For the second time in two months, a bunch of Los Angeles bike advocates calling themselves Crimanimalz took one of the busiest freeways in the world to make the case that, when your freeways are gridlocked, bikes are better. Watch the video!

They sure know how to weave in and out of traffic. I saw some who were even on skates. Thanks Julie.

VERY cool! Thanks, Julie!

I wonder how many of the people in the cars they passed noticed the fact that the Crimanimals weren't spending any money on gas?

Personal transportation shouldn't have to rely on fossil fuels. For those who have to commute long distances, and for inclement weather, we need good public transportation.

We've been using cars and freeways for decades. Why haven't we figured out that when everyone wants to get somewhere quickly, nobody gets there quickly? In most major cities, "rush" hour traffic looks exactly like a parking lot with cars stacked bumper to bumper and rarely moving at all.

If that's the solution, what was the problem? ;)

Peaceful protest + common sense approach = success!
These riders deserve to be commended for their unique method of speaking out on the USA's addiction to Big Oil! Perhaps this type of protests will be seen across America in the future, spreading the word that oft times bicycles are much better means of transport.
I used to ride a bike when I lived in Fla. I peddled to work, shopping, the beach and even the pub! I found it a much easier means of getting around, 'parking' and it helped to keep me fit.
Here in the UK, a lot of folks ride instead of driving or using public transport and hopefully the govt. will address the issue of road allocated to bike riders to make it safer for them and those who drive.
If you rode a bike, you'd be home by now, a message who's time has come. :D

Thanx Julie for this video and inspiration to ride a bike.

Since I can't ride a bike (balance problems) and don't drive a car (money & environmental issues) I'm a firm believer in public transportation. Nevertheless, I believe the bike is the most efficient vehicle ever produced by human beings and really, really got off on the video. Thank You Julie!

I love it. I love to see how people promulgate the friendly to environment lifestyle. This way looks rather dangerous but so impressive and convincing! Thanks for posting.
