The BLM once again wants to remove "pesky" burros (which are supposed to be federally protected) because they want the land for cattle grazing. These animals are not pests, but living on their natural homeland! Please sign to protect them!

I hate the BLM. They destroy anything that stands in the way of hunting and ranching. Since when have they EVER represented the general populace, which is what they are supposed to do? These lands rightfully belong to the citizens of America, and most of us do not approve of the renting out of acreage to run cattle on or hunting. Some of this BLM land is posted by ranchers stating trespassers will be shot. It's all strung up with barbed wire and the only way to see in is by helicopter. Oil shale is in there with the ranchers. Leave America's burros alone. They belong to us! The only reason you want them out is to run more cattle and profit from the slaughter of both.

Mustangs, wolves, bears, cougars, they all are in the way of humans. Why the hell can humans not tolerate them? They are part of the Creation and we have to accept that. Why don`t we can divide the natural habitat? Do we have to demonstrate that we are the more important, the more powerful and the more cruel predator? (and the most foolish one?).

What is it with the BLM they seem to do all they can to roundup and kill whenever someone needs the land they live on for their Greed Feed,,,,I live in cattle country and I can tell you that all this hamburger is ruining the natural grasslands and the environment. For some reason in this country we worship the COW. Ranchers kill what ever they like and herds of cattle rape the land. All this in the name of MONEY! Stop eating MEAT! the hormones and pesticides are bad for you anyway...Signing is great but action speaks louder.

I don't think Ken Salazar and the BLM will stop until all the horses and burros are rounded up and sent off to slaughter. Have to give the cattlemen more land so they can raise cows to kill. This govenment agency is out of control. The grab for land and the roundup and killing of horses is inexcusable.

the argument should be stated that the land belongs to the taxpayers of the united states. the blm is paid to protect the wildlife and the wild lands. the land is not to be held aside so that it may one day be raped of its natural resources by organizations who do not pay the appropriate moneys to take care of the land and the wild life. currently, the blm is delinquent on conducting environmental studies on the impact of cattle grazing. cattle grazing, when not done properly, tears up the land and increases sediment runoff into the streams and rivers, directly impacts the fisheries, decreasing numbers in fish. the cattle industry does not pay for the care of the land. the cattle industry does not pay for anything. the cattle industry has contaminated our natural lands with brucellosis, hoof and mouth, giardia lamblia, ecoli, and i am sure many other bacteriological diseases. the reason why the cattle industry does not want burros or horses or any other animal on blm lands is due to the bacteriological danger the cattle poses to the other animals. but in reality, the animals can become carriers of the many diseases brought by the cattle industry and they do not want to pay for a vaccination program. the cattle industry does not pay for the brucellosis check ups for the buffalo. but the blm rounds up the buffalo if the buffalo stray past the imaginary line of the land boundary and the rounded up buffalo are threatened with slaughter. this bullshit has got to stop! WE DO NOT PAY TAXES TO SUBSIDIZE IRRESPONSIBLE PRIVATE INDUSTRY!!! WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SUBSIDIZING PRIVATE INDUSTRY AT ALL but we do it all the time. it's the taxpayers that pays billions of dollars throughout the united states to filter out deadly bacteria in the municipal drinking water sources. the deadly bacteria comes from the cattle industry. cryptosporidia is the other bacteria that shows up fairly regularly. why in the world is the cattle not paying for this shit? they are the cause of it!

Thank you for taking the time to act on behalf of America's wild horses and burros. Your letter opposing the roundup in the Piute Mountain and Chocolate-Mule Mountains Herd Areas has been sent to the BLM Ridgecrest Field Office in California and the California State Director Mr. Hanna.

Each time we speak up on behalf of burros and mustangs, we are building an important record of public opposition to the federal government's current costly and cruel management policy. This record will play a critical role as we work to reform the Interior Department's wild horse and burro program and secure a safe and humane future for these iconic animals for generations to come.

As Thomas R states horses and burros were introduced by Christopher Columbus. However, didn't he precipitate another blight on the continent, white men? He has a lot to answer for. This land belongs to the people and should remain in its natural state. Cattle are a major contributor to global warming and should be limited. We are so used to cheap meat we treat everything cruelly in order to get it especially the cattle, which is disgusting.

I am sick of man's greed and the wrongful slaughter of animal life. When the BLM, wolf hunters, polar bear trophy hunters and all trappers kill everything off except cattle and sheep, what will you hunt next your neighbor? The BLM, Ken Salazar are all blood thirsty greed heartless liars and animal slayers. Stop this wicked destruction of animal life.
