A very prominent, well-read Egyptian magazine that is highly circulated in the Middle East - Rose El-Youssef - is acknowledging that Huma Abedin, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's closest adviser, is indeed tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and likely a

Thank you, Gillian. This is really serious stuff, and there quite a few smoking guns on this one that should give everyone pause in this country.

Remember the OBJECTIVES of the Muslim Brotherhood are the same as those of Al Qaeda.

The only substantial difference is that Al Qaeda is using violence now to achieve it's objectives and the Muslim Brotherhood does think the time to use violence is quite right YET. In other words, the Muslim Brotherhood believes, as does the tenets of Islam, that violence is a perfectly legitimate way to achieve a global Caliphate, however it believes that it can accomplish much more by changing government, academia, the media, etc., from the INSIDE.

Certainly CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which is the Muslim Brotherhod's American legal arm, has made major strides in this area.

Remember, too, that the motto of the Muslim Brotherhood is:

"Allah is our objective;
the Quran is our law,
the Prophet is our leader;
Jihad is our way;
and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations

The Islamic infiltration of our government is progressing nicely for the Muslims - and that means bad news for those who value free speech and the American way of life. She is acting well, even marrying a Jew, taking one for the team to advance Islam.

I hope the day comes soon when our government wakes up, calls Islam out on its world domination goal, and kicks out these terrorist Muslims from our government, law enforcement and education systems.

Rahman, with your Muslim background, you are a valuable source of information on the teachings and workings of Islam and trying to educate people as to the threat it is to all we hold dear in the West.

We share your hope that one day the US government, and all Western governments, will wake up to the threat and the subversion that is now taking place even inside of our own countries, but this will never happen as long as Mr. Obama is in the White House, which means 4 more years of wide open doors to these enemies of freedom and tolerance. So sad. And so scary!

"The magazine started as a cultural and literary publication by Rose al Yusuf, but became a political magazine by 1928. It had since lost its independence, functioning as a mouthpiece for the Hosni Mubarak regime prior to Mubarak's ouster from the presidency. Like other government propaganda sources, the magazine is now adopting a tone more in line with the general anti-Mubarak sentiment."

Another "brilliant" source of crap.

"Critics such as Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for Council on American-Islamic Relations have questioned Shoebat's background story, along with others like him, saying they "belong to an 'industry' that is often perpetuated by fundamentalist Christians" and aren't former Muslim terrorists.[5]
Skeptics [11] have also questioned why Shoebat has been able to retain his US citizenship if it is true that he was involved in acts of terror.[5]
The Jerusalem Post states that Shoebat has profited from his story that he was formerly a Muslim terrorist, but has rejected Islam for Christianity.[4] When the Post asked Shoebat whether the Walid Shoebat Foundation is a registered charity, he said that it was registered in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania State Attorney's office said it had no record of such a charity. When asked again, Shoebat claimed it was registered under a different name, but that he was not aware of the Foundation's registered name, nor any other details, which were known only to his manager. Dr. Joel Fishman of the Allegany County Law Library in Pennsylvania expressed doubts about Walid Shoebat Foundation's donation process. He noted that if the money were being given to a registered charity, the charity would have to make annual reports to the state and federal government.[4]
On July 13, 2011, CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360" reported an investigative piece into Walid Shoebat's claim to authority based on being a former terrorist. The report found that according to Israeli government officials, the bank that Walid Shoebat claimed to have attacked, and his own relatives, no record of his supposed terrorist history existed. A two-week prison term in an Israeli jail, another of Shoebat's claims was also unsubstantiated, with Israel having no record he was ever jailed. His cousin, interviewed in the report, stated that he had never known Shoebat to have ties to any movement, and that his claims of being a former terrorist were "for his own personal reasons".[2]
Concerning his time in jail which CNN reported it could not confirm, Shoebat wrote:
2) Even if Mr. Griffin did check prison records, he was searching the wrong name. Had CNN examined our records that were offered to them, it will prove beyond doubt that Mr. Griffin made an error. When Mr. Shoebat was arrested he turned in his U.S. passport and not his birth certificate or I.D. card. His U.S. passport had a different last name."

So Walid Shoebat and a known propagandist magazine undercover Huma Abedin's ties to the "Muslim Brotherhood" which wasn't discovered by the Secret Service, FBI or any other governmental organization. That Walid shouldn't be blogging, he should be working for the government> I am sure that he could have prevented 9/11 with his deep ties to all evil plots designed to undermine America.

Give me a break. Would it be possible to EVER post anything that isn't ridiculous or do they sell drivel disguised as News in the UK? Absolutely ridiculous. Now we have Stan chiming in on Chuck Hagel because he isn't crazy enough of a Republican? Stuff like this is what is wrong with the world. Let's demonize anyone and everyone, even if the "news" is perpetuated by a known fraud. Crap like this is more dangerous than the Muslim Brotherhood.

They want to create a Bridge for us to understand Islam. We don't need a bridge , unless it sends all back home to the lands that Allah gave to your people. I am glad that you feel so honoured Beth.
As for Bob M., poster of 4 consecutively items, one right after another, I think that Lee H. should maybe direct his imbalanced comments towards Bob M. as it seems a little tad obsessive to post in the manner he did. Unlike Bob M., some people actually have a life and don’t sit on Care2 all day to attempt to goad someone into responding immediately. It is a public forum; let’s not get a little too carried away.
As for apologies, certainly I hope Beth didn’t feel threatened and if she did I certainly apologize. I was making a point about how people like Beth are accusing Huma Abedin of being some kind of plant. I was making a point saying this could be applied to anyone. We can all make assumptions about people, like Beth and her friends have done with Huma Abedin based on the words of Walid Shoebat. Again Beth, I apologize if you felt threatened. It wasn’t made to threaten you and I am pretty sure that you are able to take care of yourself without Frick and Frack defending your honour.
What is imbalanced is to demonize a population based on actions of few, making accusatory inferences regarding an American citizen who by all accounts is a patriotic, hard working public servant and to paint a whole faith based religion 1.2 billion people practice as evil based on the words of racists, such as Walid Shoebat (whose whole family also discredits him – except his son) or Pamela Geller. In regard to “old man” Bob and 66 year old Lee, I must say, their posts reek more of early adolescence and immaturity than age and wisdom.

It's important to research the potential agenda of news sources. The source of this posting is Walid Shoebat, who is a propagandist at best. He is a self-affirmed Zionist who supported by neo-con Frank Gaffney. (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Walid_Shoebat). Journalist Chris Hedges, amongst others, has exposed Shoebat's agenda. A 2008 article by Hedges speaks to Shoebat and others: https://www.truthdig.com/report/item/20080211_the_war_against_tolerance

I think this article about Huma Abedin's immediate ties in her own family to powerful positions in the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as the category of the Islamic allowance of "MURUNA" helps elucidate the disturbing and growing probability that she is what is being claimed.

Give the article a read and consider the implications:

"Republican congressional representatives requested "that no Muslim Brotherhood-associated entity or individual [be] placed into a position of honor or trust within the programs and operations of the Department of State unless he or she has publicly condemned and disclaimed the previously stated goals of the Muslim Brotherhood." At no time did these congressional representatives imply that Huma Abedin, Deputy Chief of Staff for the State Department, was "part of a nefarious conspiracy."

Monday, Walid Shoebat published this 37-page booklet entitled "Proof: Huma has Ties to Muslim Brotherhood -- Countless Documents Surface" and this was followed up with Tuesday's update that "Huma Abedin Served on Board with Al-Qaeda Godfather". Shoebat states that the latest discoveries "include but are not limited to "[p]roof that Hillary Clinton's Deputy Chief of Staff, Huma Abedin served on the Board of IMMA from at least 12/02/02 - 9/24/08" and that "Al-Qaeda Godfather Abdullah Omar Naseef served on IMMA's Advisory Board from at least 12/02/02 - 12/03/03."

Is this not sufficient to vindicate Michele Bachmann's very reasonable concerns?

Besides extensively citing all of Huma Abedin's family connections to the Muslim Brotherhood and Muslim Sisterhood, Shoebat maintains that "[n]either Huma Abedin, Hillary's aid [sic] or any major western media even mention what is common knowledge in the Arab circles regarding Hassan Abedin, [and] his connections or activities." Hassan is Huma's brother.

Why the virtual silence?

Abedin's brother had a strong working relationship with Abdullah Omar Naseef and Yusuf Qaradawi. Naseef "chaired other entities considered major security concerns for the United States and ran a charity front for terror." There is no "six degrees of separation" among these men as has been maintained by the mainstream media. Central to Shoebat's investigation are the overlapping ties of Abdullah Omar Naseef to a number of Muslim Brotherhood offshoots. One such group WAMY or World Assembly of Muslim Youth maintains that "[t]he Jews are humanity's enemies: they foment immorality in this world."

Saleha Abedin, Huma's mother, through the Sisterhood branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, works to advance the Brotherhood agendas against Western interests and policies. In his report, Shoebat shows the interlocking tentacles among various Muslim Brotherhood members which leave "no doubt that the Muslim Brotherhood is the author and the one setting policies and standards for the International Islamic Committee for Woman and Child (IICWC), which Saleha Abedin chairs. IICWC's 'official policies include marital rape, child marriage, female genital circumcision and polygamy.'"

Yet, Senator John McCain "lambastes five members of the House who are actually serious about addressing threats that the Brotherhood poses to American interests" and Rep. Keith Ellison's indignation toward Bachmann is rather hypocritical considering his own ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

In 2010, Huma arranged for Secretary of State Clinton to speak alongside her mother, Saleha at Dar Al-Hikma. In fact, the "Saudi newspaper Al-Watan mentions that Abedin's relationship with Huma was key to bringing Clinton to Dar Al-Hikma. Most revealing is that in 2010, and from 2006-2008, evidence shows that the Abedin membership in IMMA was as a family. According to Arab sources, IMMA or the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs was founded by Abdullah Omar Naseef, and the Abedins were entrusted with leading IMMA. Saleha, Huma, and Hassan Abedin all appeared as members together. Although Huma's name seems to have been scrubbed, Shoebat has a screen shot that clearly shows that Huma worked and partnered together with her family at IMMA.

Central to the controversy surrounding Huma Abedin is the notion of muruna which, in the Islamic world, is permitting behavior normally shunned by sharia law just as long as it benefits the long term goal of ensuring a global caliphate. It is a means of mollifying Westerners who think that they are now seeing a more moderate version of Islam but in effect it is a ruse. Thus, even though Huma Abedin is a practicing Muslim married to a Jew, neither her mother nor brother denounced this marriage.

Most Westerners are not familiar with the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood revival of the doctrine of muruna, which literally means "stealth" or "flexibility." It is "far worse than taqiyya, since it sanctions all prohibitions that block Muslim interests, even blasphemous ones. Muruna allows Muslims to sow division and confusion in the Western world" and is a strategy of deception.

After going into great length about the Muslim Brotherhood connections of the Abedin family, Shoebat maintains that "the burden of proof is on McCain to show that Huma was vetted and does not present a threat to National Security." Shoebat states that he has provided ample proof for Huma's involvement, ties and relationship with members of the Muslim Brotherhood and "that the organization to which her family belong was founded with the help of Al-Qaeda Godfather Abdullah Omar Naseef." In fact, Shoebat maintains that "Bachmann is correct with respect to screening and vetting government employees."

In her 16-page letter to Rep. Keith Ellison, Bachmann maintains that the U.S. government considers the foreign influence of immediate family members as "potentially disqualifying conditions for obtaining a security clearance" and "to raise issues about a highly-based U.S. Government official with known immediate family connections to foreign extremist organizations is not a question of singling out Ms. Abedin. In fact, these questions are raised by the U.S. Government of anyone seeking a security clearance." This is standard fare in government background checks. Thus, "reasonable fear of 'divided loyalties' is more than sufficient for a clearance to be denied."

Was Huma Abedin properly vetted? If not, how was she able to avoid being disqualified for a security clearance? If these known and documented family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood would not disqualify someone for a security clearance, what specifically is the standard to be disqualified on foreign influence grounds?

These are legitimate questions and every American has the right to ask and to know the answers.

Shoebat highlights the "lack of screening by our state department" of Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer Ground Zero Mosque Imam Sheikh Feisal Abdul Rauf. This is the same Rauf that states that "the only law that the Muslim needs exists already in the Koran and the Hadith."

Nidal Malik Hassan and Louay Safi are also offered as examples of jihadist sympathizers who received no vetting and who slipped by. Hassan murdered 13 Americans at Fort Hood and Louay Safi is director of ISNA's Leadership Development Center. He has spoken out against various law enforcement raids on Islamic centers.

During an ISNA annual convention, pamphlets featuring "numerous attempts to portray U.S. prosecution of terrorists and terror supporters as anti-Muslim bigotry; dramatic revisionist history that denied attacks by Arab nations and Palestinian terrorists against Israel" were featured items. Steve Emerson says of ISNA that "it is a Muslim Brotherhood group" [which] espouses jihad and anti-Semitism[.]"

Shoebat explains that "Americans have difficulty comprehending that Islamist style terrorism gains familial moral support." Thus, "loyalty comes before justice and lying in unison is a 'modus operandi.'"

Shoebat also highlights Muslim Brotherhood's connections, and the involvement of the Abedin family members with the Nazis. For example, Hassan Al-Banna, the grandfather of Tariq Ramadan, whose ban from the United States was lifted by Bill Clinton, the husband of Huma's boss, collaborated with [Shoebat's] grandfather's associate Haj Amin Al-Husseini, who was also Hitler's Arab henchman.

Al-Husseini became the Muslim Brotherhood leader after the war and Al-Banna and Al-Husseini took great pride in their collaboration with the Nazis. Abdul Hakim Abedin was born in 1914 in Egypt and was one of the first regular ranks of the Muslim Brotherhood who married Imam Hassan Al-Banna's sister.

Those who castigate Congressional representatives Michele Bachmann, Louie Gohmert, Lynn Westmoreland, Trent Franks, and Thomas Rooney should be ashamed.

All Americans should be applauding the actions of these brave representatives who seek answers because "[e]vidence indicates that the Obama administration continues to bow before groups associated with the goal of 'destroying Western civilization from within.'" At a "minimum, an independent inspection regarding the role, the roots and the results of such destructive groups" is mandatory in order to protect all Americans.

That the media has "dropped all pretence of fact-finding and all responsibility for reporting" proves yet again that the fourth estate has become the fifth column in this country. That's why these lone voices are so critical and why Americans must insist upon the proper vetting no matter how high up it has to go. Jihad has no bounds.

That diatribe , I feel, has been very efficiently repudiated by the lengthy (No name attributed) response. However this would never satisfy the Christian extremists, who without any reasonable justification, will vilify anybody associated with President Obama. That being said I wonder why Hilary Clinton would ever wish to have an advisor who was NOT fully qualified in the area of Eastern, and particularly Islamic, operations. Huma Abedin makes a welcome change to the many Americans who have previously served their country overseas not having the foggiest notion of the language, customs and political systems of the countries in which they were supposed to represent America's interests.

MM will defend the right of the Palestinians and the other Muslims to abuse, kill, rape etc any Muslim or non-Muslim. She is passionate about their right to destroy the Western world as well as those in Africa, Indonesia, the Antipodes......

However, when I suggested that she move to a Muslim controlled country so that she could see and thereby fully understand the abuses that women suffer, she didn't seem too keen on that idea. So, it is OK for everyone else to suffer but not her. Double standards & hypocrisy. Guys, don't dignify this inhumane person with a reply.

It's interesting, because I don't feel that has been efficiently repudiated at all. It seems to me that people were more or less shamed into backing down or not supporting getting to the bottom of the facts - another tactic of the PC Left and the Muslim Brotherhood and its American Lawfare project is good at - propagating the use of shaming with the accusation "Islamophobia" to embarrass anyone who legitimately questions and criticizes the tenets of Islam, pressuring the media to stop using the word "Islamist", and a campaign to convince the ignorant that "jihad" means simply an internal struggle, like losing weight.

The problem is people are often too lazy, distracted, apathetic and complacent to scratch beneath the surface to look for the very frightening truth, even when it's ultimately in their best interest. For the liberal media, the truth is far too inconvenient, and besides CAIR's legal goons will certainly get on the backs of the management and the editors, who will and DO fire the subordinates that don't toe the pro-Islamist line. CAIR is quite powerful and growing moreso each passing day.

One more interesting thing, and that is that Sharia absolutely forbids Muslimas to marry non-Muslim men. Doing so carries the death penalty. (Although a Muslim male may marry a non-Muslim woman).

So how is it possible that Huma Abedin marries some Jewish guy, and her powerful Muslim Brotherhood family doesn't utter a peep, and there are no repercussions or criticisms within the Muslim Brotherhood community?

(And just how "real" is this sham marriage of convenience when the husband's so emotionally and sexually unsatisfied and starved for attention that he twitters his bulge in his underpants?)

Muruna. She's a plant, and the normally clear violation of Islamic law has sanctioned what is absolutely forbidden, because it advances the purposes of Islam.

Very plausible for those who care about the truth and the future of this country.

I agree, Carol, patriots and people who stand up for the truth, who value freedom and integrity will save this country.

Oh Boy! Rose El Youssef, which has an even worse reputation for truth in journalism than Cluster Fox News, is quoting as a reliable source Walid Shoebat, a know liar. The only source for Shoebat's supposed radical Islamic religious education is Shoebat and it is denied by his family members who also say he left Bethlehem at age 16. Interesting that the Israeli government has absolutely no record of either his supposed bombing of Bank Leumi or his self claimed two weeks in an Israeli jail. There is also the point that if as Shoebat claims the Israeli government searched the wrong name, Shoebat would have been using a falsified US Passport. This use of a falsified passport and/or his supposed terrorist acts and actvities would have resulted in the immediate revocation of his US Citizenship assuming that he would have been granted citizenship in the first place. There is also the problem that if Shoebat is actually running a non-profit, and not just another of the many for profit cottage industry Islamophobic scams, why has Shoebat never filed any of the required yearly State and Federal reports.

Lloyd,

If Shoebat wrote an article that John Adams was the second president of the U.S., was born in 1735, in Massachussetts, was a Unitarian who went to Harvard, you'd say, well Walid Shoebat said, so it can't be true.

Look at the facts about what he says, Lloyd. Try not to be such a bigot, yourself.

Lee, if someone disagrees with the information then they are liars, a hate site or some other form of attack. Just because you disagree with what is said does not make that person a liar.

It is like Pamela Geller, her adverts speak only the truth but they are regarded as hate posters. If anyone has ever read the Koran or the history of Mohammed then they know that love and peace is the last thing Islam is. The others merely leap onto the propaganda band wagon just to look like they are in the know or to look good. None of them will have investigated the truth. The truth is there in the Muslim controlled countries and those where there are a growing percentage. People like Lloyd have never taken on board the fact that the Sudanese Muslims have attempted genocide against Sudanese Christians or that, in other African countries, Christians are being attacked, murdered, abused, raped etc that apostates (converts) are killed for leaving Islam or have acid thrown over them. I can continue but such people are probably tutting and saying that I am an Islamophobe (whatever that is, it is a Muslim Brotherhood word). However, I suspect that these people are either too lazy, tooo stupid or too scared of the truth. Let me remind them that not all Muslims are like that only the ones who follow Islam to the letter.

In the meantime, shutting your eyes to the truth about Abedin and CAIR will not make anyone look more intelligent but merely highlights the fact that they are willing to believe any lie any Muslim tells them in their effort to further Islam and, by doing so, allows it to happen. I bet they will be the first to complain when having to live under Sharia law.

Good points, Gillian and Bob,

The irony is that people like Lloyd are reflexively absolutist on the issue of Islam being above criticism, and in a very real way, it's a deplorable and dangerous kind of prejudice and bigotry.

People with this sort of bigotry, pomposity and a virtual allergic refusal to look at the facts as they are and instead go after the messenger will necessarily not see dangerous things coming, which puts us all in danger, because he like others of his ilk are very loud and opinionated and influence others with the same prejudicial inclinations.
