It's amazing what people will say online. A North Carolina Democrat named Jim Turner posted on his Facebook page that he has voted FOUR times already and will vote again on election day.

Where is conscience, ethics, and morality in not taking advantage of the precious freedom and right to vote. As far as I'm concerned there ought to be a list of voters and their photos and they should be stricken off voting lists. This is an absolute violation.

This is a poster child case for Voter ID laws!

Disgusting! There should be a criminal charge for this.

The right has a credibility problem, from Faux News to the right-wing blogosphere, to Romney's SuperPac ads. The party that disenfranchises millions of voters and restricts voter turnouts and voter rights...shouldn't be calling our voter fraud. They should be in the slammer.

This is why Voter I.D.s should be a law, to put a stop to this kind of fraud.

If this is real, indeed there ought to be criminal charges made.

Left or right one vote one person is the law of the land. Yet stories are breaking IN AMERICA OF ALL PLACES that voter fraud is taking place on both sides of the aisle.

Voter ID would do away with this. Time to come into the new world folks and demand it across America. We have it here in Canada and it works well. If people cannot afford it they get it for free. Time for America to clean up its voting act.

Dennis Sweitzer - I first learned about the Nevada woman when a woman I know on FB posted the article under the heading, "Obama supporter arrested trying to vote twice in one day".

I did a quick internet search and quickly discovered the Las Vegas Sun article and counless other outlets posting the article. This led to the fact that the woman arrested was a registered Republican. With exception of FOX and a Pro-Romney Facebook page posting the article (both which omitted the Republican Party affiliation) every other outlet that I saw for the article mentioned the woman's Republican Party affiliation.

Probably because FOX carried it, someone just assumed that it was "one of THEM" (a Liberal/ Democrat) that would do that and changed it to say "Obama supporter" as is being forwarded on Facebook....

Likewise, so many people are expecting the electronic voting machines to not count their vote correctly, one must take not only the machines and results with a grain of salt but also what people "think" they saw and "report" seeing when voting....

Sounds more like Republican propaganda to me. By now there would a HUGE public outcry. How is that even possible without the whole country finding out and making a scene?
Nah! I don't buy it.

I don't know what is more amazing - the man's brazenness or the refusal of progressives on this very comment board to recognize the problem (or to pretend against all evidence that Republicans are doing it more).

Why not form a Voter Fraud Registery nationwide so that offenders would be a matter of public record for fduture elections?

The only places to site this story were all right wing hack sites. No legitimate news organization has picked up this story, which says to me that this is made up. And being used to fuel a fake fire of .0004 voter fraud in this country. Stupid stores like these are what get voter disenfranchisement laws teeth; It's s fake people, wake up! I've seen two other stories and they were all for poeple voting FOR Obama. How curious? So when Romney loses, those tea bagger nut jobs can say, "it's a conspiracy! He was cheated! " Please C2C have some resemblance of vetting your stories.

Wait a minute..... people are taking this seriously?

If a sane person wanted to commit voter fraud like this, he would not announce it to the world. They would try to keep it secret, like Roxanne Rubin of Nevada:
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/nov/02/southern-nevada-woman-arrested-suspicion-trying-vo/

The guy is either:
A delusional nut case, who is utterly convinced that he did vote multiple times in spite never being near a voting booth.
Or a Republican claiming to be a democrat trying to upset people, at which he seems to be succeeding.

Use some common sense people. Just because someone puts it on the internet doesn't mean it's true.

I doubt if this is a valid story. At least here in Oklahoma, we have voter registration cards, one per person, and must show our driver's license or other ID, and then sign a printout next to our name in the correct precinct. You can't run around voting in the wrong precinct, because your name will not be on the printout. It has been this way (except for showing the picture ID) as long as I've lived here--over 30 years.

http://www.wral.com/facebook-joke-brings-allegations-of-voter-fraud/11739406/ He was joking. It was checked out and there is no evidence at all that he has voted in any of those places.

I'VE VOTED TWICE THIS YEAR! Once last spring, in the primaries, once--wait, I haven't voted the second time yet. Never mind, by this time tomorrow I'll have voted the second time.

I'll be expecting my news crew.

I've been a pollworker here in California for almost 3 decades. it's virtually impossible to vote more than once. The number of safeguards makes for a long list. I'd suspect only someone who gets illegal access to a hunk of ballots could get away with this but if a bunch of ballots get stuffed in the box (it's guarded constantly) the count won't match up with the number of signatures at the end of the day. If these states don't have the safegards in place that we have, then their system is terribly flawed. That's why we are overdue for a national uniform voting practices/tech/ ID for any election involving a federal post.

I agree with Bill C. This REEKS of G.O.P. fantasy. If not, then this guy should sue the person who posted a SCREEN SHOT of his FB page/comment. That is not right. I don't believe it in the first place, though.

Even the Repug NC Board of Elections says that there is absolutely no evidence that voter fraud was actually committed and the whole incident is a bad joke. That is unlike the Repug Election worker in souther WA who was caught filling in ballots for Repug candidates.
Sorry Cam once again nice try but a lie is still a lie particularly when you have as usual absolutely no verifiable proof, and the proof from NC says you are spreading lies again.
