You know, when I saw the trailor for this movie on the telly, I thought this looks like an Animal rights film, because there's one scene where they lock up the primary hero Ape, and the next trailor scene, he's setting all the imprisoned apes free. Woopee! Now, normally, I would not see a film like this, but I just think I will now after reading your post and having my suspicion confirmed. They can have my dollars. Thank you Lindsey.

Thanks Lindsey! The hubby and I are going to see it later tonight, and I was a bit nervous about it! I refuse to pay money to see any animal getting hurt!!

I saw the producer Franko on David Letterman a few weeks ago. I'm familiar with his work because he did a stint on 'General Hospital' last year.....won't bore you with details but suffice it to say, Franko is a good guy! TY Lindsey for posting!

I saw the original years ago on the sci-fi channel when they did a marathon - and he's right, using real apes would undercut the entire story of the movie. Hard to do a story about the rise of the apes from the torment humans put them through and then use the very apes whose bad treatment is the entire reason they hate humans so much. o.O

I never thought I'd see the day when I wanted to see a movie from that story but when I first saw the teaser (which i still listen from time to time on YouTube...i have it in my it especially the music) but this movie really looks good; I would of seen it in a movie theatre if there were one near here that shows movies in english!

Thanks Lindsey, I wouldnt normally look twice at films with animals advertised in them...but this sounds different.
