The U.S. military's medical school in Bethesda is drawing criticism from a coalition of physicians and military officers for using live animals in some medical procedures, such as surgeries, a practice many medical schools have long abandoned.

I sincerely hope that this practice is ended as soon as possible. With as big an institution as the Military is, money should not be a problem to obtain other ways to practice procedures. More or less it is just easier and less paper work to deal with and I find these reasons ridiculous and laughable. These animals should NOT have to suffer like this...period.
