I cant get all of the download but I guess red isn't good? I can also get statuatory protections and privacy enforcement . Not sure what is meant by that in article?

Red is better than black, on that map anyway. But you get used to it. The Electronic Frontier Foundation keeps fighting and a lot of people use encryption, but most people assume that nothing on commercial carriers like phones or the internet is truly private.

There are even ways to take advantage of surveillance. For example, ordinary citizens usually can't get our governments to listen to us. But if we post something publicly, we can assume that it is monitored, which means that they're listening to us when they'd really prefer to ignore us. ;)

Do you support the Libertarian Party? I have a copy of the 'Book of Lists' from about thirty years ago. There was a list of actions various people would take if they were president. What is interesting is that the people invariably stated that the first thing they would do is issue a mandatory national ID card.
