This is what I hate when ever there is an animal cause of disease because of the horrid ways humans keep the animals in confinement. The same happened to thousands of birds, ducks, chickens etc. got thrown in garbage bags and suffocated or burned alive in incinerators during asian out break of bird flu. And cows destroyed during mad cow scare. The animals take the blame for stupid human cruelty.

Slaughtering these animals will in no way have any effect whatsoever on the transmission of "swine flu" as has already been stressed by many experts. This is unnecessary and cruel.

It is allways the innocent that has to suffer and this is due to some one who accidently missplaced the s;ubstance that cause swine flu.

Maybe this flu will finally be the beginning of not using pigs for food. If they have to slaughter off all the pigs and cant afford to get more to raise for food maybe they will decide to not raise them at all.

It isnt cruel to kill them because of the flu scare, they would kill them for food anyway.

Its not about using them for food..It is about the extreme filth and inhumane way they are kept..
They have brought this on themselves..They need to change the way they raise and or slaughter these animals..

Another senseless act to cater to the laziness of the human race. It is sickening the thought pattern that finds it easiest to kill helpless pigs, than to Care for the Pigs Properly, while educating and Expecting People to conduct Proper Hygiene & WASH THEIR Flip'n Hands. A reminder of how narrow minded & senseless Authority Figures are, and How Useless they are to Society.

Echoing my sweet friend Jill,
this is absolutely unnecessary.
It has been stressed, over-and-over,
by the highest authourities, that
Swine Flu CAN NOT be transmitted by
the consumption of pork.
There is heslthy and sensible reaction to
this, and there is shear over-reaction.
