Top positions at the DEA are still filled by Bush cronies, who are attempting to undercut the Obama's pledge.

What is their problem? Marijuana is an essentially benign plant which has real medicinal value. The DEA allows the prescription of far more dangerous drugs - ridiculous to single out the use of one which has so few, if any, dangers.

Keep in mind who the actual "Big Boys" are within the overall drug market, especially those who have methods for funding arms for drug deals~~~

This is silly. Marijuana is not a dangerous drug and should be legal, all over. Too many people behind bars for petty marijuana sales. Too much money being spent on them being in jail. Legalize it, and lets all get together and celebrate.

As long as there is Big Money to be made through the black market because of Marijuana's status as a Class 1 drug, it will remain illegal.

Marijauna is, by far, the largest cash-crop produced in the US. Tens of Billions a year are made off of it. You really think the Fed and states arent seeing a bit of that revenue, if not directly, then from Court System and Prison revenue?
