Military action on humanitarian grounds is an option to get more aid to Burma. Britain's foreign secretary said the "responsibility to protect" UN doctrine, could apply to natural disasters. "All instruments of the UN should be available"

I agree. The military (UN peacekeeping forces?) could do some good for a change.
They can be of much help, bringing in necessities of life to the Burmese cyclone victims. Starting at the very latest TOMORROW!

Why has this not been done yet? Until they make up their minds what to do with Burma, thousands more will be dead. The UN is as useless as tits on a bull when it comes to aiding the most needy countries in the world. Because there is no oil, it's not so important to help as fast as possible.(sarcasm)

If it was not for China (of course) and Russia, the UN Security Council would have decided to go in with help 4 days after the cyclone.

This shows what the UN is good for in cases like this. Maybe they make a decision when most people are already dead or sick. Or they discuss the case for another two weeks.
