Very touching story that sadly hits too close to home. Ironically, the pendent was engraved with the words, "Mazel Tov"....literally meaning "good fortune" and used to express congratulations for a happy and significant occasion or event. .

It's wonderful that the finding of the pendant has created this get together & dedication memorial of relatives scattered globally!

Can we please not wait over seventy years to place memorials to people of color murdered by law enforcement? Not, of course, that there weren't many more victim of genocide who also deserve memorials. But my suggestion is one project we can take on, without research, because we do know their names, along with researching other genocides.
