A video is circulating on-line of the slow murder of this minor, Kurdish female. Amnesty International apparently brought this story to light. Security personnel stood by while the teen ager was tortured to death.

As a mere male I can only conclude that these atrocities make one wonder about the human species. To see a whole gathering of guys with not one having the courage to say "no" is a tragedy. These religious zealots have some twisted value systems but the so many regimes are little better. India, China are but two of the countries leading the World in trade and commerce yet they too have ghastly practices with young girls and women. But, again, my appeal is that we don't just talk among ourselves but rather use the Internet to take the battle into the wider arena. As an old campaigner I look back on years where we tended to talk within groups but never really broached and educated the wider community. With the Internet at our fingertips we now have the answer to spreading the word far and wide. Let's resolve to do it!

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM TRYING TO FIGHT.I SEE NO DIFFERENCE IN THE CASTRATION OF MEN AND WOMEN AS STONING THEM. ITS ALL SO BARBARIC HOW COULD ONE PARTICIPATE IN IT????? i WISH THE MUSLIM MEN WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE THEY DO NOT HOLD A WOMAN IN THEIR LIVES AS SACRED. WHAT WILL THEY DO WHEN ALL WOMEN STOP TO FIGHT THIS ALSO?? tHIS IS SO SAD AND SICKENING I WISH I ALONE COULD STOP IT.

As we enter into the second milleneium it is abominable that this is but one incident of the
heinous crimes committed on women everyday across the globe. Here, in the USA, the
majority of citizens go blindly & ignorantly along, as wholesale sex trade where women, often
girls are held as slaves, where clitorectomy is practiced at an alarming rate; even in US hospitals
for the right price for Islamic Doctors. Women & girls are raped & brutalized in every war zone,
not to mention right here at home, especially on college campuses. In China forced abortions
into the last trimester is routinely practiced to keep with their policy of "one child per family."
In India, China, & third world countries infanticide is still practiced against newborn "unwanted'
female babies. I could keep typing for another hour and still go on. As long as women are thought
to be of less value than farm animals, as long as terrorizing & beating one's wife is tolerated,
while the double standard still exists these "incidents," such of this young girl being stoned to
death will go on & on. It is important to geet these stories out into the mainstream press, as
miserable as a state that it is in. Americans need to learn about wholesale torture, rape & murder
of women the world over & contact their Senators & Congressman. American women need to see
that the right to choice of birth control & other rights are slipping away while they are not paying
attention; & that if we are not careful we may turn around & find ourselves losing other rights, we
may fade back 100 years ago, when we did not even have the right to vote.
