Typical ego-driven marketeers and PR con artists, they almost got it right. "If green messages were simply better targeted, more people would be buying green products, conserving electricity and doing more to save the planet." Instead of "simply better targeted", it should read, "not hijacked and diluted".
At least they got this part right;
"If you’ve got a green ad campaign in the market now and you don’t feel like it’s driving inquiries the way it should, it’s a good bet it’s because the campaign is founded on myth rather than fact."
Well said. I've never met a commercial fisherman, farmer, rancher or hunter that wasn't an environmentalist.

Note this is an article by an ad agency.
They do say "green consumers aren’t easily defined by their age, income or ethnicity. "
So, all sorts of people want to buy energy efficiency. This is good news.
