Yes, like many Australian marsupials, Sugar Gliders are outrageously cute!

Yes, they are very cute, but I wonder if having them as pets is any different than someone who has reptiles or exotic birds; which is strongly opposed? Sugar Gliders are native to Australia, protected by law in Australia, feed and live in acacia and eucalyptus trees and live in groups. Then people put them in cages and call them 'pets'. Is it acceptable because they're small, cute and adorable and make 'good' pets? (I know that if we were talking about my python, it would be a very different story...)
