Where Will Bush Rank in Presidential History?

If Harry S Truman did it, why can't George W. Bush? Truman came back from the political abyss -- his public approval rating sank as low as 22 percent thanks in large part to America's entry into the Korean War and his handling of labor disputes at home

I really don't think he'd even get one vote on this site . . . but I am waiting for the brave soul who will admit it. (laugh)

GWB's presidency probably parallels Abraham Lincoln's more than any other and, depending on who writes the histories, he could be cast in as good a light as Lincoln.

He will be ranked as the worst President ever in the USA!!! Hopefully that will happen after he and Cheney are tried for crimes of treason against their country!!!
At that point, I would have to agree with Phyllis and Sharen, bottom of the s**t pile!!
Noted and thanks Pretty

This President is the worst in history!!! There is no way in hell his rating is going to improve, unless he volentarily steps down. He has crushed our Constitution and The Bill of Rights, yet this cowardly congress refuses to do what the American people are telling them, and IMPEACH!!! Keep up the fight, continue to raise your voices, together we will be heard!!!! Maybe just maybe, we can save our country from certain demise. Tear Down That Wall!!! Bring Back Habeas Corpus!!! Stop Spying On Americans!!! IMPEACH BUSH AND CHENEY!!!

Hello, the President has no clothes! This man is the WORST in history. He has created a nation with a paranoid populace, less from "terrorists" than from his own Nazi monitoring policies, made us the laughing stock of the world, failed miserably on every home front, from farming, mining and energy, to the economy. His cabinet is fleeing like rats on a sinking ship. I cannot even SEE this mans likeness without going into a blind rage. America will return 1-20-2009. Until then, I am working on my EU citizenship...just in case we get republicans again. (Although, our Democratic Speaker of the House is proving to be quite the BushCo lapdog)

Sorry Belinda, but even stepping down isn't going to improve his rating. He stole his first term with the help of his brother and the Florida Elections commissioner and only won his second term because of the antiquated Electoral College. He was never the most popular as far as the American people are concerned. Phyllis hit the nail on the head!!! He will be known as the president that surrounded himself with idiots so he would look smart, but even rats are smart enough to abandon a shipwreck.

Bravo, Ralph!

His seat was bought, but not by the people he was "paid" to serve. He is a disgrace. I am grateful that I can say I had no part in his term in office.

Actually, we don't know how far his public esteem will continue to plummet. Historians will uncover new devilish doings of this bunch and as the fallout from Iraq, Katrina, the World Trace Center, etc. continues to play out, I'm pretty sure that the next generations to come will have an even dimmer view of what his Administration started worldwide. The meltdown of US authority and prestige abroad, alkone, should ensure his slot at the bottom of the list. If the Democrat elected next year only does a less crappy job, that's all, he (or she) should have no difficulty in being held in higher esteem.

I think Bush has the dubious win as 'all time worst President'.
