Researchers found mercury in every fish tested in a nationwide stream survey, with some of the higher concentrations showing up in mining areas of the West.

As bad as this may be it may also be a blessing for the survival of the top of the food chain in the oceans, whales, dolphins and sharks. It is already known that these mammals have high concentrations of mercury and when people (the Japanese) start dying from mercury poising maybe just maybe they will STOP their so called research programs.
