If there are to many bears, don't you think there are to many humans too, why have jails, why do taxpayers have to pay for people who commit crimes to live in jail with all the comforts of home after they commited a horrible crime?

Poor bears. Humans take their habitat to build homes, huge malls, and many golf courses and then complain because there are too many bears encrouching on "their" property. It's the other way around, people.

Ruth, honestly...have you ever been to jail? If not, then you don't know what you're talking about, so you're just showing your prejudice. Bears have nothing to do with people going to jail.
Yes, we have taken up the bears' habitat, so we really can't complain when they come calling... and yes, there are too many people, but what does anyone suggest we do about it? Really! Shall we TNR them like feral cats or do we just kill off the poor, old and weak? there are no easy answers to these problems....

So they get put on protection, their #'s come back and then they're taken back off the list...and now people can kill them again? Makes no sense.

The Florida black bears should stay on the state protection list. Some people don't understand. There needs to be a better management plan for protection of the bears.

Yeah well, delist from the ESA, lose State protection, what's the difference - our animal kingdom is on the 'losing side' against some of the filthy 2-legged Planet Earth dwellers!! Wish they could come up with a 'better management plan' for homo sapiens? Wherever there's a human 'finger in the pie', disaster strikes! But let's not get too downhearted and disheartened - carry on fighting for our planet, no matter what!!
