Comments deluged the site at a rate of about 1 every 20 seconds, calling on Coke to put the source of its bottled water on Dasani brand labels...fans were prevented from writing on Coke's Facebook wall and the corporation promptly deleted all comments...

Why? Everyone knows bottled water is simply filtered water from where ever the bottling plant is, just run thru a filter and meets FDA standards.

Coke does not hide that.

If you go to the site at the bottom of the page it clearly says click here for "water source" and tells you. You would have to be pretty foolish to think all the water came from the same place so logic follows where ever it was botteled is where the water came from.

Bill, thank you for voicing your opinion. I have found I often do not agree with you but i appreciate that you comment, if anything to make people look deeper into what is posted.
I don't carry my coputer to the store and I think what goes into anything or where it comes from should be on the label. I shouldn't have to wait before buying an item to look it up on the internet to find out that information.

This is ridiculous. Who really cares? All water comes out of a tap somewhere on earth and then what happens next depends on the way it is filtered. I won't drink the water that comes out of my tap in my home because it taste horrible.Even with flavor added you still taste that yucky taste.I only drink Aquafina and I guess I was the only person on earth who knew it came out of a tap and what made it so good was the way it was filtered. So I couldn't understand that BS uproar last year. I don't know about other people but the yucky water flowing from my tap is not free.I pay a water bill each month. Some of the cost is sewar and garbage but forget and leave the water running outside or use more than usual inside and you will see just how free it really is.

Dansani and Aquafina, both taste like their makers biggest product to me. Dansani like Coke, Aquafina like Pepsi. I believe they stick some in to get people to like the taste. Where I live my well water is not drinkable without being boiled. Yummy... so would you all like it if I gave you an invite and offered you up some H20, and not tell you about this???? Hmmmm....

Our water is pretty good, but I buy water to take on the road with us. I try to use our water at home, and even tho it's very good i filter it with a filtered pitcher. Our daughter has terrible water, smells like poo. She has a filter on her refrigerator that filters it so you can't taste anything or smell anything. She had it checked to make sure it was okay. If that little filter does the job, why can't people who have smelly water, but not contaminated, get a little filter too. Try it, it might work.

how expensive a bottle of water is, it's insane! yes, filter your own, much cheaper, and you can re-use your container, how many of them in the landfills? ty Peace, great item, great comments.

We know where it comes from, it is on the label that it is filtered and not spring. The point is that it is filtered and won't make you sick. It is sad that tap water can not be trusted anymore, but true. Your own filter is dicey at best. Give credit where credit is due. They filter and test and that is what we want. It is cheaper at Wilmar! Oh, now I have set you off again! :)

The reason why Coke is not revealing the 'source' of dashani water -people won't buy because quality is not THERE.They profiting from ' misleading' the buying public. That is blatant false advertisement to maximise profits. No more COKE for me.Roseann s

Dasani is not spring water I don't buy it! Tap water has what the city or town puts in it ....and I filter it. Thanks Peace.
