Too bad he couldn't do more beforehand, you'd think he had some power.

It wouldn't surprise me if Lennox was killed weeks or even months ago. The BCC abjectly refused to allow the family see their dog? WHY? Because they would have witnessed first hand the cruelty, abuse and neglect the BCC wardens and authorities subjected the dog to. Open sores, a neck injury, and severe emotional stress due to protracted incarceration in a filthy cell and God only knows what else.

The stench of evil has been brewing in Belfast for over two years now. And now the world knows first hand of their fraud and corruption.

I am surprised that the minister himself was completely powerless in this case ...

And good on Prime Minister Robinson Brands, too convenient to have only now taken a position.
Certain that the politicians are the same all the world thought that Italian politicians were the worst liars but I was wrong, they are not alone.
Thank you Barbara and Sara for FW

let's see, they put him down cause he looked like a "pitbull" mix and looked dangerous. ok then does that mean if i come across a bi-racial person and i think their eyes and grin look dangerous to me i get to go get the authories and have him put down? i think alot of the problems with the abusing of animals unfortunatly is that someone sees an animal cross their path and because that "thing" is nothing but skin and bones and has no feeling or caring "it" can do the most horrible of all things and it sounds bad to us because we can not possible understand "it" because we are human.

Psalms 1:5,6 That is why the wicked ones will not stand up in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of righteous ones.
For God is taking knowledge of the way of righteous ones, But the very way of wicked ones will perish.

When the OSPCA (Newmarket, Ontario, Canada) condemned hundreds of animals to death in 2010, a complaint was made to the city council and not only ordered the euthanizing of animals halted (unfortunately not before 110 animals were killed) but he also demanded an investigation where it was found that the OSPCA lied about the reasons behind the mass euthanasia. As an elected official, this councillor did his job.

I believe a thorough investigation by the First Minister into why a dog with absolutely no history of aggression was killed. While a pitbull ban exists (and is being fought) in Ontario, Canada, current owners are ordered to muzzle the dogs rather than have them killed. This should have been the alternative to euthanasia for Lennox.

I find it a hard pill to swallow that the Minster is condemning this after the fact - this has been a bot issue for a while and he could have stepped in and done something. He is responsibile to his constituents and he is neglectful in his duty and twittering after the fact is too suspicious.

there are no bad dogs just bad care givers
as long as any being lives in fear, hate, exploitation and death at the hands of man so shall all men live under this same threat, don't fool yourself no one is free as long as another is oppressed. withdraw your consent for as long as we agree to the small things we have agreed to the big ones, the pebble seems so small but its effects are far reaching
protect life, prosecute those that seek to destroy our shared home and our fellow beings
life has value beyond measure
Peace and Love

Fine words from Peter Robinson he has seen the outcry from the Lennox supporters from all over the world, who were sickened and outraged by the murder of an innocent dog!
WHY did he not do anything before?? His condemnation of the destruction of Lennox comes too late!
His words are now meaningless.

Email sent, petitions signed - yes, P Robinson is a "tad late"? Lennox was eliminated much earlier than they will admit - inundate Belfast freepost address, make them PAY! And BAN BELFAST!
