A team from the Yogyakarta Archeological Center discovered earlier this week hundreds of pieces of earthenware dating back to the Tang Dynasty in China during an excavation at the Liyangan archaeological site in Purbosari village, Temanggung, Central Java

Evidence of a thriving International export-import trade, way back when...

The Ceramic in the photo must've been gorgeous, what colors! It must have been the "fine", better ware - and it looks to have been huge, what craftsmanship and skill to make - and then transport safely - such a fragile item! Must've been EXTREMELY valuable... high prestige.

Cross-cultural stimulation, ideas flow as well as trade...
