not prejudice until the Imam keeps INSISTING that his great bridge building in the ground zero area WILL take place. I have read enough of the Koran, listened to enough security people and seen enough videos of Muslims taking over in Europe that I just don't care much about them. If they cannot be a brave American and stand up against murder then why should I care. ---Careful what you wish for.

Donna:

Yes but the vast majority of terrorists ARE Muslim, and Timothy McVeigh’s name has been dragged out of the mothballs so many times to support the Muslims aren’t all terrorists cliché, and his act was committed in 1995.

Who here is saying that ALL Muslims are terrorists or anything like that? What RACE are Muslims? This is the kind of crap that CAIR hopes people buy into that people who have valid objections to it and Islam are “racists.” It’s a way of shutting down honest discussion and shaming people.

Islam commands Muslims not to be friends with Christians and Jews, but to smile and be friendly to them while hating them in their hearts. This is exactly what CAIR does and you got sucked into their propaganda. The M.O. of Islam is when they’re weak in number and military strength, to pretend to be nice, until the game and demographics change and the violence bubbles to the top and over.

This hatred and violence has been going on all across the Muslim world where there are daily murders of large numbers of Christians, but its underreported in the big name media. Muslims are killing Buddhists, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Jews, Bahais, Sikhs and others. Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims are and have been killing each other in the hundreds of thousands in the past few years. They both consider each consider infidels. It’s happening in Syria, Iran, Pakistan and other Muslim countries.

Do you ever read the paper after some mass murderer has let loose and the reporters interview the mass murderer’s neighbors? Most of the time the neighbors say oh he was such a nice, quiet guy, kept to himself, smiled at us, we can’t believe that he would murder so many people.

It doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

Lloyd,

Your remarks remind me of an article I read several years ago which talked about the fact that Carroll O’Connor was so good at acting and portraying the racist Archie Bunker character, that many people who met O’Connor were unable to separate the character from the actor, who in reality was not a racist at all.

In a not dissimilar vein, I find myself chuckling when people accuse me of “lying” because I post articles authored by other people. The two articles that you are referring to were not authored by me, and one of them had already been posted to Care2 by someone else (“FBI's Most-Wanted Ads Blocked By Muslim Brotherhood Group, http://www.clarionproject.org/analysis/%E2%80%8Bfbis-most-wanted-ads-blocked-muslim-brotherhood-group/#fm, written by Ryan Mauro). So if you take issue with that article, you might want to register your disagreement with its author. I will say that I do believe that the whole episode very much bears the imprimatur of CAIR.

A note on the term “Islamophobe/Islamophobia”. There actually is no such thing. A phobia is an “irrational” fear, and anyone who has studied Islam, Sharia, etc., and does not agree with its tenets will certainly have a very rational and healthy fear of Islam. Some have described Islamophobia/Islamophobe as (which I quote below):

- “A non-Muslim who knows more than they are supposed to know about Islam.

- The word "Islamophobia" literally means an irrational fear of Islam, but since Allah himself "throws terror into the hearts of disbelievers" (Quran 8:12) it is used more often in reference to the rejection of Islam.

- In Muhammad's day, rejection was treated with a practice known as "beheading" (which naturally resulted in more fear). Since this is now impractical outside of the Muslim world, the condition of Islamophobia is best addressed by means of prevention. Such preventive measures include willful ignorance (best assisted with a strong dose of taqiyya).

- The term ‘Islamophobia’ as it is currently used is merely a political tool to shut people up.

- This article will argue that if the world ‘phobia’ is to be used in combination with Islam then it is more appropriate for describing the people who currently wield the term rather than those who are victimised by such people. Islamophobia therefore then defined as ‘the irrational fear of questioning Islam’.

- An explanation for this illogical term and its baffling usage can be found by looking at its origins. According to journalist and author Claire Berlinski the term “Islamophobia” was in fact specifically invented by a Muslim Brotherhood front organization(5). It was developed to snuff out rational debate, to belittle reasonable concerns, and to impose the sharia prohibition against criticism of Islam onto non-Muslim societies. It was thus set up as an effective tool to assist Islamic proselytization at the expense of other values and belief systems."

"slamophobes include:

Hindus, Christians, and Jews who don’t want to be forced into a political system that treats them as third-class citizens. (Islamic teaching)

Atheists who want the freedom to live openly and challenge religious orthodoxy in the public spherre. (Islamic teaching)

Secularists who belief in the separation of government and religion. (Islamic teaching)

Regarding your bloviating about “Let's be honest you and your ilk have alredy proven to be so ignorant that in NYC Islamophobes were attacking Sikhs because they were to damn ignorant to even know that Sikhs have nothing to do with Islam at all but are a distinct religion unto themselves.”

Actually, most people who are well-read enough to understand what Islam is and isn’t are also knowledgeable to know that Sikhs are a distinct religion. Further, the mainstream media reported that the woman, Erika Menendez, who attacked that poor Sikh man, was mentally ill.

Two months prior, Menendez was accused of hitting and scratching a man in Queens. The woman has repeatedly been institutionalized for mental health problems and was discharged from Bellevue Hospital Center earlier this year. The woman was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and never received any jail time.

Did you happen to miss that in the news, or is it too inconvenient and inconsistent with your intentions of smearing anyone who dares to call a spade a spade.

You said, “….to your "Boggy [sic] Man Muslim Brotherhood".

I would say that this statement puts you on the wrong side of over 30,000,000 Egyptians who have had to live under the very real oppression, torture, rape, incompetence and predations of the Muslim Brotherhood and found them totally unacceptable, and as a result rose up to demand that the MB no longer rule over the country, which by the way, is the home to the Muslim Brotherhood’s founder, Hassan al-Bana.

Is it offensive to the Islamic world, because it's too near to the truth? Tough. Don't care whether pedophiles, kidnappers and other criminals are Islamic or any other supposed faith or creed... they deserve exposure...

Although those who harbour anti-Muslim bigotry attempt to portray CAIR as a terrorist organization, Patricia G. is quite right in her post. The level of inflammatory rhetoric and virulent intolerance demonstrated on this post is astounding. To be frank, it reminds me of a KKK website.

The uproar over these ads posted on buses was not because it featured terrorists who were Islamic, but the disproportionate representation of one group who follow Islam with the exclusion of others. It implies that "Muslims are the face of global terrorism".

This is not only an inaccurate, but dishonest portrait of terrorists.

"Of the more than 300 American deaths from political violence and mass shootings since 9/11, only 33 have come at the hands of Muslim-Americans, according to the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security. The Muslim-American suspects or perpetrators in these or other attempted attacks fit no demographic profile—only 51 of more than 200 are of Arabic ethnicity. In 2012, all but one of the nine Muslim-American terrorism plots uncovered were halted in early stages. That one, an attempted bombing of a Social Security office in Arizona, caused no casualties." [U.S. News and World Report , February 2013]

"Since 9/11, [Charles Kurzman, Professor of Sociology at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, writing for the Triangle Center on Terrorism and National Security] and his team tallies, 33 Americans have died as a result of terrorism launched by their Muslim neighbors. During that period, 180,000 Americans were murdered for reasons unrelated to terrorism. In just the past year, the mass shootings that have captivated America’s attention killed 66 Americans, “twice as many fatalities as from Muslim-American terrorism in all 11 years since 9/11,” notes Kurzman’s team.

Law enforcement, including “informants and undercover agents,” were involved in “almost all of the Muslim-American terrorism plots uncovered in 2012,” the Triangle team finds. That’s in keeping with the FBI’s recent practice of using undercover or double agents to encourage would-be terrorists to act on their violent desires and arresting them when they do — a practice critics say comes perilously close to entrapment. A difference in 2012 observed by Triangle: with the exception of the Arizona attack, all the alleged plots involving U.S. Muslims were “discovered and disrupted at an early stage,” while in the past three years, law enforcement often observed the incubating terror initiatives “after weapons or explosives had already been gathered." [Wired Magazine, February 2013]

From 9/11 through January 2011, there were 80 terror attacks or attempts on American soil. Here is the breakdown.

right-wing extremist and white supremacist attacks plots alone outnumber plots by Muslims, with both groups being involved in 63 terror plots, 18 more plots than Muslim Americans have been involved in. Here is a breakdown of attacks by group, along with a few examples of plots by some of these groups:

Anti-Government/Anti-Tax Extremists: There have been 36 plots by right-wing extremists since 9/11. These attacks include Joseph Stack’s suicide attack on a Texas IRS building and Joshua Cartwright, who became enraged after the election of Barack Obama and “believed that the US Government was conspiring against him.”

KKK/NeoNazi/White Supremacist: There have been 27 plots by white supremacists since 9/11. These attacks include a 2004 letter bombing of the Arizona Office of Diversity and Dialogue that injured three employees.

Unknown/Miscellaneous: There were five attacks that federal crime officials did not categorize.

Christian Extremists/Anti-Abortion: There were three attacks by anti-abortion extremists and Christian extremists. The killing of abortion provider George Tiller is the most prominent of these attacks.

Black Supremacist Cults: There were two plots by black supremacist cults.

Jewish Extremists: There were two plots by Jewish extremists. The most prominent of these was a plot by Robert Goldstein to attack a local Islamic center with home made C4 and other explosives.

Extreme Anti-Immigrant: There were two plots by anti-immigrant extremists. One of these was the attack by Shawn Forde, who murdered a Queens deli clerk and was motivated by racist and anti-immigrant feelings.

Anti-Jewish: There was one plot by an anti-Semitic extremist. Norman Leboon made anti-Semitic threats against Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA).

Anarchist: There was a single plot by an anarchist. Joseph D. Konopka “wreaked havoc in 13 counties by setting fires, disrupting radio and television broadcasts, disabling an air traffic control system, selling counterfeit software, and damaging the computer system of an Internet service provider.” [Zaid Jilani , "As King Targets Muslims, There Have Been Almost Twice As Many Plots Since 9/11 From Non-Muslim Terrorists", Think Progress, Mar 9, 2011]

I think that it is wise to have discussions about terrorism, yet they need to be honest conversations, based on fact, not fiction. All this does is further create a divide, rather than uniting people.

Oh, Lily.......Yes, I spent a good portion of my life trying to do what you are doing. Defending the down-trodden can be exhausting. On an online blog from our local newspaper, I tried your "discussions" tactic. The Muslims involved were bantering back and forth. The blog totally went silent the moment I suggested that we meet for coffee to try to "build on their precious bridges." Silence. Nothing. When it means to exert oneself, the discussion ends. I hate to beat a dead horse but this will lead you only to loss of energy. I am beginning to think that this is not a religion but a "nation."
I wish I felt different. I wish they hadn't changed my country. I wish I could get my love of mankind back. I am glad I'm old but not old enough. I'm afraid that my eyes will see more horror. "I have seen too much."

Well Michaela, I know many Muslims, none of whom are anything but kind, compassionate and decent people. In fact, most of the people I work with follow Islam. I have coffee, socialize with them and eat lunch with them. Perhaps the silence has a little more to do with you than with them? Just asking. I don't suggest anything other than discuss what comes up in discussion. I don't try to study them as you apparently attempt to do. I don't see them as a project, I see them as my friends. This isn't saving the downtrodden, this is speaking out against bigotry.

In addition, I am not defending any religion, nor any group. What i am speaking out against is that this type of posting . IT IS A DISPROPORTIONATE DEMOGRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF THE FACE OF TERRORISM. How about some white faces up there? According to the FBI, the greatest terrorist threats come from right wing radicals. In addition, the ads seem to feature 100% of terrorists shown as one group which is nowhere near 100%, nor even 50% of the people who perpetuate terrorism.

Please don't suggest what I should expend my energy on. It is offensive, especially from someone who seems to harbour bigotry. You remind of me of people who make idiotic statements, such as "a Muslim person lives on my street" or "I have black friends". If you have to use this tactic to defend your point of view, you are more bigoted than you realize.

Maybe if there wasn't so many Muslim fanatics around the world, they wouldn't be on wanted posters. These people are insane and should not be treated as human beings. They all want to be treated as martyrs and should be treated accordingly. Put them all in the ground where they belong and let the civilized people live in peace. But just remember, not all Muslims are religious nuts. Just like everyone else, we can't all be judged by the insane actions of the few.

Michaela: Again, you have now signed off for the thrid time, but again, here you are. I am classically trained Michaela, so I think I would know what Beethoven is. You can certainly tell someone who isn't classically trained, they put Beethoven out there on the front burner (because usually they don't know much beyond that). To actually attempt to claim cultural superiority over other people, ranks right up there with the buying the biggest house on the block even though you can't afford it, to...let's speak plainly...put on airs.

Actually, you are the one who is speaking of nothing. I expressed my criticism on a bigoted ad campaign, which unfairly disproportionately represents one specific group of a demographic population marginalizing same said population. You on the other hand brought in your Pakastani fremenies (maybe you had much to much advice for them - from what I can see here, it seems to be something you enjoy) and the insult you suffered by people you only know via a public forum to their refusal or disregard of your offer to go for coffee (maybe they just didn't like you or maybe they are wary of people they meet online). You then use your limited personal experience of an online public forum and the slight you suffered from the Pakastani couple to forge your view on Muslims and your support for outright bigotry demonstrated in the ad campaign which is the whole point of the story. How about we put up a whole poster of Jewish Wall Street guys and say "cause of the global financial meltdown". That, my dear, would be racist, antisemitic and would cause an uproar.

Here you are dismissing facts ("Of the more than 300 American deaths from political violence and mass shootings since 9/11, only 33 have come at the hands of Muslim-Americans, according to the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security") in lieu of your own personal bigoted viewpoint that won't change no matter what the true picture is.

Obviously I have to ask you Alan. Do you have a reading comprehension problem? There are more fanatics that are non Muslim than those that are. FBI stats and the EU Global Terrorist Report confirm this. So when you intentionally misrepresent something in order to demonize a demographic population, it is sheer bigotry. No much different than the bigotry demonstrated to the Jewish people pre-WW II. To then qualify as an afterthought, "but just remember, not all Muslims are religious nuts" does nothing to help your case. Sure there are radicalized Islamic terrorists, but there are more of non Muslim terrorists. In fact, from 1980 - 2005, there were more terrorists acts or foiled terrorist plots by Jews on American soil than there were borne of Muslim followers.

Lily T.,

Thanks for offering some data. Sometimes issues seem more complicated than they at first seem, but other data can add some more perspective. This and related issues are important to be discussed.

There is a magazine by Al Qaeda, very slick, called, "Inspire" (violent Jihad) and that it does. This is an issue deserving of open debate. Let me just add, that in terms of Jihad, virtually the most important aspect of Islamic ideology -- and that is my issue -- not whether individual Muslims are nice people or not, and I know some that are very nice. The thread running through my concerns is Islam as a supremacist, totalitarian political ideology.

CAIR is a very slick, multi-pronged Jihadist outfit of the Muslim Brotherhood with tentacles reaching into virtually every level of society, and as such, deserves a lot more attention and discussion. Jihad is not necessarily synonymous with terrorism. Jihad has multiple venues, many of which do not involve physical violence at all. Some of the forms of Jihad are litigation (Lawfare), forest fire jihad, falsify textbooks jihad, and the list goes on and on. Violent Islamic supremacists may, in fact, be the least of our problems.

"Contrarian perspectives

It is not, however, a position universally accepted by tested jihadi trackers.

In the meantime, the worst post-9/11 jihad-inspired attack took place at the Boston Marathon in April by suspected jihadi-radicalized Muslims in a plot that as of this writing appeared to have included more than just the two brothers from Chechnya initially believed to have singularly carried out the attack. An attack that quickly was followed by the disruption of an Al Qaeda/Iranian-linked terror plot targeting both Canada and the US and the arrest of a young Muslim man from Illinois at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago for allegedly planning to travel to join an Al Qaeda group fighting in Syria. Meanwhile, Spanish law enforcement authorities arrested suspects linked to Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

“These are indisputable indications that Islamic jihadists are still out there planning what [clearly] include spectacular mass casualty attacks [on US soil],” said a weathered counterterrorism official.

Nevertheless, the Obama administration has consistently downplayed the threat posed by Al Qaeda and its ideological kin. During his State of the Union address, Obama asserted Al Qaeda is merely a "shadow of its former self" and no longer poses the kind of threat to the American homeland that it once did.

The President further stated that the need for significant numbers of US troops to combat jihadists abroad -- especially in Afghanistan -- are no longer needed because the international terrorist organization’s infrastructure and influence has been sufficiently ruined.

“The events in April say otherwise,” bluntly observed a senior counterterrorism authority.

While many of Al Qaeda’s veteran leadership have indeed been killed or captured, and the group’s international operational capabilities impaired, boots-on-the-ground counterterrorism operatives and veteran analysts are unwilling to definitively state Al Qaeda no longer poses a significant threat to the West, especially the United States.

The Pentagon openly admitted in Feb. that the ranks of the Al Qaeda-tied Taliban in Afghanistan, for example, are growing, not declining. Authorities estimated that Al Qaeda and Affiliated Movements (AQIM) are active in more than 30 countries on four continents -- representing a more far-flung geographical entrenchment than before 9/11.

Obama himself has conceded that Al Qaeda affiliates and ideologically-inspired jihadists have emerged in recent years.

Marc Champion, a member of Bloomberg View's editorial board, stated following Obama’s State of the Union address that “the militant Islamism that [Al Qaeda] represents shows such obvious regenerative and mutational qualities that it probably isn't smart to take its degradation as a measure of victory.”

“Make no mistake -- Al Qaeda may be dazed and diminished, perhaps even underfinanced, but it is not dead,” stressed MacDonnell Ulsch, CEO and Chief Analyst of Boston-based ZeroPoint Risk Research, LLC.

“What Al Qaeda has lost in profound direct frontal assault capability, it has made up for in creativity, stealth and resiliency,” said Ulsch, who actively serves on the advisory boards of ObServitus, iDEFENSE, Heroix Security and the National Security Institute where he works with military and intelligence agencies. In 1996-97, he served as a trusted advisor on Internet Security and emerging threats to the United States Secrecy Commission. Among Ulsch's specializations are cyber counterterrorism strategy, risk assessment and counter-measures.

“It would be a mistake, and a misrepresentation, to interpret Al Qaeda’s simmering low-intensity presence to be a sign of diminished capacity. Al Qaeda’s current profile seems to have imbued in the US a dangerous false sense of security,” warned Ulsch, who is author of the book, Threat! Managing Risk in a Hostile World.

Ulsch added that “Al Qaeda’s evolving profile may not be the reincarnation of its 9/11 body, but its spirit remains unchanged and unchecked. The organization that brought us the most infamous day in recent history is as much a threat today as it ever has been. It is just a different threat, as the conspiracy in Canada clearly illustrates.”

Jihadists in the shadows

Old hand US counterterrorism authorities said while AQC has been “degraded,” Al Qaeda franchises and ideologically like-minded jihadist networks and decentralized cells not necessarily affiliated with AQC have sprung up all over the globe, notably in failing Middle East nations and Islam-dominated North African states.

“We should be very concerned about the direction the so-called ‘Arab Spring’ has gone,” said Faddis. “Egypt and large parts of the remainder of North Africa are falling under the sway of individuals whose ideology is virtually indistinguishable from that of AQ. We may yet see these areas becoming springboards for attacks on the West.”

“It’s not just Al Qaeda proper we’re fighting … it’s Islamist jihadists under any name whose objective is the objective of jihad, which is killing infidels and apostates and re-establishing an Islamic caliphate … clear and simple,” said one of the counterterrorism officials. “We can’t just focus on Al Qaeda; the threat is Islamist jihad. Al Qaeda is just the name of one organization waging jihad. To focus on Al Qaeda, or Al Qaeda franchises, is missing the boat! It’s missing who the enemy is! The enemies [in this context] are Islamist jihadists!”

“The names of these groups really doesn’t matter … what’s important to understand is that they all are engaged in jihad,” another official said.

Whether they’re Al Qaeda loyalists or Islamic jihadists in general, they remain focused on attacking the West, and the United States in particular, officials stressed.

Only months before the attack in Boston, Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence that although “the threat from core Al Qaeda and the potential for a massive coordinated attack on the United States is diminished ... the global jihadist movement is a more diversified, decentralized and persistent threat” than ever before.

Michael Sheehan, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict, warned lawmakers that Al Qaeda is actively trolling for Western recruits to become the “second generation” of Islamic jihadists.

Sheehan said Al Qaeda recruiters are aggressively working to recruit and radicalize second-generation US and European citizens who “may be more receptive to becoming operationalized by the organization.”

For years, though, counterterrorism authorities have been aware that Al Qaeda has focused on recruiting Westerners who aren’t necessarily Muslims who can be transformed into jihadists and dispatched to carry out attacks in Europe and America.

In January, two young middle-class men from English-speaking Canada were involved in an attack by jihadists on a gas facility in Algeria.

Also earlier this year, the on-going Al Qaeda threat to the West was hammered home when, during the trial in Britain of three Birmingham men convicted of plotting a "catastrophic" suicide bombing in the UK, it was revealed that the terrorist organization is developing new strategies to attack the West, authorities confirmed.

This new strategy reputedly involves a teacher-training approach in which carefully selected Western operatives are taught bomb-making and other terrorist tradecraft in Al Qaeda and Taliban-infested regions. These operatives are then instructed to return to the West to "spread the knowledge" to Islamist extremists identified by Al Qaeda as willing to carry out attacks -- including jihadist martyrdom suicide attacks.

This new approach apparently is an adaptive response by Al Qaeda to the growing toll of drone strikes that have made travel to Pakistan’s tribal areas -- once an Al Qaeda stronghold -- increasingly perilous for Western jihadist recruits, and that have significantly diminished the terrorist group’s ability to orchestrate attacks from the region.

The trial of the Al Qaeda operatives in the UK “is one deeply emblematic of a longer term issue in the UK … Al Qaeda in Pakistan remains fixated on trying to attack the West, as seemingly does Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in Yemen, though in both cases it has been a while since they have managed to get operatives positioned in the West involved with viable plots,” said terrorism authority, Raffaello Pantucci, Senior Research Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute and a Homeland Security Today contributor.

“However,” said Pantucci, “their capacity to do this is increasingly hindered.”

“What this Birmingham plot shows is that back in 2011, Al Qaeda in Pakistan was basically training people and then telling them to head back and do whatever they could -- telling them to focus on carrying out effective operations that were low-requirement and would just get the job done,” said Pantucci. “The organization's capacity to launch attacks seems to continue to exist, but it seems as though their capacity to manage the plots as they once were able to is greatly reduced.”

Pantucci emphasized, however, that “the lowering of the numbers of people intercepted does not equate to a lowering of the threat.”

“But, I think more broadly, it is possible to see that groups seem to be refocusing on their local environments than abroad,” said Pantucci. “The story of the past year has been the growing regional threat from Al Qaeda and Affiliated Movements groups, like in Libya, like across the Sahel, like in Syria, like in Nigeria, etc. But in all of these cases, the focus remains regional rather than international. They may continue to shout and use the rhetoric of being international terrorist groups that hate the United States, but it has been a while since we have seen a credible plot emanating from them.”

Veteran counterterrorism authorities though said that seems to have changed with the attack in Boston and subsequently thwarted mass casualty attacks planned by jihadists.

In Feb., the UK-based think tank, The Henry Jackson Society, issued a 700-page report that’s been widely touted to be the most exhaustive study of Al Qaeda-linked terrorism in the United States. Its authors, Robin Simcox and Emily Dyer, wrote that their analysis of “Al Qaeda related offenses (AQROs) … shows that the majority of the Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda-inspired threat to the US homeland comes from ‘home-grown’ terrorism, with US citizens, including US born citizens, featuring prominently among AQRO perpetrators.

The report, Al-Qaeda in the United States: A Complete Analysis of Terrorism Offenses, concluded that Al Qaeda “is adaptable … its threat has diversified,” and “its various franchises still aspire to attack US interests and, significantly, are still able to recruit US citizens to its cause.”

Based on a statistical breakdown and analysis of key trends, the massive report stated “Al Qaeda in the United States shows how the terrorist threat within the US has developed, by profiling all Al Qaeda or Al Qaeda-inspired terrorists who were convicted in US courts (federal and military) or who participated in suicide attacks against the US homeland between 1997 and 2011.”

The report’s foreword was written by former CIA and National Security Agency Director, Air Force Gen. (ret.) Michael Hayden.

In the wake of the Boston bombings, Hayden and Simcox wrote, "What is immediately clear is the need for security officials to undertake a careful review of the terrorist threat that exists on US soil" because "Radicalized individuals continue to seek opportunities to attack."

Even the latest edition of Al Qaeda’s slick magazine, Inspire, clearly “is geared towards Al Qaeda followers and sympathizers in the West in general … and the US in particular … to conduct lone wolf attacks,” said Steven Stalinsky, executive director of the Washington, DC-based Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

“This is the main strategy of those behind Inspire -- it’s not necessarily aimed at converts,” Stalinsky said.

Counterterrorism intelligence officials said they believe Inspire is written, edited and designed by Western jihadi converts.

“Another development” Stalinsky found disturbing, is that in the days immediately after the release of the latest edition of Inspire, “many Twitter accounts were set up to [widely] distribute the magazine.”

Evidence indicates the alleged Boston jihadists used bomb-making instructions published in an earlier edition of Inspire that detailed how to build the pressure-cooker bombs the Tsarnaev brothers allegedly detonated near the Boston Marathon finish line, as well as others that were found in their possession that law enforcement officials believe the brothers planned to detonate before their plans went awry.

Al Qaeda’s use of social media to lure, recruit and radicalize jihadists is not a new development, but it is a dangerous tactic that’s been growing, evolving and becoming more sophisticated, authorities said. And it’s been successful; there are numerous examples of domestic jihadists who either directly communicated via social media platforms with Al Qaeda operatives like American-born Anwar Al Awlaki (who was eventually killed by a US drone strike), or who were otherwise influenced by jihadi groups’ propaganda spewed through social media.

The late former New York City Mayor, Ed Koch, wrote in a March 6, 2012, op-ed in Jewish World Review, that “even Kurzman acknowledges that the total number of US Muslims engaged in the full range of terror-related activity amounts to hundreds more than merely those charged in violent plots or attacks. Financing and other support activities are also a legitimate form of jihad and including those figures in the overall analysis of US Muslims engaged in activity intended to replace the Constitution with Islamic law yields a much more accurate picture of the shariah threat to America.”

Studies have said ‘violence may be constant, or even rising …’ Kurzman conceded that while “aggressive counterterrorism policies may have deterred more and more potential terrorists … the number of Muslim-Americans who would like to engage in violence may be constant, or even rising, but [that] the proportion acting on this impulse has decreased. Another possibility is that government agencies may be disposing of potential terrorism cases more quietly than in the past.”

“Perhaps some suspects who would have been indicted on terrorism-related charges in previous years are increasingly being charged with non-terrorism offenses, or are being identified at an earlier stage than previously and handled through mental health or other interventions without an indictment,” Kurzman said. “In this view, the number of Muslim-Americans embarking on terrorist plots may be constant or [actually] rising, but the proportion that is publicly announced by law-enforcement agencies has decreased.”

“A further possibility,” said Kurzman, “is that fewer Muslim-Americans are drawn to terrorism than in previous years. In this view, the decline in terrorism cases reflects a shrinking of violent extremism among Muslim-Americans.”

Or, he said, “All of these possibilities might be true at the same time: perhaps more potential terrorists are being deterred, more are being thwarted without public knowledge of their cases, and more are drifting away from terrorism on their own.”

Similarly, Thomas Hegghammer, Senior Research Fellow at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, said in his recent American Political Science Review paper, Should I Stay or Should I Go? Explaining Variation in Western Jihadists' Choice between Domestic and Foreign Fighting, that “tentative data indicate that jihadists prefer foreign fighting,” and only “a minority attacks at home [in the West] after being radicalized, most often through foreign fighting or contact with a veteran.”

“Most foreign fighters do not return for [Western] domestic operations ... those who do return are more effective operatives than nonveterans,” said Hegghammer.

Consequently, Hegghammer said, “The findings [of his study] have implications for our understanding of the motivations of jihadists, for assessments of the terrorist threat posed by foreign fighters, and for counterterrorism policy.”

The unseen plotters and the threat they pose

Top homeland security and intelligence officials said known and suspected terrorists -- some of whom were, or were suspected, of involvement in plots on US soil or otherwise involved in jihadi activities in and against America -- have been secretly apprehended trying to illegally enter the United States. Some of these officials have publicly admitted in little known statements that known terrorists were caught illegally entering the US from Mexico.

Other identified jihadists have entered the US who officials admitted have not been caught. Meanwhile, thousands of “Special Interest Aliens” -- persons from Muslim nations know to harbor terrorists or where there is a significant Islamist jihadist presence -- have been apprehended illegally entering the US across the Southwest border, according to data Customs and Border Protection has (CBP) provided to Homeland Security Today.

AQC affiliates also have been tied to human smuggling rings busted in recent years that successfully smuggled untold numbers of suspected jihadists into the United States from Mexico, where jihadists are known to have set up shop.

All of this would tend to indicate that there is a continuing effort by Al Qaeda and other jihad-inspired terrorists to conduct attacks on US soil, and that there are many more jihadists residing in America that studies haven’t accounted for, officials and authorities said.

Similarly, during the period the CIA was operating its secret terrorist rendition program, a still unknown number of terrorists who were plotting attacks on the US were apprehended that can’t be included in studies like Kurzman’s.

“To date … the number of victims” of the US government’s post-9/11 terrorist rendition program “remains unknown, largely because of the extreme secrecy maintained by the United States and its partner governments,” wrote Amrit Singh, Senior Legal Officer for the Open Society Justice Initiative’s National Security and Counterterrorism program, in the group’s new report, Globalizing Torture: CIA Secret Detention and Extraordinary Rendition.

“While President [George W.] Bush acknowledged that the CIA had secretly detained about 100 prisoners, the US government has only identified 16 ‘high value detainees’ as individuals who were secretly held in CIA detention prior to being transferred to US Defense Department custody in Guantánamo Bay,” said Singh. “The United States also has refused to disclose the identities of the foreign governments that participated in secret detention or extraordinary rendition, and few of these governments have admitted to their roles.”

Obama issued an executive order in 2009 “that disavowed torture, ordered the closure of secret CIA detention facilities and established an interagency task force to review interrogation and transfer policies and issue recommendations on ‘the practices of transferring individuals to other nations.’” But, as Singh pointed out, Obama’s “executive order did not repudiate extraordinary rendition, and was crafted to preserve the CIA’s authority to detain terrorist suspects on a short-term, transitory basis prior to rendering them to another country for interrogation or trial.”

Consequently, there is no official public accounting of whether known and suspected terrorists have continued to be secretly captured, detained or shipped off to other nations’ intelligence services. Counterterrorism and intelligence officials, however, expressed with a wink and a nod to indicate some have. If true, it substantively raises the number of jihadists who’ve been caught actively plotting attacks against the US, and constitutes a number authorities said can be extrapolated to indicate many other jihadists also are operating in the shadows.

Senior counterterrorism officials have a much different take on the matter. As one emphasized in an interview just before the attack on the Boston Marathon and the bust of the mass casualty plot hatched in Canada, had just a handful of domestic, home-grown jihadists’ plots been successful in the years since 9/11, “untold thousands” of people potentially could have been killed, which “is still the ultimate, and ideological goal of jihadists: mass casualty attacks on infidels!”

The official -- who lost friends on 9/11 and during counterterror operations in Afghanistan -- said had these jihadists -- “especially those who were plotting large-scale bombings or the use of” weapons of mass destruction” -- succeeded, they potentially could have caused the biggest attacks on American soil since 9/11.”

“Some of the plots, if we hadn’t learned about them,” the official said, “could have caused deaths that would have gone way beyond just a few thousand; and that would have put deaths by [jihadi-motivated] terrorists a helluva lot higher on the scale of causes of deaths in the US … and we damn well need to remember that!”

Clapper told lawmakers that “in 2009, extremists who were first radicalized in the United States, but then travelled overseas and received training and guidance from terrorist groups, attempted two mass-casualty explosives attacks in the United States.”

“On the incidence of ‘terrorism’” as discussed by Kurzman and Schanzer, “what's not so clear is whether prosecutors are actually indicting ‘material supporters’ of terrorism (all the Muslim Brotherhood affiliates that skate free, for example), or whether the enemy sees the enormous progress being made in the ‘pre-violent’ stealth jihad and has backed off a bit on kinetic terrorism; [there’s just] no way to know for sure on that, and surely many ‘individual jihadis’ still plot and try to launch attacks,” Lopez commented prior to the Boston attack.

Clapper, who also headed the Defense Intelligence Agency, told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence in his unclassified Jan. 31, 2012, statement on the Intelligence Community’s worldwide threat assessment, that the “global jihadist movement,” and homegrown jihadists in particular, remains a serious threat. Such a serious threat that the Intelligence Community couldn’t rule out a successful mass casualty attack by Al Qaeda or other jihadists using weapons of mass destruction -- a possibility some counterterrorism officials said is more of a threat today than it was on 9/11.

Echoing Lopez, Clapper said homegrown Islamists "are constrained tactically by a difficult operating environment in the United States," but forewarned that domestic jihadists or “small groups inspired by Al Qaeda’s ideology have exhibited improved tradecraft and operational security and increased willingness to consider less sophisticated attacks, which suggests the [homegrown jihadist] threat may be evolving.”

“Also, we might think about all the foreign battlefields that have opened opportunities for aspiring young jihadis and shahid … they ‘punch their tickets’ just like US military types do,” said Lopez.

"what scares the dickens out of me is [that] we are flying blind [and] have no idea what's headed our way because we have no one in custody to ask anymore," Lopez said."

By the way, the foiled attacks having to do with Jews: the attacks were almost exclusively being carried out "against" Jews, not by Jews. In other words, Jews were the intended victims, not the perpetrators.

Beth, if you are actually going to attempt to refute someone's claim, you actually have to look at the data which corresponds to my claim, not just a superficial look at what pops up on the top of the page. You have to look at the report under "Chronological Summary of Terrorist Incidents in the United States 1980-2005". You then have to compile that data. I said nothing of victims of hate crimes, whether it be antisemitic, islamophobic, etc., nor of victimology. I think that what I wrote was " In fact, from 1980 - 2005, there were more terrorists acts or foiled terrorist plots by Jews on American soil than there were borne of Muslim followers". This means that I was speaking to the perpetrators, not the people who were targeted. These are completely two different sets of data. Is there some reading comprehension problem on Care 2 today? I thought what I wrote was pretty clear.

FBI Statistics on Terrorism 1995 - 2005

Between 1980 and 2005, people of the Jewish faith actually perpetuated more successful and foiled domestic terrorist acts than those of the Muslim faith. I must note though that both those practicing Judaism and Muslim were pretty low on the radar in comparison to acts of terrorism by animal rights activists, environmental activists,

Latino groups - 42%
Extreme Left Wing Groups - 24%
Jewish Extremists - 7%
Islamic Extremists 6%
Communists - 5%

As to European terrorism, the EU Terrorism Situation and Trend Report from Europol shows that less than 1% of terrorism in Europe involves Muslims at at February 2012. Between 9/11 and February 2012, zero, zip, zilch US civilians have been killed in the US. In Europe, no European civilians have been killed by Islamic jihadists. One European security guard was slightly wounded by Islamic terrorism. These statistics come from Europol's ("Europol is the European law enforcement agency. Our job is to make Europe safer by assisting the Member States of the European Union in their fight against serious international crime and terrorism.") Beth:

Religious lunacy and extremism are prevalent in virtually each and every religion. Have you taken a good look at Masada 2000 or how about their famous Jewish S.H.I.T. list. No one is debating whether crazy, radicalized islamists exist. With that said, crazy, extremist bible thumpers, crazy, extremist Jews and crazy extremist Protestants also exist. Not one face that would qualify as bible thumper is posted on the ad.

I really didn't want to read a cut and paste job that seemed to fill several screens (I hate scrolling), hence didn't give it a thorough read, but scanned enough. I see you put Obama in it. Who said I support Barack Obama? My support for him is about as enthusiastic as I was in my support for the idiot President, George W. Bush.

The point is that this ad campaign attempts to demonize a group of people based on their faith/ethnicity. It implies that the global face on terrorism is solely held by Muslims. This is completely untrue and bigoted. Your opinion of CAIR is solely derived by anti-Muslim sources. My point though was not in defence of Muslim, nor is it of any religion. It is the clear misrepresentation these ads made and the downright disgusting commentary which ensued on this website following the article.

When open debate is based on erroneous misrepresentation demonizing a group of people disproportionately, it is bigotry. There is no wiggle room in regard to this one. If the global faces of terror depicted an accurate demographic representation of terrorists, I would have no problem with this. Would you like all white born again Christians thought to have the intellect of Sarah Palin/Michele Bachmann and be the brunt of jokes following them into the afterlife? This though is sending a message that terrorism is solely owned by one specific group, which actually perpetuates less terror than their white non Muslim counterparts.

Further, to qualify this as open debate is not only laughable, but certainly doesn't deserve to have debate associated with it. It, as always, is a descent into madness where people feel anonymous and safe enough to spout off about their intolerance and bigotry for anything that the don't quite understand.

Has it ever occurred to you that the actions of the United States are one of the primary motivations to the resultant terrorism? How about Pakistan, a country we are not at war with. Do you think that we may be making enemies based on our actions dropping crap on a civilian population or do you think that they just hate us for our freedoms. Let me be clear, they hate us for killing their families, friends and coworkers; destroying their homes; denying their livelihood while we pontificate from the pulpit on our morality, decency and let's not forget, American exceptionalism.

I see you also failed to cite your cut and paste job. Your opinion would be a little more credible if you actually conveyed your point of view through your own words or at least to cite your source. If you don't, it basically is theft.

quote... IT IS A DISPROPORTIONATE DEMOGRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF THE FACE OF TERRORISM..Unquote
I think the point of the story is that Cair should not have this influence --

You try to fog the isssue here with irrelevancies but then you forget to mention

Senior CAIR employee Randall Todd Royer, a/k/a “Ismail” Royer, pled guilty and was sentenced to twenty years in prison
for participating in a network of militant jihadists centered in Northern Virginia. He admitted to aiding and abetting three persons
who sought training in a terrorist camp in Pakistan for the purpose of waging jihad against American troops in Afghanistan.
Royer’s illegal actions occurred while he was employed with CAIR

CAIR's Director of Community Relations, Bassem Khafagi , was arrested by the United States due to his ties with a terror-financing front group. Khafagi pled guilty to charges of visa and bank fraud, and agreed to be deported to Egypt. Khafagi’s illegal actions occurred while he was employed by CAIR.

On December 18, 2002, Ghassan Elashi, founding board member of CAIR-Texas, a founder of the Holy Land Foundation,and a brother-in-law of Musa Abu Marzook , was arrested by the United States and charged with, among other things,making false statements on export declarations, dealing in the property of a designated terrorist organization, conspiracy and money laundering. Ghassan Elashi committed his crimes while working at CAIR, and was found Guilty.

CAIR Board Member Imam Siraj Wahaj, an un-indicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing,has called for replacing the American government with an Islamic caliphate, and warned that America will crumble unless it accepts Islam.

Rabih Haddad served as a CAIR Fundraiser. Haddad was co-founder of the Global Relief Foundation (“GRF”). GRF was designated by the US Treasury Department for financing the Al Qaida and other terrorist organizations and its assets were frozen by the US Government on December 14, 2001.

Consistent with Hamas ideology, CAIR has served as a conduit for the distribution of materials and funds from foreign nationals to groups and institutions within the United States for the purpose of promoting radical Islam and Hamas ideology, and attacked Islamic clerics and scholars who reject radical Islam and the Hamas agenda.

Federal Bureau of Investigation recorded evidence places CAIR founders Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad at a Philadelphia meeting of the radical Muslim Brotherhood's "Palestine Committee". According to the FBI, "all attendees of this meeting are Hamas members or sympathizers."

Lily,

In addition, I don't think that you realize the inconsistency you cited here.

"FBI Statistics on Terrorism 1995 - 2005

Between 1980 and 2005......"

So you are referencing something between 1995-2005, but then you're supposedly supporting by giving data between 1980-2005. Why? Where's the data for either?

Several of the sites under the title you referenced above took me back to the FBI page, and there appears to be no breakdown in percentages as you have quoted.

It looks like Lily is try to do the old red herring trick. The FBI sign says "The Faces of GLOBAL Terrorism."

There is no question that the vast majority of global terrorism is by Islamists.

The FBI is right. They wouldn't have put out the poster if they didn't think so. They took it down because they were pressured to. Political correctness trumps the freedom Americans have to be on the lookout for people out to hurt them.

Lily T. (8)
Sunday July 7, 2013, 12:30 am
What specifically am I fogging Tommy? Perhaps, the problem lies with your comprehension.

CAIR's employee Ismail Royer pled guilty for his participation in a terrorist network and takes full responsibility for his actions. This is one individual Are we going to say that the Roman Catholic Church promotes paedophelia based on the actions of some of its' clergy? Are we going to define the Jewish people based on the actions of Baruch Goldstein and his murder of 29 Muslims while at prayer? You cannot judge the actions of all based on a few. How about blaming the terror acts of Anders Behring Breivik on Pamela Gellar and Robert Spence?

AS for fog, the only fog here is the one clouding your though process. The issue is about the ad campaign of depicting the global face of terrorism as the Muslim/Middle Eastern population. The ads are sheer propaganda and in no way depict the true "global face of terrorism". As for terror organizations. How about state sanctioned terrorism. Your country is famous for it. Using a website "anti-cair" clearly demonstrates a biased and most likely bigoted source. How about something with credibility. I am not even questioning its credibility as I couldn't be bothered than do more than scan it. People who cut and paste their whole argument are a) academic lazy of b) completely incapable of independent thought. Would it be too difficult to cobble words together in something resembling a sentence?

Again, Tommy, the problem here is that the ad campaign discussed fails to represent the demographic population fairly when referring to the "global face of terror". It suggests that all terrorists are either Muslim, from the Middle East or both. To be fair, there would be plenty of white faces up there too. I really don't care if pictures of terrorists are planted all around the universe, (if we are sure that they are terrorists. Let's face it the credibility of the United States is eroding at a rapid rate) but to suggest that one group is solely responsible for terrorism is harmful, erroneous and bigoted. The hateful, bigoted, intolerable rhetoric that flowed from it is unparalleled.

Considering your whole argument is based on something you cribbed from an extremely unreliable, dubious source, I certainly believe that not only the term delusional, but also simplistic and juvenile are certainly terms you solely own.

Beth, it is a typo. Get over it. I didn't attempt to refute someone's data by using a completely, unrelated data. I actually cited the correct figures and made a typo on the heading which is clearly corrected by the first sentence which follows the typo, beginning with, "Between 1980 and 2005". This doesn't change the data. Again Beth if you followed your own link and looked to the right, you would see "Chronological Summary of Terrorist Incidents in the U.S. 1980-2005" with a link right to it. Do I have to draw you a map? Considering that was the original data set I referred to in my first post and that even though I made a typo (which is just that, a typo), it was followed by the correct time frame immediately thereafter. In addition, Queen of cut and paste with no citation (also known as thievery), I wouldn't be castigating anyone for the data they referred to when you posted a complete either lie or lack of reading comprehension.

Nope Lee, no cigar. Are you too incapable of actually looking something up, or do you just make it up as you go along?

I already mentioned Europol above Here is more on Europol.

Now, onto the European Union and the Islamic Terrorist Threat:

The EU Terrorism Situation and Trend Report from Europol shows that less than 1% of terrorism in Europe involves Muslims.

Here are the statistics for from the Annual Europol Report regarding terrorism. The number of terrorist attacks reported within the report refers to the number of failed, foiled or successful acts of terror.

2006: One of 498 European Union terrorist attacks were by Islamic Groups.

2007: Four of 583 terrorist attacks in the EU wre by Islamic groups.

2008: 1 of 515 terrorist attacks in the EU were by Islamic Groups

One was reported in Britain which was left off the report, I have included it in the data.

2009: 1 of 294 terrorist attacks in the EU were by Islamic Groups.

2010: 3 of 249 terrorist attacks in the EU were by Islamic Groups.

In the 2009 Europol report:

"Islamist terrorism is still perceived as being the biggest threat worldwide, despite the fact that the EU only faced one Islamist terrorist attack in 2008. This bomb attack took place in the UK…Separatist terrorism remains the terrorism area which affects the EU most. This includes Basque separatist terrorism in Spain and France, and Corsican terrorism in France…Past contacts between ETA and the FARC illustrate the fact that also separatist terrorist organizations seek cooperation partners outside the EU on the basis of common interests. In the UK, dissident Irish republican groups, principally the RIRA and the CIRA, and other paramilitary groups may continue to engage in crime and violence." [Europol Report, 2009]

Please Lee, stop embarrassing yourself.

Also Lee, the red herring tactic actually doesn't apply here except for the shift of conversation to the nature of Islam rather than the misrepresentation of the global faces of terrorism. Changing the topic by holding a shiny object up is red herring. If I didn't address terrorism elsewhere might be misleading or not on topic, but certainly not the red herring/shiny object model of logic which it seems you all have perfected.

You're right, Phyllis.

Can you imagine a group lobbying for pedophiles?

Actually CAIR comes close, as it looks to the Quran and Hadiths for examples for Muslims how to live their lives. That's why there's a huge problem in Saudi Arabia with Saudi men RAPING BABIES.

You have to wonder at people who defend this stuff.

CAIR people get very touchy when they're mentioned. They like to pretend that they are "moderate". In fact, they are the Muslim Brotherhood's foremost American lobbyist, litigation and propaganda tacticians and strategists.

They are anything but moderate. Boxes of their internal communications were picked up and reported on. The picture's not pretty. The details are many. I will write more about this tomorrow.

Lily, a name of a lovely flower, could in fact be Abdullah or Achmed masquerading as non-Muslim. Certainly the attitude, propaganda, trying to change the subject tactic is there.

Nope wasn't actually defending anything, perhaps there is a little time needed with reading comprehension. You people brought it in. What I said was that the ads themselves were inaccurate and failed to represent a correct picture of what represents the face of global terrorism. It certainly isn't 100% Muslim Phyllie Dillie

It seems that none of you can actually argue your points and provide credible support for your arguments. When other people do, they are either anti-semitic or an Islamic apologist (which it just a buzzword out there printed on ridiculous blogs for Phylllis to jump on.

The ridiculousness of your responses makes for plenty of laugher and realization that the American educational system is in dire straights. I am not going to jump in an argument about "raping babies" right now. I don't want to discuss the Roman Catholic church. The problem is that the level of hatred and fear you people demonstrate clouds any reason, fact or plain common sense.

Islamic terrorists don't confine themselves to Islamic countries, but they actually make their way here.

There are even people, which the FBI is very concerned about, that self-radicalize, because they read the Islamist magazines and watch the Islamist videos telling them to kill Americans.

That's how we had the Fort Hood killings and numerous other people that have tried to do more, but have been foiled, by the FBI.

We can see why they're very concerned, and we also know that CAIR has told Islamic communities in the U.S. not to help the FBI or give them any information.

No, my beef is with Islamic supremacist ideology. Muslims are human beings who may or may not subscribe to Islamic supremacist/totalitarian political doctrine of a global caliphate and forcing Sharia/Islam down the throat of non-Muslims and erasing all the gains that Western civilization has made through many years and much blood. I'd like to say goodbye to tyrants. Islam/Sharia -- the real thing -- is THE biggest bully on the global block.. The political ideology is evil, akin to Nazism. In fact, as you probably know, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Nazis have quite an intimate history and mutual admiration society.

No need to state the obvious, Lily, I am pasting the statistics for Islamic Terror Attacks for First Part of 2013

Of interest to anyone,,, the ask the imam sites seem to be disappearing and links return an
"Error: The requested address '/fatwa/fatwa.php' was not found on this server."
However the question was
http://www.askimam.org/fatwa/fatwa.php?askid=50fb374d3e77f2f446cfe67ac32e50f2

question Why do fundamentalists take the Koran so literally where as others apply a more modern thought
to the writings?

Answer... At the outset, it is important to clarify the term fundamentalists. In Islam, there is no such term. Does it mean one who follows Islam in totality? As Muslims, the Laws of Allah and the Sunnah of Rasulullah subjugate us. Islam provides a complete and comprehensive way of life. In numerous verses of the Quraan, we are encouraged to follow Deen in totality. As Muslims, we cannot practice those Laws that suit us and discard the others. Nevertheless, the Quraan is absolute and infallible. One cannot interpret the Quraan as he/she desires. There have been grave warnings for those who interpret the Quraan without having the necessary knowledge to do so. There is no modern taught to the Quraan. Those who claim a modern taught to the Quraan do so to suit their own whims and fancies.

It would seem some of the kafirs are boxing clever unlike the delusionists who may or may not be muslim
These terrorists are just good muslims

In addition they used to use gobbledygook
question
Fatwa # 5115 from New Zealand Date: Tuesday, March 5th 2002
Plz tell me about Osama bin ladin and Taliban
Question
> Assalam - o - Alaikum, > > I pray to Allah to continue your service for as long as possible. I have
> some questions regarding Islamic Politics and Taliban. In light of all the > events that we have
witnessed, do u suggest that Taliban were correct in the manner they tried to enfore shariah? I
mean, surely Islam doesnt allow to be strict in enforcing shariah in other ppl's lives, like making
men keep beards, and confining women to their homes.... There is a lot of misconception about
Usama bin Ladin as well in the media? I study in New Zealand and at times it becomes imperative
to talk on him. What are your comments regarding him? Also what should be the model system we
should be following... And were monarchies like the Abassyed and Fatimides and others like
Moghuls in modern times true Islamic Reigns? Plz reply soon... Allah-Haafiz. Fuad

or to put it another way

Taliban was a valid Sharia government. The methods adopted by the Taliban were in accordance to
the Shariah.In the Sharia.The Imaam Islamic ruler has the right and duty to enforce the external
laws of the Shariah. This had been the practice of the four rightly guided KhulafaaRaashideen.
Usama binLadin is an upright Muslim and a devoted Mujaahid of Islam .The allegations made
against him were malicious and designed to justify the wests war against Islam.He himself has
vehemently denied these allegations. In Islam the ideal system of appointment of the Ameer is that
of Shura consultation with the Ulama. The Ulama or the senior and responsible members of the
society should appoint the Ameer who will then appoint his government. This is the most preferred
method. However should a proper Islamic government be established by other methods e.g.
monarchy then as long as they rule inaccordance with the Shariah they will be a valid
Islamicgovernment.and Allah Taala Knows Best

70% of terrorists WORLD WIDE are Sunni http://cnsnews.com/news/article/sunni-muslim-extremists-committed-70-terrorist-murders-2011

This leaves 30% of other kinds of Muslims and non-Muslims to be on the list.

Of course anyone who disagrees with Lily has to be a hateful Islamophobe. Just because those of us on this board object to the forced removal of a list of most wanted terrorists because of their ethnic or religious origin does not make us anti-Muslim but I would point out that we are anti-terrorists and anti-terrorism. I'm aware that not all terrorists are Muslim but the vast majority of terrorists are just as we all have to qualify that not all Muslims are terrorists continually. Why do we have to? Is it because hate fuelled people like to leap onto genuine objections and twist the truth?

CAIR is a Muslim organisation with links to terrorist organisations including Hamas. They force the government to change the way the FBI works to protect the civilian population from terrorist attacks, what other minority organisation has such power and why is it listened to? Then there are an amazing number of Muslim advisors in the government and they are extremists, Wahabi the same version that spawned Bin Laden. When a moderate, Dr Jasser, was offered a position they objected and the offer rescinded, why? If someone, such as Bachmann, raises a legitimate concern about a Muslim, such as Abedin with known and proven ties to the Muslim Brotherhood through her family, they are attacked and abused as racist. Why? No-one said that Muslims couldn’t work in government but when a specific person’s appointment was questioned then all hell breaks loose!

And, as for the real truth about CAIR try http://www.anti-cair-net.org/ which states, “ Let there be no doubt that the Council on American-Islamic Relations is a terrorist supporting front organization that is partially funded by terrorists, founded by terrorists, and that CAIR wishes nothing more than the implementation of Sharia Law in America”, and goes on to prove it.

Lily, can you prove the opposite? Can you prove that CAIR is not a terrorist organisation? Can you prove that most terrorists are not Muslim? Can you prove or substantiate in any way that your hysterical rants have a proper foundation of fact?

Of course Lily, an Lloyd, may be objecting because of profiling. Shock! Horror! But if the majority of terrorists are Muslims of various kinds then one must accept that a Muslim is more likely to be a terrorist or a supporter of terrorism than the Dutch guy down the road.

Or should we just turn to plain common sense and accept the truth, the terrorists who crashed into the Twin Towers were Muslim.

Lily, you are arguing an uphill battle, as you discuss with your heart, instead of you head, hopefully you will do more research and understand that the goal of the Islamic society is to tell people how to run their lives and make women second class citizens in all the world.

We complain when we loose a freedom or two, just be aware if you lived in an Islamic society you would have not freedoms except those given by the Islamic fathers, ayatollah. There are a lot of good people in the Islamic society, we just need to be careful that we treat all of them as human beings just as if they were Catholic or protestant or what ever, no special treatment. If it is profiling that is needed, so be it.

The problem with so many of these discussions is that race gets confused with religion or ideology and personalities with ideology. I once worked with a man who appeared to be friendly and kind to his friends and colleagues. I was horrified one day when he told me that his father had been a Nazi SS officer in WW2 and that he in principal supported the ideology of the Nazis. In order to continue working with this man I had to mentally separate the man from his ideology without changing my dislike for Nazism. I know many kind Muslim people who apart from the odd halal throat cutting of a sheep are quite pleasant. This does not unfortunately mean that their ideology that clearly and unequivocally espouses stuff like world supremacy, child marriage (as well as consummation), contempt for non-believers and a second rate status for women is wonderful and above reproach or criticism. After all the ideology of Islam is not some tiny little sect battling to survive against Western prejudice and the FBI. Dear Lloyd and Lilly, Islam has over 2 billion followers and is backed by zillions of petro-dollars with mosques, madrassas, media publicity and generous pay-offs to armies of Western politicians, media monkeys and publicists. A few “Wanted” posters on a bus are not even going to come close to denting its reputation, not even for 1 nanosecond. I would guess that if you have a high level of personal investment in this ideology it could it dent your sensitivity. The question is, “What is your investment?”

Michaela - I am glad you wouldn't want to be like me

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is what some of your wonderful Islamists that you're defending so passionately are doing in Egypt at present:
protesters thrown off building in Alexandria
Even though I have many good Muslim friends, it is not blinding me to the faults of too many Islamists...
... btw, I wouldn't for the life of me wish to be like you are on this topic/thread either ...
What an arrogant, appeaser Lily is! If she had any idea what was going on especially here in Europe with Islamists she wouldn't make such incredibly naive statements. Islam is the only 'religion' that does not teach the Golden Rule, except for other Muslims, and the only one that commands the murder of anyone who criticizes, questions or leaves it. Is it hateful to oppose these primitive, hateful, violent and intolerant teachings? If it is then we are 'haters'. We don't hate all Muslims, but we hate the ugly hateful teachings in Islam.
Lily, have you ever read the Qur'an, hadith? We have and it is sickening. There are some nicer verses in the Q, but anyone who knows anything about Islam (which, sadly, doesn't include many Muslims) knows that all the earlier Meccans verses were abrogated by the far more hateful, violent and intolerant verses after Mohammed moved to Medina, became a warlord and started forcing people to convert by the sword, not to mention his rape of captive women, having a harem of sex slaves, robbing caravans and taking kidnap victims for ransom and much more evil. How could any decent person who cares about human rights defend Islam?
The terror daily around the world is, as Gillian says above, 70% committed by just Sunni Muslims, and often against other Muslims who are 'heretics'. In every Muslim occupied land (since they were all once Christian, Buddhist or Hindu before Islam's bloody spread - 80 plus million slaughtered in the Islamic invasion of India alone, and all in the name of Allah who commanded and condoned it all.)
SUNNI MUSLIMS COMMITTED 70% OF ALL TERRORIST ACTS IN THE WORLD IN 2011:
http://cnsnews.com/news/article/sunni-muslim-extremists-committed-70-terrorist-murders-2011 according to a report by the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) 8/3/12 AND:
Duke University research reports during the ten years that followed 911 “Almost 200 Muslim-Americans have been involved in violent plots of terrorism over this decade, and more than 400 Muslim-Americans have been indicted or convicted for supporting terrorism.” See conclusion on page 8 of report
Reliance of the Traveller, o9.0:
"Jihad means to war against non-Muslims."
The Reliance of the Traveller is Sunni Islam’s authoritative volume on Sharia law. It is endorsed by Alazhar University, Islam’s equivalent of the Vatican.
Even the Zakat, the commanded 'charitable' giving Muslims are supposed to do cannot, by Sharia law, be given to non-Muslims, and part of that money must, also by Sharia law, be given to those who are fighting infidels to spread Islam. Nice. Come on Lily, tell us how nice this is.
Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle. All Muslims are commanded to fight against the rest of us and take over the world for Allah by deceit, subversion, out breeding and by violence - the only religion that teaches such evil.
Lily, here's what a Muslim who campaigns for Islam to renounce all its violent and hateful teachings and come into the 21st century has to say to you and other people ignorant of what Islam teaches. Are you going to call him 'hateful'? He lives under a death sentence for even suggesting that Islam should be reformed, as Allah has said that every word in the twisted Qur'an is true for all time and not one letter can be changed (though, of course much was changed or lost):
For their part, Western liberals would do well not to sacrifice critical thinking to the god of political correctness, or look for reasons to bring other religion down to the level of Islam merely to avoid the existential truth that this it is both different and dangerous.
There are just too many Muslims who take the Quran literally... and too many others who couldn't care less about the violence done in the name of Islam. (Dr. Zudhi Jasser, a reformist Muslim in the US, estimates that 20% of all Muslims are Orthodox, that believe in obeying to the letter the violent commands of Islam - that’s over 300million Muslims!)
Lily, and all you other blind defenders of hate and evil, before you go making ridiculous statements, read the Qur'an, hadith (the sayings and actions of Mohammed) and the sirah (Mohammed's whitewashed bio). See for yourselves what you are defending. It is YOU who are the haters for defending an ideology that demeans women, calls for the murder of non-Muslims and those who leave this cult of hate and death, the killing of gay people (but why should you care about them, right?), the sexual abuse of little children (because Mohammed did it himself and his malevolent deity smiled on it all), banditry, beheadings of those who refused to convert to this religion of peace and tolerance and so much more.
Not one Muslim occupied land has freedom of religion, speech, conscience or press. Allah doesn't allow it. And the 57 member OIC (Org. of Islamic Countries, the largest voting block in the UN) refuses to uphold the UN's Universal Declaration on Human Rights because it contradicts Islamic sharia law on the treatment of women, children, gay people and on freedom of religion and conscience and speech, all of which it opposes.
Are you goofballs seriously defending this? Would you defend Nazism, which had much in common with Islam (Hitler loved Islam and said Mohammed was the only prophet he respected) because some Nazis were nice people and didn't murder anyone?
Why don't you defend the KKK since there are Klan members who are nice people and have never lynched anyone? But you don't see it to be 'hateful' to condemn all other groups you dislike, do you - only Islam. What total lack of reason you have.
You can just feel the love.
It reminds me of those renowned members of the Religion of Peace, Hamas and Fatah, when both sides were responsible for the targeting and killing of civilians, public executions of political opponents and captives, *throwing prisoners off high-rise apartment buildings*, fighting in hospitals, and shooting from a jeep marked with "TV" insignias.
But CAIR doesn't like anybody reminding people about those horrific deeds, not being conducive to their propaganda of claiming victimhood.
No Lily, it is you who has a problem with the English language. What an incredible snob for someone who knows nothing about this subject. Other commentators on this thread Beth S, Tommy, Gillian and others, have a much better grasp of what is happening than you and Lloyd, who always makes the same inane remarks and never has bothered to educate himself on the subject of Islam.
Michaela, please don't let these arrogant, hateful bigots get you down. You are right. They are wrong, just like ignorant bigots everywhere.
It is interesting to me that people like Lily and Lloyd and so many other leftists are so quick to make this hateful ideology their latest pet project, knowing nothing about it and how it opposes everything that true leftists should actually support.
Sadly, this is history repeating itself since it was the same people who jumped in to defend and appease Hitler and the Nazis some 80 years ago. Then the leftist government leaders like Chamberlain, church leaders and the media, just like now, all turned a blind eye to all the hate speech and terrorism, even the killing camps, because they didn't want to offend Hitler (sound familiar?) They called anyone, like Churchill (who was right), haters and bigots too, just like they do now with those who try to warn about the dangers of Islam.
The editor of the Times of London even refused to print the stories of the hate and killing by Nazism from his own reporter because it would 'offend' Hitler. It's all in the excellent book (if Lily and Lloyd can read), William Manchester’s biography' William Spencer Churchill Alone'.
Here's a quote from that book that is directed at these deliberately blind to hate people:
'In the 1930’s Hitler and Nazism were rising in power in Germany. As the evil of their intentions became reality on the ground, nearly every leader in Europe completely denied the evil in front of their eyes. The drive to think only good thoughts about Hitler and appease him in every way saturated the speech and reports of political and religious leaders, the universities and the press. Not even the invasion of bordering states could disprove the “Hitler is a reasonable man” point of view held by the establishment. Appeasement would make him like them and be reasonable. Peace at all costs was the moral motto.
Since they would not strike while Hitler was weak, the Europeans had to deal with the Nazis when they came to full fighting strength, and it took massive costs of treasure and blood to deal with the problem. The establishment’s peace by appeasement brought great evil.
The parallels between the establishment’s denial about the Nazis then and their leadership about Islam today are frightening. We see that denial of facts in the face of fear is a human trait.'
Carola - A better grasp by Beth? You have to be Sh**ting me. She doesn't even know how to read a report and look for the stats I posted. Cut ad paste seems to be the order of the day here. No independent thought, no critical thinking skills. How one knows when they are dealing with full blown bigots? Rather than actually discuss the article, they use it as their personal space to spout their intolerance, ignorance and hatred.
Lily,
Both Beth and Lee just wrote to me and said that their comments wouldn’t post to this thread.
Sounds more and more like you, Lily, are probably Jessica Pieklo, attorney, writer for Care2 Causes. And you’re censoring comments, which you would be able to as an insider for C2C
Interestingly you also posted the same discredited statistics that Scott Freewheeler did on the thread:
Meet The New Face of Terrorism: White Guys
Read more: http://www.care2.com/causes/meet-the-new-face-of-terrorism-white-guys.html#ixzz2YO3M66P9
I can see, too, when you have insider power at Care2, you don’t mind censoring debate. Sounds like someone who would work to undermine this country, democracy and free speech.
Sounds like you are pretty desperate, Jes/lil, and real touchy about CAIR, too.
Let me post some interesting facts about CAIR. (barely a start)
(From the Muslim Mafia)
It certainly does seem that Lily/Jessica is very, very touchy about CAIR
CAIR, which calls itself an advocate for Muslim-Americans, has operated largely in secret since its inception fifteen years ago. As a non profit group, it is exempt from paying federal income taxes and is protected from disclosing the identities of its financial donors.
These sensitive files, which have been gleaned without CAIR’s knowledge, contain more than 12,000 pages of documents that collectively amount to a smoking gun linking the nation’s preeminent Islamic lobby group to terrorism, fraud and sedition.
Sheet to sheet, the pages of evidence would stretch more than two miles, or the length of about 35 football fields. They include:
- confidential internal memos
- proprietary minutes of board meetings:
- budget reports
- real estate records
- strategy papers
- agendas
- long term goals
- employee evaluations
- emails wire transfers and other bank statements
- proposals
- handwritten notes
- letters
- brochures
- spreadsheets
- visitors logs; and
- a host of other raw materials not reported by the media or even by law enforcement
after all this arguing, what it comes down to is the a-holes at cair should be outraged and disgusted that their co-religionists are in the top 20 or 16 or however many. not mad that their pix are up there, but mad that they got themselves on that list.
there are lots of black dudes on the post office walls. i don't want them taken down, though. i get pissed off that they make the rest of us look bad. no home training and they don't act right and then people stereotype the rest of us who are decent people with them.
course cair people DON't mind that they folks did terror acts, do they. they never denounce it. never.
It looks like you hit the nail on the head, Beth, with a C2C insider censoring yours and Lee's posts, and then having Jessica/Lily changer her mind about it when called on it.
I am looking to hearing more about CAIR, Beth.
So many of us have thought Care2 is just a savvy front organization for CAIR, and they thought they could get away with it right under our noses, even using a homonym for CAIR, having so much contempt for their readership that they wouldn't even recognize the cute connection.
Rob and Jay B. (120)
Sunday July 7, 2013, 1:23 pm
Good point Cousin It. Why are Most Wanted posters allowed that show black people? Why doesn't the Mafia demand that its members be removed from lists too, after all isn't that bigotry against Italians? After all, not all Mafiosi are killers, and they often have nice picture-perfect families too, right?
If most of the top 20 terror suspects are Muslims, so be it. If they weren't killers and hate mongers they wouldn't be there, and you're right, CAIR, a Muslim Brotherhood front group which has made it clear in their agenda seized by the FBI that their intention is "to destroy western civilization" and force us all to bow to Islam - submit is the word, and to their fire-breathing deity. What's hateful about opposing these creeps?
CAIR, along with other Muslim Bro. front groups, and the MB itself were convicted in US courts, and upheld, on terrorist funding charges. CAIR IS a hate group. They support Sharia law which calls for the subjugation of women, the restriction on freedoms of speech, religion, conscience and press (and having great success around the infidel West too - just look at their presence in the Obama White House as hie 'advisors' and his support, with tax dollars, of the MB and Saudi-backed 'rebels' that have taken over in the Arab Spring countries, and now in Syria, to enforce Islam's hateful agenda of oppression).
But Lily the dhimmi know-nothing couldn't care less. Just ignore this arrogant, ignorant twit. She doesn't want to know.
Lily is typical of the anti-Semite/pro-Muslim group. Present her with facts and she ignores them, Ask her a question and she ignores it.
Well Lily, are you able to answer my questions? To refresh your memory "Can you prove that CAIR is not a terrorist organisation? Can you prove that most terrorists are not Muslim? Can you prove or substantiate in any way that your hysterical rants have a proper foundation of fact? "
The point is that if the majority of terrorists are Muslim then it is not racist to show them on the side of the bus. If the most wanted terrorists are all Muslim then it is not racist to show them on the side of the bus.
What IS dangerous is to ignore the obvious and allow Muslim terrorists to kill and maim people in the US (or any other country) because you don't want Muslims shown in a bad light and allow the most wanted on the side of the bus just because they are Muslims. I sincerely doubt that those people killed and maimed in Boston wanted to be nor do I think they and their families should suffer because YOU think it is unacceptable to show terrorist pictures. I wonder that when the next attack happens if you say, "Why didn't the FBI stop them?" instead of saying, "If the poster was side of buses then maybe they could have been stopped and lives saved".
Lily T. (8)
Sunday July 7, 2013, 4:19 pm
And what facts would that be Tiger lady. I presented facts, I protested the ad campaign, you people changed the subject, misread a simple FBI report and have provided nothing but idiocy and I am ignoring a question. Further, other people have lives and don't try to get validation from a public forum. What a complete waste of air you are GM. This was about the complete misrepresentation of the "global faces of terrorism", not your anti Muslim pulpit.
Sunday July 7, 2013, 5:47 pm
Like we said, the FBI dared to tell the truth. CAIR has been going around pushing law enforcement agencies to decouple terrorism & Islam.
CAIR told a number of media groups to not use the word "Islamist" anymore, since CAIR didn't like it, and Associated Press, ever afraid of CAIR, did their little Dhimmi dance and duly caved. No more word "Islamist" in any articles from AP.
CAIR is insidious, and while the FBI is far from perfect, I congratulate them on having a lot more guts than many in this country.
Now, if only more universities, media, politicians and the like would get some cojones and tell the truth about CAIR and Islamic terrorism, we would be so far down the path, not so far behind the situation in Europe.
Sorry Lily, you copy pasted some drivel about attacks in Europe without any links to put them in context, that is not representative of what is happening world wide nor in the US which is what we are all talking about. Your English comprehension is suspect or you are unable to understand what is being said.
In the meantime, I am talking about the story on this page which is about the objection to wanted Muslim terrorists objecting to being exposed and CAIR being run by terrorists and with known associations. I have also provided links. I also asked to to prove that this information is not correct and you have twice ignored the requests. I can only assume that you are not able to hence the shrill cry of the incompetent unable to substantiate incorrect statements.
As has been suggested above, it could be considered racist to put up posters of any criminal except for whites because they could be from a minority. But then is that not prejudicial against whites? Tell you what, let's get rid of the police in case they say something to upset a coloured person, the FBI because they could stop a non-white person as a terrorist and any other form of public protection, just in case. Is that OK? The fact that anarchy will rule and the chances are that you will be burgled, robbed, assaulted and/or killed is irrelevant, at least no minority will be upset.
Great points, G.M. I will add those sources to my files.
Yes, it is quite noticeable that Lily/Jessica Pieklo could not support her manifestly absurd statistics when asked to several times. She probably got them from the well-known wacko, Scott Freewheeler, who offered them and who also couldn't support them in a column Jessica wrote a few years ago about white terrorists. Like most of the things that rabidly anti-Semitic organizations like the Nazified Muslim Brotherhood which Lily/Jessica offer up, it usually turns out to be a bowl of vomit or worse.
Since the majority of Egyptians found out what it’s like to live under the Muslim Brotherhood regime and were quite anxious to dump the Ikhwan/MG, because given enough rope, the Ikhwan quickly proved it could only function as a protest group/5th wheel and its beliefs and policies are inimical (as well as incompetent and deadly) to those who have tasted the sweet fruit of freedom that Lily/Jessica and her ilk are all too happy to destroy.
The Ikhwan has managed to maneuver itself cleverly – according to its plans as evidenced from the thousands of papers confiscated from the higher-ups at the Muslim Brotherhood – into many high places within the U.S. government – under the aegis of their primary sympathizer, Barack Hussein Obama, who had hundreds of secret meetings with CAIR officials at the White House.
So when Lily/Jessica couldn’t win her argument within the narrow confines of the one she might make in her capacity as an attorney, she had to resort to intimidating techniques, abusive language, temporarily blocking my and Lee’s comments from being posted, name-calling, baiting, and ultimately feigning disgust to find a way to back out of an argument she knew she couldn’t win.
Whatever her motives, Lily/Jessica is essentially a traitor to this country, and I hope some day, when the radical left and Islamists are properly exposed, that she will feel the hand of law she now works to undermine.
That reminds me. I forgot to mention some more about CAIR of the Muslim Brotherhood, who wants all the bad stuff about Islam hushed up. Of course, all people need to do is look at the Egyptians who can't stand the Muslim Brotherhood and their global aims either.
Just a small sampling of the stunning revelations from, “Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America” (2009) (CAIR, Muslim Brotherhood)
- CAIR is trying to spring from prison a former headquarters official who trained for jihad with the same Pakistani terrorist group that last year massacred more than 150 people in Mumbai, India
- CAIR officials are secretly coaching terrorism suspects and witnesses to withhold information from FBI investigators, and have successfully obstructed at least one investigation in Maryland
- CAIR is donating thousands of dollars to the legal defense fund of a Muslim cop killer
- CAIR’s visitor logs show the father of an al-Qaida terrorist visited CAIR director Nihad Awad several months before he was convicted of plotting to assassinate President Bush (By the way, “assassin comes from the Arabic meaning the same thing, so this behavior goes way back to the all-the-time ‘bad old days’)
- Curiously, the logs do not register any guests around September 11, 2001 – in fact, the entire month of September is blank.
- CAIR has cultivated Muslim moles inside a Washington-area law enforcement agency, including one who illegally accessed FBI records to tip off a terrorist under investigation and another with ties to Pakistani intelligence.
- A longtime CAIR advisory board member and top fundraiser has preached violent insurrection, including calling on street gangs to lead an “Uzi” jihad in America’s cities.
- Another imam who CAIR frequently books to speak at its events has exhorted Muslims to hijack U.S. military aircraft, including C-130s transporting the elite 82nd Airborne paratroopers out of Fort Bragg – which happens to be part of the district represented by North Carolina state senator Larry Shaw, who this year (2009) over the reins of CAIR as its new chairman.
- CAIR is putting books into neighborhood libraries across the country advising men to BEAT THEIR WIVES (but only ‘lightly’) – when they disobey.
Well there’s a lot more, but that’s all for now.
Have I said that I support any Islamic website either Beth? Hatred and intolerance is hatred and intolerance no matter where it comes from. Beth you wouldn't know an antisemite if it dropped on your head. You are much too busy practicing hatred. Since I haven't brought anything remotely Jewish into this conversation that would indicate whether I support a) the Jewish people or b) the State of Israel, it is pretty rich for you people to make such an assumption. Would it be too much to ask for a reasonable argument, not one based on hysteria? What a ridiculous bunch you people are. Need anymore string and tinfoil?
What is uncalm about that Pam. I see complete hysteria all afternoon. GM seems to have been extremely busy. What you people promote is hatred. If someone disagrees with you, they are called an anti-Semite, even though there was no mention made of Israel, the Jewish people, nothing. As for angry people, each and every time I see your posts and those of your friends, it is like a feeding frenzy. It doesn't matter if it is complete fabrication, it doesn't matter to you if it has nothing to do specifically with anything Muslim but as said many times, the disproportionate representation of Mideastern/Muslim faces as the "faces of global terrorism", it doesn't matter that you can't even refute someone's point and refers to completely different data, if it is against any of your preconceived notions, they are anti-Semite.
It is like the self congratulatory club where there is no room for discussion, but mob mentality to the nth. My point now and then was that it is wrong to disproportionately represent any group. it doesn't matter whether they are Jewish, Christian, White, Black. It is wrong to erroneously post something that does nothing but give a pulpit for people like you to spout off bigoted, hateful commentary. if you don't get that by now, there isn't much hope. As said, it isn't about Islam (I don't give a fig's leaf about it) the point is you seem to have no problem participating in the type of mentality that the German people had pre-Holocaust.
Are you under the impression that Islam is a peaceful, benign political ideology?
Is it okay to feel hatred toward those who believe in hate, live in hate and die in hate as Islamists so often do?
You seem to ignore the fact that I said that I do not hate Muslims, that there are Muslims who are good human beings, because they either don't know or disbelieve or ignore the hate-filled political, triumphalist, totalitarian IDEOLOGY of Islam that literally commands Islamists to kill those who don't believe or don't pay protection money.
I do admitedly hate and want to expose those parts of ISLAM that call for the murder of non-Muslims. I believe people SHOULD know, and too many don't understand the risks involved, as well as the deceit on the part of those Islamists who are given permission to lie to non-Muslims in order that they let down their guard.
Can you give me some idea that you have read this and you understand what I'm saying?
LILY --- Some of us Sixties people who lived through the best of times and some of the worst of times, has a hard time giving up. I have to say that you are either "very" religious or "very" naive. Down deep, I don't think you are either. As I leave this post, before my blood pressure explodes, I am leaving you with GRAPHIC IMAGES of the Boston Marathon.
It is very hard for me to see my fellow citizens in this much pain for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT TERRORISM. I WILL NOT TOLERATE SEEING ANY MORE. Lily T. (8)
Monday July 8, 2013, 8:06 pm
Again Beth, is there a problem with reading comprehension? Aside from the blatant plagiarism evidenced here, the complete disregard to any facts, I have no interest in having a discussion with a mob about religion. I care as much about Islam, as I do Judaism, Christianity, etc., which amounts to essentially nothing. I do not believe any religious governance is good governance. I do though believe in the freedom of religious expression
I have a problem when there is a gross misrepresentation of a religious-based population, depicting solely Middle Eastern/Muslim terrorists as the "global face of terrorism", completely ignoring any statistical data. I have a problem when people either a) lack the ability to actually confirm or refute someone's posted data (in other word look at a report posted on the website for the actual data the person posted) or b) are so lazy that they can't be bothered before chirping off to actually present themselves as some voice of truth. When we wonder why they hate us, I won't have to look to far, will I? I made no mention of the stateof Israel, nor the Jewish people, aside from attempting to demonstrate this practice would be wrong for any demographic population, yet due to my criticism am called an anti-Semite. So if anyone doesn't agree with your portrayal of Muslims or disagrees with anything you post regarding them, we automatically are anti-Semites, even if Judaism nor Israel was part of the conversation? Is the problem that I posted FBI statistical data demonstrating that between 1980 - 2005, there was more American domestic Jewish acts of terror than Islamic acts of terror? This is a fact, undisputed. With that said, both groups had a relatively low percentage of acts of terror in comparison to other groups. This was not to paint Jews terrorists. It was to demonstrate that it is a lie to do the same to Muslims.
The usual practice seems to post some article from some bottom feeding website and then let the games begin. There is no attempt to discuss; and God help anyone who disagrees with your narrow minded bigoted view of the world, debate or even stay on topic. It serves nothing, but to give license and dutch courage to intolerant and bigoted people.
My point and my sole point was that the ad campaign misrepresents what is termed so quaintly as the "global faces of terrorism". I am not entering into a religious discussion. I care as much about Islam as I do about Christianity, Judaism, Taoism, etc. Just so you understand, since there seems to be a comprehension problem, I do not care about religion. I do not think religious based governance is good governance. I do though have a problem when an article like this is posted, just giving license to bigotry and hate. Do you think demonizing people who practice a faith you don't like will build bridges rather than walls?
The offensive comments are obviously borne from fear. Fear though is a direct by-product of ignorance. People who take their faith seriously, whether they be Muslim, Christian or Jewish and to post comments like those above are detrimental to peace. It seems that what you and your friends wish is to wipe those who practice Islam right off of the face of the earth. So rather than just demonize them, why not just come out and say it. You aren't fooling anyone.
Michaela,
Even though the others apparently aren't on Care2 right now, I feel very sure I can speak for them in saying that we agree with you, and that we feel so bad that you've been fighting this awful battle alone. I know very well the frustration of dealing with people who either truly don't understand or don't want to understand what this is about or they'll go to great lengths to try to weasel out of the truth. There are plenty in each category.
Michaela, I tried to friend you and I believe some of the others did, too. Hopefully you'll go to your message box and see our friend invites. I also gave you my personal email address if we should lose contact on Care2.
I am so sorry to hear that you are not well. I can definitely relate to the high blood pressure issue, the frustration and exasperation. You probably -- like the rest of us -- tried to fight this alone, and it can take so much out of you. But we are here for you. We are stronger together, to fight the lies, and to come to each others' side so that we don't feel alone.
We are a group of caring, nice, good people of different colors, religions, non-religions, sexual proclivities and so on. We all understand quite well the threat. We care what is happening to this world -- on many levels, the blanket of darkness that is descending, not that unlike it did during pre-WWII times, and we are trying our best to let people know, to educate them about what this sickness, Islam, is.
We hope you don't go but join us. You have read some of the same books I and others have. We care, too, very, very much.
Please at least accept our friendship and be in touch to support you.
In the meantime, God should give you much strength and a complete and speedy healing from all of your woes.
Michaela - How many drugs did you actually do in the 60s. I am not religious at all. I have made it pretty clear what my objections are and they aren't about religion. My objections lie with the completely inaccurate representation of the "global faces of terrorism". It serves nothing, but promotes hatred. When you wonder why they hate us, you can think of this thread. My other objection is that all this appears to be is to give license to allow people to vent their intolerance and bigotry. In some countries, this would qualify as hate speech. I would suggest that if anyone on this thread is not American, or in a country that almost absolutely allows for any type of speech, to perhaps weigh their words. Even though this is an American site, if your country has comprehensive legislation against hate speech, you can still be charged. This Michaela, is a response to all posters. I am not suggesting that your speech qualifies as hate speech, nor any specific individual. There are some pretty hateful, demonizing posts up there though.
Do you think that I support terrorism Michaela? Do you actually think that Muslims are just sitting at home, thrilled by it? Do you think when we kill their families, their friends, demolish their villages in the great war on terror and then just to top it off, we demonize them, they are going to view us in a good light? When we fly over countries we aren't at war with and drop missiles via video game on their heads, not caring to even know their name, is going to make them love us? We have done nothing but strut around, claiming American exceptionalism, refusing to abide by any International law, but demand that they follow it. We have the nerve to say "they hate us for our freedoms" failing to acknowledge our role in the plight? We call out, come "Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free", yet hold everything dear to them in contempt. "You reap what you sow" is certainly applicable here.
Do you actually think that terrorism is owned by radicalized Islam? The statistics don't bear this out. In addition, all religions have their extremist faction that distort and malign in order to fulfill a personal or political agenda. Every counterterrorism expert states the same thing. Terrorism is essentially a result of political upheaval. Most terrorists are recently converted to some extreme group online. It isn't the people who have faithfully attended their mosque for their whole lives that are committing the lion's share of terrorism in America. It doesn't help when the FBI recruits those who fall wayside of the community with informants and essentially talks them into committing an act of terror to the point of even suggesting the targets, buying the equipment and encouraging them all the way. It has been demonstrated that the majority of these "terrorists" caught by the FBi, have been approached this way. They tend to have mental or psychological problems and often are dragged into the plot. These people, without the help of the FBI, would never have been able to pull off a terrorist attack.
Michaela,
I'm sure you've probably run into people like this before. This one is particularly tenacious and obnoxious as well as delusional. (Also loves to hear herself go on ad nauseam.) A number of us thought she was a Care2Causes writer, but now I'm thinking self-righteous, self-hating lefty type, and a bit of a looloo. Also, utterly blind and dumb about Islamic ideology
Hang in there. Be in touch.
Beth - any weaselling out is being one by no one but you. Conveniently dropped your attempt to refute my post about terrorism. Of course you would speak for everyone, I wouldn't expect it any different. You seem to have a tough time with comprehension as you keep on attempting to attribute your mistakes and errors on others. Wouldn't want you on jeopardy with me. If we put a ad up with all African Americans and wrote "the faces of murderers", would you have a problem with it? How about a row of convicted Catholic priests and we put down "the faces of pedophelia"? You okay with that one? It seems though, even though statistics refute what the ad implies, you have no problem doing it do another demographic population. That is the freaking problem Beth. I am sure you go around saying in public that you aren't a bigot, but your posts certainly makes one question that.
Now Bethie. Where is there any hysteria in my response Bethie. Having another upside down, inside out kind of days???
Beth considering you still haven't acknowledged your huge error when attempting to correct my posts about terrorism, I wouldn't be calling anyone dumb. As for Islam, again I told you I have no interest in Islam nor any other religion except when people go out and post propaganda based on BOTTOM FEEDER BLOGS, attempting to demonize people with outright lies. As for ad nauseam, pretty funny when I look up at the complete crazed posts all day (don't have days to sit on Care2, do they let you have that much internet time at the home?)
Lily, you've almost been a good girl, and if you really do wonder about the veracity of accusations I've copied into this thread, I can tell you that they came from a book called, "The Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America" by P. David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry. I recommend highly that you read it, as it would answer many of your questions.
One more interesting note, that as this is about CAIR, CAIR is trying to sue Gaubatz and Sperry, not for disputing the accuracy of the data in the book, but about the legality of how it came into their hands.
We'll patronizing Beth. Since know one check the veracity of your comments as you fail to cite them, which consists of plagiarism, it is kind of hard to do. Knowing though just from the commentary, it isn't coming from anything other than blogwasteland where people rake in the bucks while people like you actually support their "research"
Beth anything from the WND doesn't count as being credible. It is not research, it is junk. These are the people I speak of when I say they take your money willingly. When was the last time you actually read something that was credible, vetted and published in a top tier peer reviewed publication? I won't wait for your response, because I am pretty sure your answer is NEVER.
I also see that you didn't take the advice you gave to Michaela. Kind of like America, do as I say, but not as I do.
Girls, looks like Lily can't read or wilfully misunderstands and can only accuse of vitriol and lies. No response to any of my links such as anti-CAIR or to any other. If Lily doesn't like something then like all other Muslim supporters they are hate sites or liars. Of course exposing Muslims and Islam with the truth has to be hateful - to the Muslims.
Lily has also missed out on the point. If the most wanted happen to be Muslims then why should they not be shown to the public? I doubt that she would be making a fuss if they were Italians, Christians, atheists, Germans, Jews, Israelis or even Russians thereby showing reverse racism. Nor has she offered any relevant evidence to my questions. It seems the more that Lily is shown the truth the nastier she gets and then accuses to deflect.
Lily, answer the questions that I have asked you.
jeeze.
cat fighting aside, looking back i think it's bs to be pissed off that the top terrorists fall into one ethnic group. this is like asking nypd to not mention any racial info on radio calls or apb's. so if a white dude robs my auntie, in her neighborhood, they will say what? we're looking for a guy in a black hoodie, jeans, and a white t-shirt. so then every black dude in a hoodie, jeans, and tee can get stopped and frisked i guess, but none of them REALLY fit the description. so in this case, we didn't profile, and her friends and neighbors get their rights violated.
so the terror thing is like that. look not at how much of the population the group is, but how much terror or just ordinary crime they do (WAY out of proportion with population%). and as beths list above shows, most victims are mohammedans. stupid racists being pc (the white-hooded brother of racism) don't care. if it happens to anyone browner than their lily-white a@@ it just really never happened at all. you couldstop it if you could talk about it in racial terms, but typical of pc they just refusebecause it might OFFEND someone. well i'm offended that folks're dying daily. hell in the uk they refused to talk even when it WAS white girls getting sex-traded. but poor white girls don't matter so much either i guess.
Cousin, in the UK it was the girls who were at fault, they were gullible so that allowed the perverts to use and abuse them. Now, because the perverts were Muslims the authorities were not allowed to investigate or accuse. The girls asked for help and were rebuffed for being white (we don't have white trash grades but the authorities regarded them as such) and this was totally allowable because you couldn't put out a list of wanted paedophiles who were MUSLIM. So they were able to continue unopposed for many years and it wasn't just one gang, there were many. These girls will never really recover and justice for them did not happen even though the perpetrators were sent to prison. I am truly disgusted and appalled that these girls were so let down.
You are quite right, this is what Lily and Lloyd are quite happy to allow it to happen just as long as it doesn't happen to their families. I wonder how loud their screeches would be if it did........
In England, Wales, and Scotland, the Public Order Act 1986 prohibits, by its Part 3, expressions of racial hatred, which is defined as hatred against a group of persons by reason of the group's colour, race, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origins. Section 18 of the Act says:
A person who uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or displays any written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting, is guilty of an offence if—
(a) he intends thereby to stir up racial hatred, or
(b) having regard to all the circumstances racial hatred is likely to be stirred up thereby.
Offences under Part 3 carry a maximum sentence of seven years imprisonment or a fine or both.[6]
The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 inserted Section 4A into the Public Order Act 1986. That part prohibits anyone from causing alarm or distress. Section 4A states:
(1) A person is guilty of an offence if, with intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, he— (a) uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, or (b) displays any writing, sign or other visible representation which is threatening, abusive or insulting, thereby causing that or another person harassment, alarm or distress.
A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale or to both.[7]
The Racial and Religious Hatred Act 2006 amended the Public Order Act 1986 by adding Part 3A. That Part says, "A person who uses threatening words or behaviour, or displays any written material which is threatening, is guilty of an offence if he intends thereby to stir up religious hatred." The Part protects freedom of expression by stating in Section 29J:
Nothing in this Part shall be read or given effect in a way which prohibits or restricts discussion, criticism or expressions of antipathy, dislike, ridicule, insult or abuse of particular religions or the beliefs or practices of their adherents, or of any other belief system or the beliefs or practices of its adherents, or proselytising or urging adherents of a different religion or belief system to cease practising their religion or belief system.
The Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008 amended Part 3A of the Public Order Act 1986. The amended Part 3A adds, for England and Wales, the offence of inciting hatred on the ground of sexual orientation. All the offences in Part 3 attach to the following acts: the use of words or behaviour or display of written material, publishing or distributing written material, the public performance of a play, distributing, showing or playing a recording, broadcasting or including a programme in a programme service, and possession of inflammatory material. In the circumstances of hatred based on religious belief or on sexual orientation, the relevant act (namely, words, behaviour, written material, or recordings, or programme) must be threatening and not just abusive or insulting.[8]
The Football Offences Act 1991 (amended by the Football (Offences and Disorder) Act 1999) forbids indecent or racialist chanting at designated football matches.[9]
Obviously GM you don't get it. I have stated on several instances that my complaint isn't about Islam or Muslim, my objections are clearly to the misleading nature of the ad campaign and the hateful rhetoric you people actually post. So you can keep accusing people of all kinds of things that clearly are untrue. Other than your fellow IB, people can read and come to their own conclusions. See, they aren't the sheeple, likewhat has been demonstrated on this thread.
llegal Hate Content
Inciting hatred
In England and Wales it can be an offence to stir up hatred on the grounds of:
Race
Religion
Sexual Orientation.
(There is no similar offence relating to disability or transgender)
Other offences
The content of a website can also be illegal when it threatens or harasses a person or a group of people. If this is posted because of hostility based on race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or transgender then we consider it to be a hate crime.
Illegal material could be in words, pictures, videos, and even music and could include;
messages calling for racial or religious violence
web pages with pictures, videos or descriptions that glorify violence against anyone due to their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or because they are transgender.
chat forums where people ask other people to commit hate crimes
Terrorist material
If material promotes terrorism you should report it via the dedicated portal via the Directgov website here.
Websites from outside the United Kingdom
The Supreme Court has indicated that an offence is committed where the person posts or controls the material in this country. Therefore, much material that can be viewed in the UK is outside the jurisdiction of our courts. The USA, for instance does not have offences of inciting racial hatred but if someone inside the UK posts on a foreign site then that could still be illegal here. (The person posting is always responsible for their content and web hosts could be if they, for instance, encourage or knowingly allow it to remain)
Considering you had difficulty reading data, clearly identified on an FBI website, I think the one lacking education would be you. The funny thing with education, once you actually get one, you can actually discern between what is a credible source that utilizes proven data and the kind of stuff you post.
I think you have a serious problem comprehending anything. I don't know how many times I have stated the same thing, that my argument is the clear misrepresentation the ad campaign partakes in, not islam. I have no intention of getting into a argument with people who disregard facts and base their ideology and nothing but inflammatory rhetoric.
I think that you and your friends, Beth, are the biggest inciter of hatred in the world and i am not making that statement lightly.
Lily, I hate to disagree with you, but the liberal writers for Care2 and the way they portray Terrorist on this site is enough to make anyone raise their hackles. First of all CAIR is listed on US Federal agencies as the largest undocumented terrorist group in America. Then the IRS delays, denies or deletes Conservative action groups but immediately gives CAIR who list Hamas as one of their principle allies their tax free status.
CAIR should be band from the US and who ever allow the CAIR people into the White House should also be expelled immediately.
It seems that a lot of you are very uneducated. Are you saying that every Muslim is part of the CAIR? I agree that the CAIR has done some wrong things, but it would be really dumb to blame a whole religion because of what they have done. There are a lot of bad people who claim to be of the Islamic religion, but are you trying to tell me that all Christians are good. And before you say that our Quran has violent verses, I want to see some proof. It is cowardice to hide behind a computer screen and insult our religion without any proof.
Why are you drawing the conclusion or that you think we are that every Muslim is part of CAIR?
Who is blaming a whole religion because of CAIR.
Who says all Christians are good?
You want to see proof of what? That there are violent verses in the Qur'an?
