Ted belives killing is the solution to control the wild mustang dispite the overwelimg popular opinion that they arn't a problem, but an American icon. To sell them to Japan for food would be like sellng the Statue of Liberty for scrap metal to China.

Wild horse bill insult to rural Americans
Jul 23 09 - 02:21 PM
Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) issued the following statement on the U.S. House of Representatives passage of the “Restore Our American Mustangs Act”:

Washington, D.C. — “The Restore Our American Mustangs Act has an enormous price tag and it’s an insult to rural America. This bill has its priorities wrong. It says wild horses are more important than the people of Wyoming. As our country falls deeper into debt, we must focus on how to get back on track instead of spending another $700 million on government welfare for wild horses.”
