France, the home of patisserie from the chocolate éclair to the profiterole, has acquired something of an appetite for British cakes and puddings.

Hopefully the beginning of the end of the hard-boiked French belief that British food is, well, not French so not acceptable... this contributions special for my British buddies.

Quelle surprise! I thought Profiteroles and Eclairs were British! Must be all those "Mars" bars exported by the Martians to the French Space Agency. I do hope the French Health Service is gearing up for the obesity epidemic that will surely follow with extra large ambulances on order and larger medical aircraft like the Aussies Flying Doc Service are having to aquire. Somehow the thought of strolling around Montmartre avec Mr Kipling's French Fancies does not do it for me! Vive la Crepe Chantilly and Pomme Fritte Anglais!

I am British and I have to admit after traveling the world and living in many different countries there is nothing like the good old deserts. I am homesick now!
