Use of pesticides here is different, we have no planes and such large agro production . But peasants know that pesticides help them to get more from the land and , since many of them are not educated, they buy it (and we have supplies here old for decades, bought from countries where particular pesticides were forbidden for years) , use it in enormous quantities without any control, not respecting even time of currence. So, here is very risky to buy anything.
So, you can imagine consequences , not for consumers only , but for producers and their environment places people sharing.
Going green?
Well, it is much more wide and demanding task, than just restrict pesticides. Population grow, Earth the same, in fact not the same, but every day more exosted.
We must make balance between population and spending natural resources!
Sometimes I compare mankind to cancer cells-spreading, eating all healthy tissue, till eat everything , give back nothing but poisons, and finaly dies with its host!

I have been ill for two weeks with "upper respiratory" congestion. It is NOT allergies. The day before I got sick, I saw the chemtrails in the sky. I have no idea what they used--but even though I'm feeling a bit better; I feel weak. My family never sprays pesticides on our garden...we have lots of bugs, and wildlife--so I know it is from something else that dropped down from overhead :(. Thank you for this article--I have been trying to tell my friend in California that this is not a "conspiracy theory".

I remember looking up from mowing my Mothers yard, years ago, and seeing a plane spraying directly over my head. Nothing in the news about why or what they were spraying. Don't all those insecticides say not to get it on your skin? Let alone inhale it?

How can they do that without testing? Aren't they doing the same with the medicine? The FDA is approving many medications without sufficient testing and in afew years people will pay for it with their life. Havn't they done the same about many other things? including the war in Iraq and now so called nuclear power plants of Iran? who is paying the price for these behavior except some people who are just numbers for the politicians of this country? And if they want to do it who can stop them?

Cheers Scott.I feel that this incident is a part of a pattern where agro-business needs,take priority over the things we care about..people,animals and environment.The North American native people,had a much more harmonious and civilised attitude to all of those things..and had a dignity so sadly lacking amongst our present rulers.
I don't know what the law is in Canada and the USA,but we have not yet seen any corporate manslaughter,murder legislation on our UK statute book.It has been promised for some time by our so called Labour Government..but they are so in hoc to business,that the bill will be watered down,if it is enacted at all.
These people always scream about legislation tying up free trade,yet are incapable of acting responsibly.The makers of the drug Thalidomide (which left thousands of newborn babies with very short arms and/or legs ..and which my own mum was offered,but declined)..continue to peddle this drug around Africa.It seems that when stopped in the west,the business moves to other less regulated areas.

We have already been sprayed twice. Many of us got sick. I was sick for months. Of course, the USDA says that these chemicals are not the reason that so many of us got aick. The spray says specifically not to get it in the water so they sprayed right on the coast over the Monterey Bay Marine Refuge. Interestingly, Carmel and Pebble Beach, both of which have more trees than the northern end of the bay where I live, were not sprayed.

I am catching up with this issue. To late I fear, as the chemtrails had been over Iowa for at least a month. Oddly enough they stopped two days ago. A strange illness had showned itself in the cities, it constricts the throat. I think it is a reaction to the chemicals that have been sprayed. Take a month a off and I come back to discover I, and many of us have been poisoned by our own governement.

Government scientists have been experimenting with the feasibility of bombarding the Earth's upper atmosphere with microscopic glass particles to dampen the effects of "global warming," despite warnings that the process could damage the ozone layer. Are admissions of government research into altering the earth's atmosphere tied to increasing reports of chemtrail spraying over the past 10 years?
According to documents obtained by Cybercast News Service under the Freedom of Information Act, "Scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Savannah River National Laboratory in Aiken, S.C., are conducting limited tests and developing computer models of what might happen if a huge amount of particulate matter is shot into the stratosphere."
"The particles, consisting of a very fine and special form of glass - "porous-walled glass microspheres" - would be able to absorb a certain amount of carbon dioxide, and would reflect sunlight away from the Earth," states the article.
The project, which began last year and ends on April 30, is closely tied to an idea by Nobel Prize winner Paul Crutzen, who "proposed sending aircraft 747s to dump huge quantities of sulfur particles into the far-reaches of the stratosphere to cool down the atmosphere."

Tom Wigley, a scientist with the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo., told Cybercast News Service that research into injecting aerosols into the upper atmosphere, referred to as "geo-engineering," has been ongoing.
"Geo-engineering is the intentional large-scale intervention into the environment to counteract anthropogenic (our human-caused) climate change," Wigley said.
Fred Singer, president of the Science Environmental Policy Project and a skeptic of man-made global warming theories, said unwanted side-effects could occur if the proposals were tested on a large scale.
"If you do this on a continuous basis, you would depress the ozone layer and cause all kinds of other problems that people would rather avoid," Singer told Cybercast News Service .
Patrick Michaels, a research professor of environmental sciences at the University of Virginia, said that the "geo-engineering" proposals stem from research by, "Soviet scientists in the 1970s, who were trying to change the climate over Northern Russia and reverse the flow of certain rivers."
Reports of chemtrails, jet plumes emitted from planes that hang in the air for hours and do not dissipate, have increased over the last 10 years. Many have speculated that they are part of a government program to alter climate, inoculate humans against certain pathogens, or even to toxify humans as part of a population reduction agenda.
Earlier this year, KSLA news investigation found that a substance that fell to earth from a high altitude chemtrail contained high levels of Barium (6.8 ppm) and Lead (8.2 ppm) as well as trace amounts of other chemicals including arsenic, chromium, cadmium, selenium and silver. Of these, all but one are metals, some are toxic while several are rarely or never found in nature.
The newscast focuses on Barium, which its research shows is a "hallmark of chemtrails." KSLA found Barium levels in its samples at 6.8 ppm or "more than six times the toxic level set by the EPA." The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality confirmed that the high levels of Barium were "very unusual," but commented that "proving the source was a whole other matter" in its discussion with KSLA.
KSLA also asked Mark Ryan, Director of the Poison Control Center, about the effects of Barium on the human body. Ryan commented that "short term exposure can lead to anything from stomach to chest pains and that long term exposure causes blood pressure problems." The Poison Control Center further reported that long-term exposure, as with any harmful substance, would contribute to weakening the immune system, which many speculate is the purpose of such man-made chemical trails.
