Noted, what a bunch of crud. We in the US had a simular issue, not a pageant, but a free class that "Boscovs" allow people to do in thier stores. A woman wanted to teach tarot card readings and the people in that State went all crazy saying she was trying to hex and place harm on the good christains, who ironicly were able to have 'their' bible class in her stead.... Its enough to make one sick caused by anger and frustration

It's sad that this much ignorance and hatred is still propagated by "hypo-christians". A couple of their sayings come to mind....
Judge not lest you be judged
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
etc...
And you can't educate some of these morons about what a witch really is. Trying to label us with their beliefs of Satan... But we've been around much, much longer and we have persevered through the centuries. Nobody could ever convince me that my many generations of grandmothers/fathers were bad people.

I feel sorry for people who speak of Wicca
purely out of their ignorance, but that doesn't
make me any less pissed-off at them. I find these
comments to be offensive, as well, and deeply
insulting to me and my faith.
There is nothing "dark" about Wicca, or Tarot.
"Occult" basically means "outside of the mainstream",
but Wicca is outside of the mainstream only because
for centuries it has been portrayed as being dark
and sinister. Again, this has been said out of
people's ignorance.
A rational, emotionless examination of Wiccca
will show it to be a totally bening and beautiful
practice in which all living things are treated
with love and respect, and practitioners of Wicca
seek only to help others through kindness and
compassion.

We all know how tunnelled visioned some people can be and it is because of fear and they are afeared because they have closed minds and no wisdom or understanding of anything different to what they wish things to be. It is absolutely unacceptable - they are definitely farrrrrrrr from the path of wisdom - there is at this point in time nothing we can do to rememdy this foolish decision but the time is coming. As a person who uses her brain, I think the total reputation of so call christianity should be brought into question. I also think the total reputation of the Jewish Zionists should be brought into question. Add to them the reputation of Islam, Latterday saints,and so on down the line, that they all raise their hands FOR WAR,HIDE BEHIND THE ALTER WITH THEIR CHILD ABUSE,SIN IN SO MANY WAYS THAT THE WRITTEN PAGE CANNOT CONTAIN IT ALL!
