Heinous, grotesque, horrific! How do they obtain these poor cats? Rounded up off the streets? Pulled from shelters? Are they bred for this purpose? Were they likely someone's family pet? I would NOT do it and would be fighting for virtual alternatives too. Signed and noted.

DIssecting cats, especially at the high school level, is unnecessary and stupidly cruel. It is also inapplicable. If the school board of Palm Beach County wants something more relevant, then there should be dissection: of Palm Beach County supervisors.

Yes, officials in charge of this travesty do NOT care about animals. In fact, anyone who would sanction this doesn't care about ANYTHING except themselves. I am shocked to have gotten a glimpse of what looked like chicken, but I am glad I scrolled down tooo fast to see what it was. I am sick to my stomach to think that there is a brand of human who could actually DO this and nobody stops them. The cruelty, the evil is just another Auchswitz, and those who both supply the cats (and dogs) to these laboratories are so rotten as humans, that I have no words for them--except that Hitler didn't do anything worse. All I can hope is that the students will finally speak up and demand cadavers to work oo, not cats, and that those guilty of the filth of dissecting animals will be cursed to the point of no return. Damn them to the hilt.

There are very good plastic models to study- killing an animal to create a dissection opportunity is not needed.

How incredibly archaic. What kind of "science" are they teaching that they would put students at a disadvantage by such barbaric and outdated "programs?" Are these poor, third world schools in this district? No modern technology? What about the students who have companion cats and love them? How can they reconcile this ugly, brutal, desensitizing practice? Simply horrendous. Shame on all involved who devised this depraved "curriculum." Poor tortured kitties. Grossly misled students.

They should not be doing this Its unnecessary to have children do medical science I remember when i was at school many moons ago we had to cut up eyes and made me cringe What good did it do me Not the slightest !
How many of these students will end up docters or vets anyway Its ridiculous and cruel and outdated now
Should be stopped altogether
