It's like Christians saving Jews from the Nazis in World War II.

Not all that surprising!
They are first & foremost HUMAN BEINGS - not a different species - and are very conscious of the atrocities that Daesh is capable of. They may not be able to do MUCH - but what they can, they do.

We have so much in common, irrespective of religious or race. There can be differences in traditions, cultural behaviour, but this is on the surface. And most of the differences can enrich wider society - rubbing off "rough edges", encouraging questioning of traditions & adapting where these don't fit 21st century knowledge & reality ... and sharing what makes sense &/or enhances community

The Abrahamic traditions all call for helping the vulnerable amongst us, so it would be expected they would similarly help. Thanks Glenn

Muslims and Christians have a similar problem: Just a few of them can give their entire creed a black eye. For Muslims, it's Islamic State/Da'esh and the Taliban; for Christians, it's the KKK, Operation "Rescue" and the Westboro Baptist Church.

Natasha - I don't believe it's the religion that does harm - it is what people DO in the "name" of religion. The warp is in those who abuse (for their own interests - to feel superior, to feel "chosen", or - worse - to build power over other believers) the spirit of religion.

Joette - Trump "hates" what does not serve his interests. Look how he loved the Muslim Saudis when he visited them!! (Well, he loved the leaders who pandered to his ego ...) ...

But within the US, not many Muslims have BIG money, power, influence - so they are "safe" as objects of hate. Blacks & Native Americans also are "safe" objects whose rights can be trampled with relative impunity. Jews present more problem - turning them into objects of hate is a dangerous game despite the fact that his white supremacist friends would be quite happy ...

I agree with Freya - if I were in a similar situation and could save someone's life by offering some clothing to protect them, I'd do it as well.

💙💜Noted...I agree with Freya. I would give clothing and anything to disguise a person rather than see them slautered. If it was in my power to do so. People are people regardless of their creed. We are all created the same way, we all have red blood and bleed, born the same way. So we have more in common with each other than not. 💙💜Thank you...Glenn.💙💜

There are decent people in every community, religion, country. We must always remember that and not form opinions based on the actions of the extremists.
