High levels of nitrates in drinking water are associated with blue baby syndrome, a condition that reduces babies' ability to carry sufficient oxygen in the blood. Nitrates also cause excessive algae growth in waterways, suffocating aquatic life.

Yes...thank you! I agree...Factory farming isn't good for anyone except the people it's making rich. It's effects on the rest of us...people and animals and the whole planet is nothing but destructive and not at all the way it should be. People need to open their eyes. They're just so set on not having to think about anything that makes them uncomfortable, but we all need to realize this is causing a lot more than discomfort to all.
