The average pay for all 138 executives is $2.5 million a year. All of them work for seven companies bailed out with tens of billions in taxpayer dollars: Bank of America, Citigroup, AIG, General Motors, Chrysler, GMAC and Chrysler Financial

Hard work and excellent accomplishment should be rewarded. Excessive executive pay that exponentially exceeds the majority of a company's other hard, accomplished workers' pay is not reward...it is most definitely a system of the wealthy protecting the wealthy. I am always amazed at the populations of poor and middle class who support this system, when all research data shows that their own wages continue to decline and be eaten away in living costs and the debts that financial institutions approve and push on them. Yes, we can all be more responsible with our money. This article points to a system that we should speak out against...a system where only the wealthiest are being rewarded, not for their "hard work" and certainly not for good work, but for work that has brought about recession and hard times for most populations.

It's the rich that get the pleasure and the poor that get the blame it's the same the whole world over ain't that a bloomin shame! So sang the assembled glitteratti at the G20 and all these high priced junkets to sort out the economc crisis here there and everywhere! Is it too much to ask a for a bit of restraint and reduction of the hyper greed that catapulted us into this situation. Must the working class be for ever saddled with the Oliver Twist line "Please Sir can I have some more?" Only cruel gruel does not pay the mortgage or feed the whole family or all the taxes governments demand to fund everything from illegal wars to monumentally lavish banquets for the rich and powerful who really do not need freebies and state handouts anymore than they need the second hand skins of animals on their obese backs! The bankers continue to act discracefully whilst our pension funds have become worthless they float around on gold bars as though there is no crisis which of course there is not for them, we have bailed the greedy bankers out and the the rest of the profligate hangers on and manufacturers of cars that have refused to accept the reality of wastage or speculation at our expense! I want to know when can we cancel the invitation to the international bunfight and booze up we have so unwittingly provided or can we come too!
