Turkey and Armenia signed an accord Saturday to establish diplomatic relations after a century of enmity, as US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton helped the two sides clear a last-minute snag.

Clinton is turning into a dynamic head of the State Department. But I doubt that she will be able to solve the Mid East problem. However, Cal, this is the good news article I always look forward to you presenting to us.

The argument about Nagorno-Karabah is between Azerbajan and Christian Armenia, why is that Turkey's concern? Muslim Brotherhood in action again?

Thanks Cal

I await developments with interest, as Turkey has been denying "The Armenian Atrocities" since 1915. Perhaps those atrocities did not happen in the same way that the holocaust didn' happen either.

On the other hand if Turkey wants to join the European Union badly enough we may see some concessions.

Thannxx .. at least it is nice to know that there are two groups that are prepared to sit down and smoke the peace pipe together... eventually I hope that the rest of the nations will get together and learn how to read the smoke signals of peace

I don't doubt the sincerity of Hilary Clinton for one minute....but I'm glad I'm not the only one who views Turkeys involvement with some scepticism.....like mary I think they have an eye to business re joining the EU.....they could quite easily revert to the status quo later & blame the other side....hopefully Hilary won't be caught in the flak!

Elderberry, I wasn't talking about Clinton at all, see my post.

I was wondering what business Turkey has to do with Nagorno-Karabah, disputed between Muslim Azerbajan and Christian Armenia, and if it is another project by Turkish Muslim Brotherhood.
