With almost daily reports detailing how human activities are decimating other species, researchers from the University of North Carolina are making the unique call for human intervention in controlling the Atlantic Ocean's lionfish population.

interesting ... I enjoy watching lionfish in aquariums. I didn't realize they were so abundant...not sure introducing other species to help eat them is wise. I guess if people eat them, maybe allow a certain number to be caught.

It's doesn't seem as if it's much of sport fish but something must be done about invasive species.
