I cannot believe hunters killed 117 wolves for no reason. How horrible, something needs to be done.

Many thanks to those whom held the vigil, & are attempting to shine a light on the plight of wolves throughout North America.

to make matters worse...only 1 of mine was actually counted in this total... the other 2 were considered "incidental killings" cause they were murdered with traps...only the Wolves killed and tagged were actually counted... now i am going to take a break as i cry

The best memorial would be to find the way to put a stop to further killing of these animals.

Agreed that the wolf is a regal and beautiful animal, but I'm curious where you all live. I live in northern WI, where wolves have played a big part in depleting the deer population and are taking down livestock - where's the vigil for the cows who died by having their udders ripped out?! Wolves have also been spotted in the woods following people who are walking on roads, and it is not the wolf you see that you need to worry about. Hunting tags vary from year to year with bear as well depending on the population and I am curious if this will happen with wolves so things are kept in balance but not overdone.

Oh Roxy i thought about you when i read in the local paper this was takeing place on friday-thankyou for being a sweet kindhearted careing person who cares deeply for these wonderful animals-i feel so bad for the wolves also-some humans just will never get it-lets hope somthing is done so there is no hunt next year-i know today there was an article in the paper about useing dogs in wisconsin to hunt wolves with the hunters-i also find this inexcuseable and cruel to both the wolves and the dogs.

On my story line, i have posted a link, that takes you through some of the counting of the Wisconsin tagging and counting of the Wolf-slaughter... There was more then 100 murdered early on... because of the law written up... Trapping and Legal poaching... many did not have to actually be "counted" and tagged for the wolf count... there was well over 200 more in the 300 range actually killed...in Minnesota,,, Maureen was on the news finally was able to bring National Attention to it... there was so many over the 400 killed in Minnesota.... its just dreadful how many have been slaughtered
Maureen is the Leader of Howling For Wolves, who has been doing Memorials non-stop all year in minnesota... she was my inspiration to come out for my 2nd wolf war...this is the 2nd time i fought wolf wars...the worst one and my wolves died over it...so now i will not stop until we get something done...

as for you lorrie b....you pathetic wolf hater... all i need to say to you is this.. grab some links..and post that story you are trying to say happened..because that is straight up lies...on facebook your fake pictures you all photo-shop to get government hand-outs from the wildlife services on the backs of predator lives may get you attention..but you are sitting on a news server...so all of us want you to prove what your typing... get some links and show us what you say is true..most all of the money the ranchers and farmers have claimed from depredation has been given falsely...my questions to you all is this...when you get done with thrill killling with your shiny guns and getting your thrill from making us enviroment "watermelons" Pay...who are you going to get to pay for a free meal? the wolves and coyotes and bears will all be gone... then what are you going to use as your next victims?

Why the over-reaction to Lorrie B, Roxy? Wolves do kill livestock and lots of game animals and nothing she has said has indicated she hates wolves. Wolves are predators just like bears, cougars, coyotes, and they can have devastating effects on prey animals. You can't really expect a predator in direct competition with humans will not be kept under management, which pretty much means keeping their numbers under control.

Roxy, thank you for showing there are people who truely care about our wolves. To slaughter them, taking so many of them is not the way of Mother Nature. The wolf takes what is weak and sick, leaving the healthy to continue the population of deer and elk.As far as cattle, who investigates when the rich ranchers claim loss of livestock due to predators???Save the wolves, stop the slaughter, mourn the murdered wolves, stop the lying ranchers. Many blessings to you Roxy.
