Once again, this is a matter dealing with a foriegn country. Nobody over there gives a shit. And neither does anyone of consequence over here. Yeah, its important that everyone is treated fairly and justly, blah blah blah, but you gotta let the little shit slide so the big shit can be properly dealt with. This website is cute and all, but my god is it the most useless waste of time and energy. It's awesome that these things are brought to light on this website, and that you get to share them, but it's not worth a damn. For one, your petitions don't mean anything; the stupid and many petitions take away what power of voice the other petitions have, but that doesn't even matter because something signed online like this has virtually no credibility at all. Seriously, come on people. Geez, if you guys are gonna take a stance, make it count,. It is cool to be able to network, and that's where the real power of something like this comes from. If you wanna make something happen with the millions of people on here, there should be more emphasis on actual action, walk the walk, blah blah blah. The hearts of most of the people on here are in the right place, and most of them are pretty intelligent just to able to know this stuff is worth caring about, but man oh man I can't even begin to think about how self-defeating it can get. Nick Josh K Karean, everybody else like him, if you care enough to put this stuff, make it better than the slaughter of dozen dogs in some foreign country that doesn't even matter. It is worth knowing, and it is insprirational, but a petition is just retarded. Please, people, make this site worth something.

Thank you for your comments Garvo... And since I'm, unfortunately, a Malaysian, can you tell me what better way am I to take action on the Malaysian Government other than write a petition and get a global support? Direct Action? For your information, the petition will also be forwarded to the media's attention so that they will monitor the governments next course of action after the petition is submitted. Also, small things like this is the reason bigger things in the future will be taken more seriously. I will write a petition for every siingle cruelty that takes place immaterial what, when and where it happens. Every kind of cruelty that happens must be taken into account. It does not matter what degree it is and where it is done. And for the things you have mentioned (slaughter of dozen dogs in some foreign country) and such... well, you don't have to worry about that too... a petition has been created long ago, and all work to end it is in progress... We hope you can help us to help the helpless as much as you can talk.

And Garvo, in the future, please use a more respectful language as all negative comments such as this will be deleted. Only constructive comments will be displayed. Your attempt to manipulate people's mind in order to reduce the signing of petitions is too obvious and will not work. And your understanding on how things work is rather shallow... my advise, get re-educated.

Nick, regret all posted by Garvo - We are all here (with few exceptions) trying to help! Petition signed and crossposting! Because the more we fight, the more better results we will get. You know, cruelty comes from distorted minds, good people help, do not hurt others, animals or so called humans. Let us continue running after that we believe to be the correct way to get a good result.

I just signed the petition, Nick, and thank you for putting it up. I have been following this distressing case in the news and have felt very saddened by it. We can only hope that out of this horror some good will come in the future. Postings about what happened, petitions, articles in the news all help to disseminate information and inform people of the situation in Malaysia. The 'slaughter of dozen dogs in some foreign country' (actually it was 13) does matter to us. We have to help each other in any way we can and be grateful that there are those like Mr. Eng to care about dogs and Nick to create petitions.

Thanx for putting up this petition and letting the rest of the world know how screwed up most Malaysians are when it comes to animal welfare. When I first came to the U.S., the first thing I noticed was there's no strays on the streets and majority of the people treat dogs and cats like family. And it was painful to compare the difference between the lives of animals in the U.S. and Malaysia. Hopefully, the government will listen and actually do something about it! I've signed it and have circulated the petition around.

Oh boy by the look of his picture he must live in Canada. To show a picture of a seal going to be beaten pathetic. As I am a Canadian I am ashamed to know this barbaric slaughter still goes on. We are no better than any other country. And from someone else's eyes a different point of view we are (the canadians) a foreign country as well. So in all fairness we ourselves are dealing with our own pathetic country lack of animal rights and some people who have no shame. I'm am sorry if he has insulted anyone here. Nick I have signed your petiton and noted. Thank you very much. As an avid animal lover we must do what we must.

Thanks Mary for your understanding and for your kind words. There's no need for the apology, we quite understand. Gravo the Great probably means well but the manner he chosed to communicate his message would probably not be the best of choices in order to foster peace and friendship... We all hope for the better in all circumstances...
