It is not up to the politicians to say whether a species is endangered or not, is it?

Noted. Politicians should be the endangered species. Then we could delist them and dump them in the sewer system of DC.

II honestly don't think we should be too surprised at this outcome. Imean, there is such a hatred of wolves by many farmers who say they would shoot them, even if it was illegal to do so. They are strong hunters and very strong and domineering. it would be probably a death warrant politically to those who would want to save the wolves. There is just too much political pressure on them. I can see that there deifinitely needs to be a plan of action to try and come up with a really safe method of protecting the famers animals. I mean, being realistic again, they are not all suddenly going to turn vegan! Most of them hate wolves because they are destroying their livelihood. Personally I HATE any form or hunting and killing animals, but I am not directly affected by wolves. I just think that if we keep on PUSHING and PUSHING this issue, somewhere along the line, someone is going to come up with a fool proof way of protecting the livestock, which would take the ground out from under the argument of the people who would kill the wolves. the hubters are too stupid to see that you just can't kill of preditory animals without disastrous consequences for the environment. For us, who are not directly involved, the wolves just seem the most beautiful and wonderful animals that have every right to live on this earth in peace.
