This is not the time to desert us. This is not the time to be the representative for the private health insurance industry. We need you to stand up!" - Michael Moore

Moore is a liar and an entertainer .... anyone who believes otherwise has seriously been taken in by this goof .... he is a good singer though!

No Northern, What Moore said is EXACTLY what the majority here belive. Maybe if you had to argure for A YEAR AND A HALF with the insurance company to get the surgury for your son that the doctors said he NEEDED, maybe you could understand. For myself, I see HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of dollars in 'healthcare' CEO pay and BILLIONS spent on wars we don't want and have to ask 'where is the justice'?

Hi,

I just signed a petition to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to stop protecting corporate Democrats who are willing to filibuster a public health insurance option.

Can you please add your name?

Northern, using such strong language! That tells me you maybe the "goof" is or should I say "What makes you right and Michael Moore a "liar"? And yes Michael P the majority belives this is truth.

Does that make you on the side of the corportions?

Alba thanks for petition on my way :)

noted and thanks mamabear.

Alba here are the 5 Democrats who are holding a good health care plan hostage along with the Republican's .

Baucaus Mt. ,Lincoln AR. ,Nelson NE. , Conrad ND. , and last but not least Carper De. write these suckers and give them a piece of your mind.
The Health Care bill even if it is passed has been so watered down it will be useless .
I voted for Obama and I still have faith in him to do the right thing but I really have to say he should have never changed from a single POayer Health Care plan to this watered down version of a public health care bill.

I am very great-full to Mr.Moore for having the courage to tell the truth ,to the world ,about many problems that are destroying the quality of life of many American citizens. As we should all know by now what happens here has a large effect on the rest of the world.

I believe that anything short of a single payer option will leave so many people without coverage and the destruction that follows. Once again it will leave many ways for the insurance companies and for profit hospitals to gain even more. Leaving the top 2% to gain great profits while the middle class continues to disappear. B. Me, too - I'm grateful to Michael Moore as well - yes, he can be corny, he can be weird, but he is not afraid to speak out. Northern, you may never know what some people go through with health insurance companies - if not, you will be one of the lucky ones. Keeping people sick is big business here in the USA - Bravo to Michael Moore and to all of you who are not afraid to tell it like it is.

I really like Michael Moore and his work. As much as he publicly and verbally throws the powers that be to the curb in his movies, I'm surprised that he is still alive, and doesn't have his name on the ten most wanted lists. Supposedly, we have the right to free speech in this country, but not really. Protestors are treated like criminals by policemen like in Pittsburg.

Thanks Linda for naming the 5 It is not a secret. And to place them on a stsge to throw stones is not good for America

A pool of options where there is a choice adding A public Option is best for America. With the strong hold the Insurance com. /with the help of the Republians. It is time for them to be held accountable/keep prices down with competition. Single Payer will be in our future. President Obama will be the beginning.

Everyone most remmeber that Obama will have the last word and I believe that a puplic option will be the health care bill

Anything less than single payer is a failure and a handout to the unsurence companies.

Norther N you sure are in the minority. I go along with all the others. Michael has a big heart and what he says is the truth. He always fights for the workers, poor people, disadvantaged. He is the kind of man who gives a helping hand to those less fortunate, you on the other hand sound like a me, me, and me kind of guy, no empathy for those in need.

I am sorry u feel that way Carmen because u know nothing about me .... I have enjoyed the interviews I have seen Moore do lately but have to disagree that empathy may be at the bottom of why he does what he does .... he has become a gazillionaire off of the system he mocks and in "Sicko" he did not tell the truth about my health care system here in Canada - not at all .... he is an entertainer - that is all ....

I'm sick of all bad arguments against National health care. We have National health care in Sweden and it's great. Because of my disability I can't get a life insurance and I couldn't pay my own health care. When my dad had new hipjoints he had specialist health care and didn't pay anything for the surgery. Sure, we have high taxes but then we can give everyone the help they need. No one is guaranteed to stay healthy, the opponents should think about that. Next time it can be their health care.

Nobody owns the Truth; not even Moore or Obama. The matter of public health insurance is extremely vexing and should be solved by professionals with abundant experience on the subject and in its due time. Improvisation, as practised in third-world countries, will only bring third-world results. The U.S. is not perfect and should be willing to learn from the handful of countries that provide their citizens with superior public health insurance.
