LIES! "Marketplace is supported by Monsanto, committed to sustainable agriculture, creating hybrid and biotech seeds designed to increase crop yields and conserve natural resources."

Hi, Holly! I got a message on this from Organic Consumers and checked via 'search' that it hadn't already been posted, before doing so myself.
So I see it's here and now I'll forward this post to all my friends and try to get maximum exposure and support for this excellent initiative!

Thanks.

I am SOOOoooo glad to see this made it to Front Page!

Just a few ideas of what can be added to the 'editable' (& not edible) letter !
Here are a few excellent 'rebuttal' sources that show that their stupid ( but I won't use that word)journalist didn't do his homework!

And that his fawning-to-Monsanto questions are a disgrace.

If he couldn't come up with any good, pertinent questions, he should have researched the issues and read the article that investigative journalist & Vanity Fair contributing editor James Steele co-authored: Monsanto’s Harvest of Fear; or viewed the 'Democracy Now!' show devoted to it (http://www.democracynow.org/2008/5/6/monsantos_harvest_of_fear);

or watched journalist Marie-Monique Robin's extraordinary documentary film, "The World According to Monsanto"
(reviewed here: http://www.inteldaily.com/?c=172&a=5653;
trailer & clips viewable here: http://www.onf.ca/film/monsanto-trailer/).

and WHY, oh why, he didn't even mention the facts from Vandana Shiva's most recent annual report on the Indian suicide epidemic, called "the Seeds of Suicide": 15Nov2008 - 'SEED MONOPOLIES, GENETIC ENGINEERING AND FARMERS SUICIDES' ? ?

( http://www.navdanya.org/news/25feb09a3.pdf ) -

"An epidemic of farmers’ suicides has spread across four states of India over the last decade. According to official data, more than 160,000 farmers have committed suicide in India since 1997."

Think of what you want people[good nutricious food and sustainable agriculture],not what you don't want [Monsanto,Queen Elizabeth,]who are merely distractions from attaining God Consciousness.
Focus your power on yourself and what is Right always.

Mike, I agree with what you're saying to a certain extend. However if you don't share the knowledge of the dangers of certain issues like GM and Monsanto, you might be preventing people from making an educated choice. Throughout history deception and control has only been defeated by the conscious choice of the educated masses. If people aren't aware of a danger they won't know how to avoid it.

Be very wary and fearful of Monsanto. They create Franken Foods. Monsanto wants to change the agriculture business forever. As consumers and concerned ciztens we must take every action against Monsanto.

Would have loved to sign and send off, but the as a German living in Taiwan, the delivery system does not allow me to send without a valid US address of residency.
But action is being (and has been) otherwise. I hope more countries will follow Germany's and EU's example and shut the door to Monsanto!
Thanks for the Info
