I use ear candles, and contrary to popular belief, they do not extract ear wax from the ear while you are using the candle. Any residues found inside the cone after treatment is melted beeswax and ashes! check here for more info: http://wallysnatural.com/faq.html

you can put a Q-tip about an inch farther into your ear, so its taking something out,

- look at the magnified pics of what is in your ears, cyber stuff.

i wish i could take back my note on this. these ear candles do not take anything out of ur ears and in a lot of cases that can cause serious harm to the person using them. i thought it seemed like a pretty interesting thing so i did a little research and i no longer think they r interesting. sorry but i love my hearing too much to risk losing it to this. if u don't hold the candle just right u risk melted candle wax running down the cone and onto ur eardrum! a burnt eardrum is a serious matter and most often causes partial to full deafness! i also have to agree with Michelle M. because when i was doing the research, everything i read said that all the residue found in the cone after the treatment is melted candle wax (not ear wax) and ashes.

no thanks. i'd like to keep my hearing. ear candling has been known to cause severe burn damage to the eardrums which can lead to deafness. it has also been proven to not work. the residue that is left after the candling is done is not earwax, it is candle wax and ashes. i urge anyone who has ever done this to never EVER do it again if u want to keep ur hearing!
