The next election can't come soon enough.

We must end our dependence on petroleum. Electric cars are becoming feasisble.
We can get all our fuel from high-yield crops. We can eat vegetarian and greatly reduce our use of energy, water and land.

We can become more self-sufficient and live within the planet's resources. How many of us need that new car, that new oversized appliance or new boat?

We must vote the Republican Party out. Support the Green, the Constitution, the Balanced, and the Libertarian parties. The Democratatic Party has shown us they mean only higher taxes, no end to the illegar wars.

Daniel while I agree with some of what you said I think you are forgetting an important truth .
Most of us can't afford a new car never mind an electric one and most of us don't have land to grow our own crops or the money to maintain a vegetarian diet .
Believe me I tried it once and found my dollar doesn't go as far when eating vegitarian .
Some if not the majority of us just don't have the means.
What I have done to offset my dependence on oil and gas is ,,I have a used foreign made car Nissan that is built to last well over 300,000 miles and is fuel efficient ,,also I have cut out the traveling I used to do and use my car mostly to run errands or to travel within a 20 mile radius .I have found that I can make that tank of gas stretch for alomost the whole month .
I replaced all my lights in my house with energy efficient light bulbs and don't buy high ticket items I don't absolutely need .
It would be nice if we could go back to the barter system but I don't see it happening in my area.
